How the fuck did somebody decide to let this story out of their mind, never mind into the public eye for all to read? I know JRPGs are not exactly pushing the boundaries on inventive and deep storytelling, but FE:F has what I would consider probably one of the shittiest stories in a genre known for legendary turds. A story so fucking bad that having a mommy-tier elder sister wyvern-riding axe-wielder and conquests gameplay couldn't make me suffer through that shit. FUCK.

If it weren't for Garon being EEEEEVIL for the sake of EEEEEEVIL then Conquest would have literally no downsides.
The real choice isn't between one family or the other. The Hoshidans aren't even related to you. The choice is between sticking with your family even in support of a genocidal madman or leaving with strangers in order to stop a threat to the world at large.
Which is still fucking stupid because anyone with a brain would have gone for the kill as soon as it became obvious that Garon was a literal fucking monster. Corrin is just a passive dumbass who lets bad things happen so long as he can convince himself he's doing the right thing.
It's even worse in revelations when he keeps the entire plot a secret because I dunno writing down that there's another kingdom manipulating everything was too fucking hard I guess.

From Corrin's perspective he's just discovered the bombshell that he was stolen as a baby and while he loves his adopted siblings, his adopted father is obviously fucking evil and has just tried to have him killed multiple times. His entire life up to this point has been a lie and being thrust into a snap decision between going back to your supervillain dad or learning more about yourself is gonna fuck anyone up.

I only came to this thread to see if this was posted. I'm pleased.
