I strongly disagree. Alola was one of the more unique regions setting and story wise and I hoped it would get more rep. Altar of the Moone/Sunne especially would've been a cool stage.

Reminder that anyone who says Incineroar was a worse choice than Golisopod or Buzzswole is incapable of critical thinking.

Golisopods entire gimmick is that it runs away mid battle and leaves. There is no way to make that a good mechanic in Smash. And Buzzswole has nothing interesting going on to actually base moves off, while Incineroar has unique theming via wrestling.

As someone who hates nuPokemon and Incineroar's design I'm really happy with what Sakurai and his team did with him. His play style is fairly unique and I love that his gimmick is that acts like a pro wrestler every time he makes a move. He oozes personality.

Fun to play, but awful as a representative of Pokemon in general.

Pokemon honestly doesn't need much more than Pokemon Trainer, Pikachu and Mewtwo. Everything besides those are extra, as the previously mentioned are some of the most iconic.

Most of my frustration with him comes from the past honestly. Ever since its concept, I was honestly just frustrated/just overall dislike over it, because I knew that if it were ever to came true, it'd be shoved, which it did. And that honestly pisses me off as a Firefag. I didn't pick Decidueye just for any reason nor because I'm a Grass fag, I picked it because any time I get bored with a Fire type or overall picking Fire types in a row, I consider the other picks. I never really considered Popplio since the beginning and the final reveal didn't exactly charm me, because a second playthrough pretty much confirmed to me what was going to happen with it in case I ever picked Popplio in first playthrough; it made the game too easy, which isn't exactly something I want to get for a game that already has bare minimum challenge. Finally getting a starter that was dead last in honest terms of usefulness given the pokemon that could be thrown at you only made me realize that

honestly, they don't really think things through in terms of making a grass type starter ghost type while making every little thing have Bite, which shows perhaps honest to god bias to Fire types in this era and it goes to show.

I'm the kind of guy who will hate something pre-release and then can't go on without it. I'm very big on not dropping a single character or stage. I love to see everything always return. Even this guy, even the plant.
