Johnny Cage for several reasons:
1. He's the reason why MK exists (Bloodsport).
2. Based off of JCVD-a legitimate fighter with a record
3. Liu Kang is based off of Bruce Lee-a person with a huge amount of fanboys because of movies, yet there's no evidence of him fighting in tournaments.
3. Johnny Cage is a Deicide in the game due to his bloodline. He's technically invincible.
4. Defeated Shinnok and Goro
5. Johnny Cage always took skill to use, especially in MKX (A-list) and MK11. Liu Kang was always braindead and easy to use.
6. Most importantly, he's American and white.
