Call me when this shit is no longer always online and there's no time-gated content.
I played the bank for the first time today
Is nice
This. I missed out on all of that with the first one when I bought it all on sale and didn't buy this when I found out they were doing the same thing again. Fucking inexcusable.
You don't need to be online to play though. UNLOCKING shit on the other hand.
>start up new hitman game
>"okay let's see what this is"
>genuinely excited
>first thing I see is hundreds of bmwf interracial couples
>starts roleplaying as white incel mass shooter
it's all right I guess
>I missed so many elusive contracts/targets
You didn't miss much, user.
Everything since ET #5 has been rehashes from past ETs. We're on fucking #12
That sucsk it's not knew bgut thanks
The NPCs in the crowd are randomized, IIRC.
Prison assassination mission when?
I've played Hitman for about 2 days now and I'm still fucking around the fashion show
Are the others like that as well?
Not all of them, Colorado and Marrakesh are weak pretty weak. Colorado in particular.
Admittedly, they put a bit more effort in paris since it was their first level with this concept. But yes, every mission has a lot of stuff to discover, experiment with and challenges to complete.
>Also since I missed so many elusive contracts/targets, am I locked out of those rewards forever?
No, there are multiple Elusive Targets per map, so even if they don't throw out a second batch (which they did in 1), you've still got plenty of opportunities to take the location specific rewards.
Mumbai and Miami are the best levels in 2. Prove me wrong.
Most of them are pretty big with two different areas, like the fashion show and the aution being different, for example.
the only levels not being like that or being weak are Bangkok (mostly just a hotel, still very good though) and Colorado (just one large area, it's all private military really and you're spotted if you have no disguise from the start, so you need to get one, it's not weak but it can be a bit annoying)
I've only ever done Mumbai once because the Maelstrom thing was anoyying to me. Is it actually fun?
Sapienza > Paris/Hokkaido >> Marrakesh/Colorado > Bangkok
That's what I think, I'm sure some people will disagree though. It's generally agreed that Paris, Sapienza and Hokkaido are the best and the others are lacking. I think that's doing them a disservice, they objectively blow the vast majority of past Hitman missions out of the water, its just that the other three are just so fucking good, all contenders for the best Hitman missions of all time.
I actually found Colorado the best. But I don't recall if there was the objective of suit only silent assassin in it when the first game was out only. IIRC, it wasn't. But with the suit only in that level makes it very annoying.
I really liked it because one you get an outfit, you're more or less open to almost everywhere, depending on it. So you're literally able to plan things perfectly. The other levels didn't really have that imo, you were having to juggle disguises a lot
Am i the only one who thinks the Hitman 2 levels are too fucking big for their own good?
Santa Fortuna and Mumbai are such clusterfucks.
I got 20 mastery and SOSA on all maps before it but i gave up on doing that when i reached Santa Fortuna
Bangkok is probably my second least favorite Hitman Season 1 level, there's only like 1 viable SO route to one of the targets.
>Colorado is the best
Pic related is you
you win this time
>Did SASO on every map
>Did everything on Miami
>Go to do everything in Santa Fortuna
>Kill the woman a few times
>Look at all the other shit left to do
>Lose hope and give up
It will be Season 3's tutorial
thehardtimes.net
>3 course dinner challenge
I dont think there is a single human being ( despite MrFreeze ) who would do that shit stealth
I understand why people hate it but it reminded me of the first mission in Blood Money, you really only needed two disguises: the guard one for killing the son and the VIP guard for killing his dad.
The reason I liked Colorado so much is because there were only two disguses you needed
Mumbai was fun. Once I found out who the maelstrom was it was my favorite assassination because I made him suffer first. That doesn’t happen often and it left me feeling devilish.
yeah. With a 99% of being an interracial couple.
Killing the lawyer on my first run was so frustrating
I was having fun with the emetic poison or needle meme and when i finally managed to sufficiently distract the bodyguard to poison the lawyer or poison his water bottle that fat Ratatouille lawyer looking asshole just went for garbage cans instead
>y'all
disgusting
miami and the introduction were the only levels I liked desu. Really disappointed after Season 1. Maps have gotten bigger but a lot less interesting for sure. Plus they removed/changed some NPC abuse mechanics further reducing the fun and interest level of the game.
>mommy why aren't the randomized NPCs my preferred same race pairing?
You know that by randomizing the NPCs there will obviously be more "mixed race couples" right?
Is it the same guy each time?
What level is that? Colorado is the one with ther 4 targets I thought
I think so. Otherwise the assassination stories wouldn’t work.
They suffer from the same problem as Marrakesh, the targets are on opposite ends of the (large) map. Difference with Mumbai and Colombia is that there's three targets instead of two. It takes a fucking eternity to beat them, it's hard to bring myself to replay them because I know it's going to take ages. Impressive levels, but they overstay their welcome. Sapienza is big and has three targets too, but they're all in the same general area of the map.
My issues with Colorado
>flat as fuck
>ambiguous disguises
>vague trespassing zones
>could do with one less target
There have been so many occasions where I've stepped up to the farm house only to have a soldiers ten meters away from me that I've ran passed the entrance they're supposedly guarding. Doesn't help when the disguise I'm wearing is so similar to the guards in the first place. And the majority of the targets are undercooked; Sean Rose gets a lot of attention, the rest have to fight for scraps and only get one mission story each.
It's not even the all-hostile part that I dislike, I don't mind the variety.
Bangkok is the one with the annoying lawyer that throws up in trashcans
Also in Mumbai its always the same guy but they randomize his clothes
I find Marrakesh to be a lot more fun than Santa Fortuna and Bangkok cause at least its smaller and if you want to just focus on assassinating one of the targets there are cheese ways to kill either of them in the first few minutes.
Marrakesh is almost too easy on that regard really
I meant Santa Fortuna and Mumbai fuck
Also another thing that probably helped me dislike the new big maps is that i had just gotten the habit of starting my first run on Master difficulty and they are fucking impossible to do blind master on
Wow I had no idea. I'll definitely play it again, thanks.
I think the problem is that we should know what each outfit does. There's like five total. And all you're doing is stopping whenever you see guards, if you see yellow, back off.
I get why it's disliked but for mei t was perfect, a small area but open, a few different areas, the house, the shooting range, the open area, etc. It only could have done with a better indoors section.
Is Hokkaido actually that good or is the aesthetics of the map so kino that we overrate it?
I fucking love the aesthetics of that map so much
It's easily one of the best ones in my opinion though I do hate how everything was locked at first.
The fact that there's the "basic" hospital/care faciality then the upstairs then the downstairs.
It's an interesting attempt at more than just "here's your care facility with all the same rooms, bye"
It has best girl target so yes, it is kino.
Sapienza is my favorite from 2016. The base mission is good, and then they made 3 other missions that all focus on the town part, which is the kino part of the map. So good.
I like Miami and Whittleton Creek a lot in 2018. I wish the houses in Whittleton Creek weren't all copy-paste, but I suppose it's not terribly unrealistic. They had a missed opportunity to put in the BB gun from Blood Money in the treehouse, though.
wow you're so cool.
Paris is still one of my fav maps from this re-boot. Also you're not missing out much on the elusive target thing because they seem to come back around once in a while as 'legacy elusive targets' so I wouldn't even worry about it.
I really enjoyed the hotel.
Still waiting for an airport level.
Why exactly is Paris so loved?
I wasn't a fan of it since the auction seemed pretty boring to me which is roughly one half of the level gameplay
>H3 confirmed and will end ark
yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes fuck YES you did it IO you beat the fuckin odds how did they pull this shit
I think it's purely the atmosphere that brings people to loving it. It kind of felt as rich as a Contracts level, but instead of being gristly and dark, it was glamorous, busy and shallow. I hope against hope that Season 3 has something fucked up in it like the Meat King party. Hell, I'd settle for an airport though, like said, the new team could definitely knock that out of the park,
