It's got the three most important characters playable and two of the best stages in the series, but everything else is fucked because it's mostly jerking off Sakurai's own stuff. The assist selection is a complete joke. Smash 4 should've added stages from Amazing Mirror and Return to Dreamland. Another character isn't necessary, but would be neat.

For new ideas for Smash stages, I always thought one based on the final battle area for Triple Deluxe would have been a good one, preferably the True Arena version to prevent walk-offs. They put in the stage's theme as an alternate music for existing Kirby stages, but not the stage itself. Oh, well.

Its fine with the characters it have, of the post RtD generation Sussie and Taranza are great, but they are low priority and sadly doubt they will ever be used again outside of easter eggs. If i had to pick a new one that would be Marx or Goey, Rick could also work.

Not really. The creative decisions of Shinichi Shimomura and Shinya Kumazaki aren't properly given their dues. Adeleine and Magolor would round off the cast perfectly, and they would make excellent fighters on their own merits. Ripple Star and Another Dimension, from Kirby 64 and Return to Dream Land respectively, would also be really cool stages.

It's very questionable but I don't say that because I think we need another Kirby fighter, new Kirby era has gone almost unnoticed despite its prevalence. There are so many cool setpieces in the new games that would make for great stages. They could have made such cool assist trophies out of Prince Fluff, Susie, Taranza, Magolor, hell Bandana Dee even got stuck with just a sticker despite being one of the most requested characters. Even the music is pretty minimal, they finally gave Dedede his Masked final smash he always deserved but they didn't even bother to throw in the already remixed theme for Masked Dedede what the fuck that was the best part of that fight

The Kirby series is well represented, not to under are over in characters, stage, and bosses. Although, Kirby himself has a moveset the aged poorly. It's primarily designed on base Kirby and using copy abilities isn't optimal at all since he can only copy shitty B specials. Kirby has an amazing amount of content in smash but its really disappointing how much it actually represents taking the whole series into account. Barely any obscure Kirby or new Kirby, just the most recognizable stuff from the same few games. It's just irritating when Kirby still gets a lot of new content in Smash only for most of it to just be Super Star/Adventure filler, like who other than Sakurai is jumping out of their chair when they reveal that one bomb jobber is an item? Dedede varies depending on the game. Spinoffs like Kirby Fighters Deluxe still have him as a major/final boss and Battle Royale portrayed him more like a jerk.

I meant before the first game was released. Kirby may move farther away after taking more damage in adventure, but what I am referring to is Subspace Emissary type of gameplay. It was scrapped and replaced with a more traditional health system.
