Shitposting aside, what is the future for Castlevania?
Outside of collections and the odd cameo, Konami doesn't seem all that interested in making a new game any time soon.

Bloodstained has flaws to be sure, but it's still a solid game with another solid previous entry and have been the most "Castlevania" a game series has been without it actually being Castlevania.

To say nothing about any previous teams probably having burned whatever bridge they had to Konami

There was that mobile game that hasn't been released yet.

Dead outside of Netflix. Look forward to black Isaac's season.

>mobile game
I want to believe nobody is desperate enough to consider that a real new game

castlevania has no future. Konami doesn't give a fuck about videogames anymore

Depends on how the Anniversary Collection sells, I guess?
Konami would be foolish to not try to jump on that Smash money, but I don't think they've made any real games in years.

user, this is Konami we're talking about. The same company that had fucking Guillermo del Toro for a Silent Hill game and then canned it for literally no reason

Bloodstained sequel, hopefully 2d.
Porn game is finished.
Konami sells the rights to the main series, Shanoa gets a sequel game made.

You should hope there isn't a new game because it might look like the new Contra.

Didn't that come out like 2 years ago in japan? I remember seeing gameplay of it, it looked like shit.

Hopefully death since neither Konami nor Iga himself are capable of making a good one. Give it a rest and make more room for something fresh already.

Probably not. Just more collections, that mobile game, and the Netflix series is all we'll get.

The only way the franchise will have a future is if the guys at Konami are replaced by competent people, but it'll probably die before that happens.

It is unironically even more Castlevania than Lords of Shadow.

No need for more games. The best game already exists, Castlevania: ________Aria of Sorrow

Literally one of the worst. Fucking weebshit

What was the name of that game with the brown girl with the feather headress looking hat and white shirt, it was 2D probably and Yea Forums used to cream over her. I feel like it was made by one of the old Konami guys.

>calling a Japanese made game "weebshit"
When will this meme fucking end?

I kinda want a Castlevania game where instead of Dracula the main villain is another classic monster, like Frankenstein's monster. A game where you play as one of the Belmonts fighting Dr. Frankenstein or a Wolf-Man in between Dracula's century resurrections could be really cool.

Indivisible?

Yeeeah dude, thanks

Pretty sure that's being done by the guys who made Skullgirls, not former Konami folks

I'd only seen it a couple times and heard a few things, I was kind of misinformed, but it sounded interesting.

Actually Konami did help with the devlopment of Skullgirls and published it for a little while.
