I hate the Rick&Morty/Big Bang Theory type of humor with all the poop/dick and "le sciency" pop jokes.
I couldn't get through first half hour and loaded a save from hours ago because i preferred to replay hours of base game rather than go throug this shit.
Dead Money is way better.
This DLC is so fucking cringe

Mothership Zeta was better, I really liked how the human survivors made a camp in the space ship with a bunch of earth items they looted from the storage of shit the aliens took from earth

eww i could never believe people on this board could have such bad taste
the DLC absolutely destroys with its narrative what you are referring too.
is that a tranny
Looks like Alina Lopez.
Agreed, The only dlc from this game I hate.
I always skip it, The SPECIAL boosts arent even worth it from how bad it is.
New Vegas thread? What are some essential mods for a hardcore suvivalist playthrough besides Jsawyer and the economy ones?
>The Sink Central Intelligence Unit was impressed by the amount of exploration the Courier had undertaken. Facilities believed lost, destroyed, or ones that had simply gotten up and walked to new locations
This DLC tried too hard to be wacky.
>essential mods
Did you know: The Tesla Cannon and its other variants were originally meant to fire only one shot before being reloaded? This explains why the weapon reloads after every shot.
Did you know: The Gauss Rifle in the original Fallout games could be fired more than once before you have to reload? The Gauss Rifle in the game has a firing delay speed before each shot, meaning that at one point in the game's development they had considered this idea.
Solution: Swap the stats for the Gauss Rifle and the Tesla Cannon so they both function as they were meant to.
It's actually very easy to do, but I forgot where I put my mod.
It was so unbearable I started skipping every line of dialog, and running past the enemies and spamming stimpaks, just so I could make it end.
dialog was the worst part. Probably one of the worst DLCs i've ever played in my entire life

Objectively
Dead Money > Honest Hearts > Power Gap > Lonesome Road > Old World Blues
same, even tho i dont like too much reading and that gay rpg shit, i read thru every conversation up until i started this garbage dlc (luckily i pirated the whole game with all thw dlcs). it seemed all the answers you could give were totally changed into something a pansy weakling would say. why cant you just say "fuck you robotfreaks, gimme' back my brains or else I fookin' shank the whole of you" (100 melee) and proceed to destroy them? it was the first time in this game i skipped trough all dialouge, rushed all quests so i could finally kill them (since the forcefield bullshit or what it was wasnt effective anymore)
god i hate nerdy cringe, only good thing about that dlc was the toaster
Actually
Dead Money > Lonesome Road = Old World Blues > power gap > Honest Hearts

>Hmmm, story in MY roleplaying game???? no thank you senior this DLC sucks BALLS!
Cope, FNV is as bad as FO3
It overstays its welcome and is pretty annoying at times but it's still the best of the dlcs. But none of them are really good in my opinion.
OWB>DM>LR>HH
except new vegas is an improvement on nearly everything in fallout 3? New vegas is also better than fallout 1 and 2 and you're just a nostalgiabrain if you think otherwise. If i want to experience the same fun of fallout 1 and 2 i'd just play a boardgame with my friends lol
All the other NV DLCs have decent stories without having to rely on reddit meme humor
Wow what shit taste ITT.
>LE Wacky dialogue is so cringeworthy! Lol reddit humor ruins this DLC
Get a life. Some of it's funny, some of it isn't. Some of that is intentional. You just don't like it because you're trying to "fit in" with other cool guys who are above some mindless juvenile drivel. True gentlemen and kings of comedy.
these new pornstars are all so ugkly

Going on 4channel is painful at this point. Hearing you peoples asinine """""""opinions"""""" is like a papercut or alchohol on a wound. Anyways:
Dead Money > OWB > LR > HH
Like this DLC.
I like it, I played Dead Money, Honest Hearts before it so a little comic relief was not bad.
That said, that expansion was so fucking merciless on Very Hard. Everyone was made of fucking titanium, the sci-fi weapons felt mandatory, same with Point Lookout mutants, Enclave soldiers in Power Armor got nothing on a bunch of Amerimutts.
Also the life harness was a pretty cool enemy.
Not only is the writing shit, the map is shit too, and all the enemies are outrageously bulletspongy. Roboscorpions are straight up bullshit if you don't spec into shotguns and have pulse slugs, and even then they just eat hundreds and hundreds of them during the dlc.
>1. Dead Money
All people say against it is the difficulty. But outside of that it just has the best main story and side characters.
--POWER GAP--
>2. Lonesome Road
Ulysses was an annoying character and didn't live up to any of the "hype" the DLCs were trying to build up to. He was just another dev mouthpiece trying to push for Yes-man ending. Nevertheless it had fun combat and the best rewards for beating it.
--POWER GAP--
>3. Old World Blues
Big Empty is boring to explore and the rewards are shit outside of the brain/spine/heart perks you get. Not to mention having to do the trials in the facilities multiple times is really a slog. Story only gets interesting once you confront Mobius and realize why the scientists are confined in Big MT, but by then you're already at the ending.
>4. Honest Hearts
Short, boring, easy. You get Graham's gun but that's it.
fpbp
too bad best girl belongs in owb faggot
I feel all of them are necessary to actually rank them.
Dead Money explores why the courier can't simply gamble all away or ignore the problems that surround him.
Honest Hearts explores why he can't simply turn his back on New vegas and leave elsewhere, there are going to be problems everywhere and only a few people know how to solve them.
Old World Blues is about the inner turmoil and motivation of the courier, you talk with your brain and try to get your spine back.
Lonesome Road explores deeper motivations into the courier choices, I think all DLC take place somewhere after the point after you get the platinum chip and all factions have their sights set on you.
Call me autistic but that is how I played it and I enjoyed it a lot. New Vegas really got me into actual role playing, the story is simply that good.
>it's bad because reddit likes it!
>Unarmed build
>Super heated saturnite fist
>Pyromaniac perk
And that's how you Old World Blues
>muh cringe
I hate you people so much
Honest Hearts is one of my least favorite gaming experiences of all time. It's absolutely atrocious.
Fallout 3 isn't a bad game.
The main quest is a bit ass, but other than that it's pretty enjoyable.
OWB>HH>DM>LR
This is fact
I feel like the reason they put comedy in OWB is because New Vegas is just a really depressing game. Dead Money, Honest Hearts and Lonesome Road are all completely serious, so I feel like they made OWB like that so the whole game isn't a complete downer.
>It is one thing to forgive a slap across my cheek, but an insult to the Lord requires...no, it demands correction
Hes shitposting for (You)'s
OWB is actually pretty dark when you take out the humor, a lab in the middle of nowhere full of crazy robots that will take out your brain or use you for other kinds of twisted experiments.
It was fun the first time, but tedious on repeat playthoughs.
I never liked Old World Blues either. Just wasn't funny or interesting to me.
>Being this much of a zoomer
Fallout has always been about the juxtaposition between humor and the bleak reality of a post apocalyptic America. It's not unique to New Vegas at all.
Fallout 4 is a better game
/thread
>Buy dlc to play with Raiders and have less branches.
I legitimately enjoyed it the most of the DLCs. The house was super comfy and all the dialogue and weird shit was entertaining. It was a nice change of the pace from the really series tone of everything else. Also OWB was released before anybody even heard of Rick and Morty
A thread like this yesterday made me reinstall new vegas. Want to start a new playthrough, time to find a shitload of mods.
Didn't mean to quote you user.
>27 yo

this. avellone and sawyer are smart guys and knew what they were doing.
>complaining about a DLC from ten years ago
rent free.
1. Honest Hearts
2. Dead Money
3. Lonesome Road
4. Old World Blues
They are all excellent, they all have something to say about government, they all lead into each other, and OWB is pretty fucking dark if you ignore the robot wisecracks. It's a wasteland within a wasteland, the final result of technology riding roughshod over human rights. Look at you now. The contents of your brain literally belongs to advertising companies. They know what you want before you do. They listen to you when you think you're alone.
The entire game is brilliant.
>being this new
You're posting cringe, boomer
>He doesn't like Cold War era camp sci-fi
I don't have a Benny shocked enough for taste this shit.
