it had the potential to be amazing but I don't like it, illustrations weren't as good as previous games, gameplay isn't that good, story is like power rangers, filler-characters recycling turned to be ridiculous including characters like Rainbow Mika, Lucia, Abigail, Birdie, Karin, Zeku, Kolin. Nash comeback is not well executed, he just came back to die again.

decent game but most characters have no room for experimentation or creativity, held back by some of the worst netcode I've seen since mvc3's.

After getting burned out on dota and fps, decided to try fighting games and SFV is pretty enjoyable for me, shit netcode tho.

Tried it for the EVO free week. Runs like trash for no reason, it's a 2D fighter without any form of environment interaction and it runs with drops whereas I can run T7 and DBFz without any problems on high.
Other than that I was greeted with a meager roster, for some reason Guile and Gief need to be bought even though they've been here since SF2 and the netcode is terrible, I had noticeable input lag even with 4 bars.
Didn't even feel like trying further, just uninstalled and moved on.

I love the roster but I can't stand the game anymore.
Unlike the Alpha series it has its moments for me, but its hardly what I call a good fighting game.
I do like how a lot of characters got redesigns.
I wish they had taken that further. Few fighting games have the balls to do that. GG did to a lesser extent and Mortal Kuckbat took it even further.
Whatever I do not think I will miss it.

normals and neutral are messed up, v-trigger is obnoxious and not fun, the throw system has always been dumb in 2d but they made it even dumber in this game forcing a ton of situations where you have to guess between throw or button constantly, timing meaties is a pain in the ass, overall game lacks options in general, bad netcode, awful fight money and DLC scheme

the way fight money is implemented is a joke, the should've just gated characters/costumes behind money and colors/etc. with unlocks.
also the netcode is rough at times and it doesn't help that 80% of the playerbase plays on WiFi, but other than that it's a really fun and solid game.
