I would go the turtle route. Maximum defenses and awareness. At nighttime locked up in my room no matter what. If somebody rings, slips a note under my door - don't give a shit, I'll check it out in the morning even if somebody's being assraped with a fork.
Also, I'd ignore all incentives to kill. Killing and getting away with it is too hard, way too much room for error. I'm no dumbass but I've got plenty of faults.
I wouldn't trust anyone, even if they were the sweetest, most innocent girl ever. Even if they became my best friend and gargled my cum on a daily basis, I still wouldn't trust them.
But the raping the girls part, idk. People absolutely hate rapists, so if you did that they'd probably cripple you but not kill you so they don't become blackened. I look like an incel and I sure as hell act like one, so I wouldn't be able to get one the old-fashioned way. Idk, idk, raping is pretty difficult.
If they get pregnant and you kill the baby, do you become blackened?
Oliver Rogers
I'm sterile so there's going to be a few more deaths if that happened
Daniel Flores
Being sterile is great, don't have to wash your hands before surgery.
Lucas Davis
Then you'd know that the "mastermind" is Junko and you can just call her an edgelord ugly bitch 24/7. She'll fall in love with you
Daniel Martinez
>wait until I catch someone alone >stab them in the neck and leave >no one can solve the crime because there's no retarded overcomplicated cover-up to unravel
Evan Parker
i'd form a sexual relationship with one or more of the girls and probably never leave
Leo Jenkins
>kill someone >plant a subtle clue implicating someone else >bury that clue under a mountain of evidence pointing to myself >in the trial, get them to tug away at all the fake evidence until they get to the one clue pointing to the fall guy >they assume he tried to frame me and vote for him gg ez
Jason Hughes
>Kiyo did exactly this to Angie and would have gotten away with it >But he had to kill Tenko too so as not to "waste the seesaw trick"
Aiden Wood
>>wait until I catch someone alone >>stab them in the neck and leave >>no one can solve the crime because there's no retarded overcomplicated cover-up to unravel It's not that easy, there's always hundreds of factors in play, subtle clues you wouldn't even know that could give you away.
Kayden Price
die probably
Daniel Brown
honestly? same
Jonathan Long
>Kirumi did exactly this and would have gotten away with it had she just turned around and left >but had to ROPEWAY LMOA and all the bullshit she did.
Something really longterm would be pretty impossible to investigate. Nagito had the right idea with gas grenades, just poison some sort of food that'd get eaten after a few days (just something small enough people won't share), or something from bathroom supplies, then just avoid using that thing (you're a smelly neet anyway) and wait. THAT SAID, in the interest of fairness/enjoyable case, bear would probably fuck you over.
Angel Lopez
Prolly kill everyone, not just 1 or 2 people and then waiting for a trial. And rape the girls as well. (Cant remember if there ia rule on how many you can kill)
Fuck, why don’t real murderers just do this? It’s really that simple
Gavin Young
The problem with this strategy is that apathy is punished in the game as well. If you ever fail to correctly identify the killer everyone dies. Statistically you'd have the best chance by being the first killer and from that point on its just a race to the bottom. Best move (if you don't want to kill anybody) is to become friendly/charismatic and foster bonds between the group, that way no one wants to kill anyone. it still wouldn't work but it would be the optimal strategy for no-killing success
I am almost sure that this rule was implemented in DG1 during the mecha case.
As an aside, what happens if two different killers kill two different people simultaneously?
Sebastian Myers
i'd probably die with the rest, identifying the killer isn't easy
Daniel Edwards
Maybe they do and you don't know cause they get away with it all the time?
Cameron Butler
>Marrying best girl and a piece of shit

Camden Fisher
So why does no one kill the bear(s?) again? Bokurano killed Koemushi, why the fuck don't these shitlords team up and just start raping this bear? Or anyone attached to this killing notion? Shit, why was that not a faction in either Devil Survivor?
Bentley Brooks
Monokuma is a remote-controlled machine, if you destroy him another just takes his place.
There are also rules against any kind of violence against Monokuma, a machine gun will just pop out of nowhere and blow you away, or you'll get impaled by a bunch of spears or something.
Carter Kelly
did you even play the game
Jacob Lopez
Stick to my ideals of justice and goodness and friendship.
Asher Russell
I would honestly just stay in my room and do nothing in the trials
Brandon Miller
Put everyone into coma then kill someone
They can't attend the trial so I'm the only one that can vote, I win.
This. Monokuma could have determined 2-5 a suicide depending on who's answering the questions. >She threw it >yes but he loaded it up in the first place, unbeknownst to her Or take 2-2 bullshit where they tried to bring subjectivity to the matter by establishing surrogate actions should factor. Even if Monokuma didnt agree, the fact that such a notion could be introduced makes it a matter of opinion if laws arent factoring in.
Jeremiah Gonzalez
If I were gonna kill someone, I'd try to be the first killer because it would be the scenario with more suspects and I wouldn't had watch any execution at that point to discourage me.
Then again, I don't think I would kill. Not only because I'm a pussy and after one execution I would get the idea off my head. There's also the thing that there's no garantee that the fucker bear would keep his word and free the person who gets away with murder. That's a major turning off for me.
Jason Gonzalez
Get somebody to die for me and thus receive permanent unbreakable plot armor.
Liam Watson
Then you'd just be the one who gets the most brutal and humiliating execution with the most people watching to serve as an example to them.
Parker Gomez
Monokuma stated in v3 the first murder takes precedence and the 2nd killer would not be put on trial, but also wouldn't be graduating either iirc. But that was if the 2nd murder was already found after the first. I suppose itd be case by case, but I dont think 1 trial would ever depict 2 blackened at once regardless of circumstance.
Jonathan Carter
She also had to get back to the gym and couldnt be seen outside to not blow her cover.
Ryder Reed
Wait, dude. Read the second line.
Thomas Gutierrez
Try to be a morale booster so nobody wants to kill me
Josiah King
>hoard as much non perishable food, water, and batteries/electric generator in my room as I can >set traps to door to prevent anyone from getting in even if they try entering by force >turtle till after chapter 3 >180 and become everyone's friend, just not in an over obvious super friendly way >ride out till chapter 6 trial
Levi Russell
There is no point in killing. Even if you succeed, and make it out you will have no choice but to kill yourself when it comes time to face the abhorrent thing you did. Unless you were a psychopath to begin with you're just not going to survive outside that way. Your best option is to cooperate, and even if you become a victim that's still a preferable outcome.
Anthony Wilson
are these games a meme or worth a play?
David Turner
But that would work only if you were in the games were they're stupid enough to always commit murder leaving alive the smartest character who is usually the morale booster.
Jacob Lee
The only way to go is to try and be a survivor. Going for a kill is a one-way-ticket to hell, since Monokuma will probably give the others just enough clues to figure it out or fuck you over in some way. I'd probably try to figure out who the friendliest-looking people are and try to make pals with like three or four of them, then always move in groups. ALWAYS. That might work, though I might end up slipping up in some way and dying regardless.
They play like Ace Attorney, not that hard except for once in a blue moon, anime like detective VN with little minigames to keep things from going dull.
Jace James
>Never leave room past curfew >Never go with someone to another location unless accompanied by at least two other people >Never go around the school without at least two other people with me >Never try to control the situation or other students >Never be useful during class trials unless absolutely forced to be
Owen Martinez
Judging by these threads there isn't a single danganronpa fan over 80 IQ
Joshua Sanchez
Imagine a class trial where everyone is aware that if they're too much useful they might become future targets.
Dont forget thats what Togami specifically set up case 2 to do, outing any smart people with reasonable deductive skills. Since youre either blackened or not, it's a great chance to see what everyone else is capable of when working towards a goal.
Wyatt Johnson
This is a big question, do I get a talent lab? Because youve just given me ample prep time and equipment if so
Lucas Hill
This, we do and as long as the cops don't have your dna registered you're good. I'm not memeing
Jayden Ortiz
In todays day and age good luck not having a witness or cameras around to watch you
Kevin Stewart
>drop poison gas through under the door Enjoy beign the first dead case dumbass
Logan Martinez
He was lucky it didn't backfire him though. He knew who the culprit was since the start, but it would had been hard for him trying to convince the others after tampering the crime scene himself.
Brandon Ramirez
Guys help my sister is obsessed with Danganronpa threads on Yea Forums how do I save her?
Nathaniel Smith
Well, as long as I make sure that I always have at least three people around and make it clear that any sort of "please meet me alone" means I am going to tell you to go fuck yourself because you're clearly up to some shit, then it might work out.
I might get fucked if I get a murder pinned on me, though.
Find the guy with the ahoge and buddy up to him, but only after a few murders. It may not be a sure thing but it'll improve my chances.
Ian Brown
Is that all the girls or all the characters? Either way I knew the same face was kind of obvious but I didn't realize it was this bad
Parker Morris
all DR2 girls are shit. most DR girls are shit though so it's not saying much
Julian Rivera
Good idea, but you'll have to survive those few murders first. What would you do about that?
Gabriel Sullivan
I'd stay in my room all day until monokuma forces me out then die
Gabriel Williams
Pretty sure it's just the girls (maybe not all of them). They've down a power-ranger transformation to form the perfect cutie.
Brody Adams
It's easier than you think. I got mugged in the middle of London, and there were no cameras showing anything despite being by a major roundabout less than a mile away from Elephant and Castle.
I ask this every thread, but >what do you like abiut DR, what did it do well? >what were things it did too much or things you didnt like >what were things you didnt see you would have liked to or things they didnt do enough of? Im making a game like this and want to learn from my predicessors.
Levi Thomas
Mugged with what?
Jace Martinez
I dunno The mini games got overbearing in 2
Asher Murphy
Shitty little fishing/kitchen knife. About five inches, bright plastic grip. But he had it up against my stomach before I knew what was going on, so I couldn't really do anything. Joke was on him, I actually didn't have anything on me but a debit card and some shopping as I didn't take my wallet or phone out because I didn't want to get mugged. It was quite awkward for the most part.
Juan Rivera
That's survivorship bias for you, baby.
Caleb Baker
The thing I like the most about DR is that it isn't afraid to get nuts. Shit like Nagito's Wild Ride or the ending of V3 went balls to the wall with the insanity and were very enjoyable to me because of that. The main negative point in DR, in my opinion, are the minigames. Like, they're largely okay, but those that suck (fucking "Improved" Hangman's Gambit) really drag the game down when they happen. What I would've liked to see is for the game to really commit to despair - for instance, the executions had serious potential to break people beyond the Blackened, but mostly they don't really go for that. In general, people are keeping it together way too much in DR. I want more people going completely insane.
>everybody dies and there’s no show Did Junko think this through?
Lincoln Kelly
So you appreciate a wild ride? I assume for brevity sake you didn't delve into the qualifications because it should go without saying that you want a solid foundation for that wild ride- to cite Zero Time Dilemma as a shitshow for being a wild ride without the actual strength of good writing, good selections of plot elements, or lack of exposition, I can say a wild ride IS not too difficult as long as the base story itself ia atill strong. Possibly why there was so many mixed feelings about v3's ending. What do you (thread as a collective) think? The games themselves, or the frequency? Any in particular, or do the minigames as a whole feel too distracting from the current scene?
I suppose the frequency, but I understand how they are necessary to break up the plot segments
Levi Cooper
Car one is good though.
James Perez
I'd be a complete asshole and contribute nothing constructive to cases, surely I will survive till the end.
Charles Foster
Actually, I enjoyed Zero Time Dilemma. I recognize that it's a shitshow of stupidity, but I still had a great time watching the train wreck happening before my eyes.
There are some good minigames, and some bad ones Kino tier: Debate Scrum, Closing Argument Great tier: Nonstop Debate, Mass Panic Debate, Rebuttal Showdown Good tier: PTA/BTB/AA, Mind Mine, Psyche Taxi Okay tier: Logic Dive, Hangman's Gambit 3.0 Bad tier: Hangman's Gambit Garbage tier: (Improved)Hangman's Gambit This is merely my opinion, some people like other minigames more than some
>rape some girl(s) >dont try to hide the crime >everyone is pissed at you >monokuma can't do shit >everyone decides to work together to murder you simultaneously >monokuma gets loopholed into oblivion by an ambiguous 10 blackened murder >everyone escapes and you're a unsung martyr who got some poon tang
I wouldn't even consider nonstop debate a minigame, it's such a core element to DR's play that I wouldn't want DR without it.
Dominic Murphy
I know that, but wanted to put it in my tier list anyway to compare it to the minigames
Jordan Reed
Be as irrelevant to the story as possible but at the same time have some sort of quick or catchphrase so i don't instantly job on the first murder, for being too uninteresting. NO character development until the first few cases. Try to identify the protagonist of the game as soon as possible and stay the fuck away from him, for the first few cases. Being close to the proganist is a death sentence. Finally halfway through the murders, try to get close to the protagonist, but not too close (at the risk of dying for character development) then just crawl my way to survival until the protagonist uncovers the Mastermind.
Easton Howard
>implying one of them wouldn't kill someone and make it look like a rape to pin it on you instead
Christian Robinson
fair enough. Good list user
Christopher Garcia
Why would I, the unabashed and unapologetic serial rapist, randomly murder someone? Its the ultimate motive defense
Angel Baker
I wonder how good Debate Scrum would've been if it didn't have that banging as fuck music.
Alright, here's a better question. If you were the murderer what'd be your execution?
Asher Wright
It could've been an accident. Maybe you got a little too into the rape and pushed your fetishes further and accidentally choked someone to death and then planted fake evidence to pin it on me so you could use that exact defense.
Gotta think holistically user, everything together makes it good.
Landon Adams
Doesn't matter. I thought Celestia's would be some gambling related thing but instead she was hit by a fucking truck.
Dominic Parker
>every user here
You get entombed in a replica of your room and it floods with the equivalence of the lifetime of cum you wasted from your daily fap sessions. Finally the room replica gets hurried in an unmarked grave.
Gabriel Williams
Why is Debate Scrum good? It's got great music and visuals, but the gameplay is just looking through a list, there's no logic or puzzle solving or anything involved.
Jonathan Martin
As a serial rapist i am very experienced and dont make rookie mistakes like manslaughter
Also does Monokuma allow dna evidence just compare the seed bro
Grayson Martin
I would kill everyone before he makes the rule of not trying to kill multiple people at once. Of course she would probably step in and dick me over anyways. If I could become an ultimate despair I would so there's that.
Hunter Ross
It's just very fun having the two sides argue and busting their argument one after the other And it has bombastic presentation on top of that
Oh, I've actually thought of this before. I'm a fat bastard that likes food, so my idea of a despair-inducing execution is having me crucified in the center of a room, surrounded by delicious food that is regularly replaced so it's always fresh. Not crucified in the classic way with nails or something like that, but with electronic restraints. I'd also be supplied with water so I don't die of thirst but rather of hunger.
But here's the twist. After a while (let's say three or four days, that should be enough to drive me insane), the restraints "fail" and I end up free. So of course, I start eating from the food nearby because I'm hungry. Surprise, surprise: The food was tainted with a slow-acting poison that kills me with excruciating pain. Bonus points for causing the medically inclined person in the group to also fall into despair after being unable to save me.
Theres nothing wrong with being entertained by a story even if simple or flawed. It tells me you have a tolerance for its flaws and value its emotions and flow more. I mean real talk, every ZE and every DR game was a ride in of itself. Many people play these games juat for the ride. Hell, its one reason I always come back to them. I personally found the more arbitrary minigames like Hangman's to be a bit too loose and open to be fun. At its core design, these minigames prompt the player to answer questions to have the protag solve the narrative's puzzle. That said I think a game should have a clear understanding of what your objective is, and something as arbitrary as a crossword or hangman's blank word seems too open to linguistic familiarity that those who speak the same language but have a different vocabulary would really struggle. I never heard of a Ropeway before, but I have heard of ziplines. Why the fuck does it not take a Z? Zipline is a technically correct answer, but of course it is only looking for 1 specific input. That I don't like. Honestly, I'm trying to push for minigames to have gameplay that feels more... relevant mechanics to the trial and mysteries. One prop I'll give Ace Attorney is at least the shoehorned gimmick mechanics feel like I'm interacting with the world and the case. Nonstop, cross swords, scurm, the 3-way debates, and closing are games Id give props to for doing this. Mind Mine, any Hangman's, or Brain Drive are examples I'm trying to avoid.
Its hardly even that. You just find matching words.
Eli Clark
>fix'd Nah, she's hopeless.
Mason Lopez
I'd actively try and make it look like I was the murderer for the first 3 trials and when they get used to it, I murder someone and escape no problem.
Jack Brooks
>implying a bunch of teenagers would know the difference
Isaiah Reyes
I'd know that if I were to kill someone, Monokuma and/or whatever other Mono-sidekicks there may be will leave enough clues for the others to figure out I did it (Monopad, Monosuke suddenly becoming a super hacker out of nowhere etc). I'd try to go with the Hagakure/Souda/Himiko thing of being too pathetic to kill, and just sit back and wait until ahoge-kun decides to man up and take down the mastermind.
Wheres my super high school forensics scientist to determine the samples match? Nobody can fucking prove it.
Jack Jones
You'd go a week between rapes?
Dominic Green
It would be better. Hell, give me an origional design that DOESNT look better. Teruteru would be much more interesting and compelling if he were an attractive sexual deviant instead juat a meme horny boy.
Hudson Diaz
Act as retarded as possible Go out of my way to make all discussion to a tangent be as one dimensional as possible
No but I assume the real murderer would need prep time
Joshua Ramirez
Kill someone in a relatively simple way like stabbing, and leave all kinds of fake evidence behind. A confusing last message, random smashed items lying around, misplaced items in other rooms, you name it. Some items pointing to me as the culprit, some items pointing to others, whatever. The detective will be too busy trying to figure out the significance of all this shit that they probably won't realise how simple it actually was, and will be less likely to pin the blame on me.
Ryan Jenkins
You can't marry the dead, user!
Blake Garcia
>pump poison gas into your room nothing personal kid
James Sullivan
>that image as if your taste wasn't already shit with that alone you had to go and type that out and confirm it
Austin Williams
what about ai waifus embedded directly into your brain?
Austin Thomas
I don't like Himiko, just used the first smug pic I saw
I knew you'd be back. I never even brought up that someones going to have to design this gas machine. That greatly reduces the chances of this happening, especially since whoever is the rare person mechanically inclined to construct this system could very well out themselves for it
Hunter Russell
>opens window nice try punk
Alexander Clark
You mean like the ones boarded up in 1? What if you have an interior room?
Landon Green
>opens door
Easton Bennett
But what if I had an alibi, aka raping another girl somewhere else when the murder happened?
Levi Bell
The origional post implied the door is booby trapped. You'll have to disarm it first.
>banging as fuck music okay I know everyone sucks this song's dick but it's literally the most generic rave track in the game
Jack Cruz
I'd be like yakuza boy at the beginning. I wouldn't make friends with anyone, tell everyone to stay away from me, and lock myself away as much as possible. Only coming out for trials. I'd be the most boring character ever. Might help out at the end when shit hits the fan and the killings stop, but until then leave me alone.
I want to agree. It only really has the energy, but I cannot think of anything EXCEPTIONAL about it barring that. Its good, well constructed, but what else sets it apart from the rest of the stellar soundtrack?
Brody Sanchez
>he was mastermind Ive heard this around. Where did it originate from?
Ryder Green
it's just one of those things that isn't true, but can make sense the more you think about it. hagakure is a true idiot, but you can totally see how someone can play the fool and manipulate the situation, so it would have made a nice twist.
Bentley Cooper
>mastermind playing the fool Is that really that big a trope? I dont into most any form of literature
Nathan Sanchez
I like Rebuttal Showdowns just for the music and the one-liners characters say when initiating one (though I wish more of them were puns based on their talents like Mahiru's).
Liam Johnson
either >you accidentally choke on something you're eating, or some sort of accident befalls you, and no one is able to help you until its too late because of your barricades/traps. everyone thinks you were murdered and gets themselves killed overthinking things
or >someone tries to coax you out of your room and accidentally sets off a trap that kills them. ensuing trial either has you incorrectly picked as the blackened and you die, or Monokuma rules that you set the trap and are therefore responsible because lulz
Thomas Cruz
In a real life scenario people will kill someone they either hate the most if they're petty, or someone who will put them at an actual advantage if they're smart. Where would that leave you?
Michael Hill
>so i don't instantly job on the first murder, for being too uninteresting. I mean other than Leon, I wouldn't really consider any of the Chapter 1 victims/culprits to be especially uninteresting.
Elijah Reyes
Junko was originally gonna shove a roulette wheel up her ass and shred her like a blender but they blew the budget on the motorcycle death cage.
Robert Miller
Still one of my favourite executions honestly >get an almost respectful execution, based on the gothic european culture that she fetishizes so much >throw a fucking firetruck onto it, killing her instantly the irony fills me with despair
I'd be in V3 and actually use the First Blood Perk to escape
Luke James
it happens enough to exist, but not enough to be common. so i think it could have been an actual decent twist that wouldn't have been expected by most people.
Austin White
But when you actually got into the game you'd have a completely different personality and memory, and would likely not be the kind of person who'd decide to do that.
Lucas Edwards
>be in the room where Monokuma announces the first blood perk >immediately snap the neck of the person next to you while everyone is watching boutta head out
Asher Gonzalez
>execution is a combination of all the previous ones like Junko's, only with him effortlessly predicting and dodging everything until being instantly killed by the one final thing that he wasn't able to predict
Jeremiah Bennett
I think it's the context of the debate and the whole layout of the room getting changed that makes the track more hype.
Ethan Roberts
I doubt you're strong enough to snap somebody's neck with your bare hands.
would he just trip on his own feet and hit his head, or would he just not look where he's going and slip on a banana peel?
John James
Literally do nothing. acting like a run of the mill person who never gets into shit gets you alive 10/10 since you become such a big target literally no one will come for you because it's so easy.
William Cooper
Well my origional idea for a trap was heating the doorknob to burn the person's hand without killing them. I dont want to kill them and wind up being blackened myself, thats suicide.
Luke Turner
>Monomi this raises several questions
Ryan Rodriguez
Sex requires consent. Also, how is Hiyoko thirsty?
Parker Bell
It's been a long time since, so I don't remember all the rules.. but what prevents you from going on a hatchet rampage until you're the last man standing?
Argument Armament is a step up from PTA/BTB I would also say BTB felt much better to play through than PTA (I don't know why exactly, beats matched the rhythm better I guess) but PTA wins out for the custom finishers But they all also have the problem of having at least one Trial per game where it feels like someone flies off the handle just to make an excuse to have one, when there's no real reason to include it in every Trial.
Thomas Anderson
Yeah, you're right, I'd put AA in great tier now that I think about it.
Leo Ortiz
Aside from her teasing Mahiru in the shower she has more than few flirty lines with Hajime, especially in the Island Mode dates. She's the only girl who consents to the "Let's take it all off" option on the beach, although it doesn't give points with her.
Would trying to kill everyone during a trial work? There isn't a rule against it, plus it'd be hard to actually do the trial with all the chaos going on. Would it be possible to try and sneak a weapon into the trial easily?
Honestly debate scrum is just nice because you actually get two different sides debating over an issue instead of just >you carrying the whole trial and explaining everything to everyone, great music too. Same goes to psyche taxi.
>everyone will starve to death unless someone dies >instead of just murdering someone and having a class trial he fights someone to the death with their consent Pretty justified if I say so myself
Daniel Sanchez
Turtling doesnt work in the killing game though. If someone else gets murdered you're still in the trial and have a chance of dying if you dont figure out who the killer is.
The best way is to kill everyone before the trail starts.
There's never a rule on the amount of deaths, all you need need is an accomplice.
since 2 people can survive the trail it's easy
Case only gets triggered if 3 or more people see the dead body. so if 2 people team up to kill everyone one at a time there won't even be a trail.
God Kirumi is so bland and uninteresting Worst character in v3 with Tsumugi
Carter Sanders
Samefagging here but I forgot to mention that celeste literally killed two people so that she could have a castle
Easton Scott
But there *IS* a rule that you can't murder more than 2 people. Did you guys even play the game?
Landon Powell
He's literally shown alive in the shit anime sequel. Everyone survived except Chiaki who died before it all happened.
Hudson King
based celeste
Justin Brown
Nope. Something like this, overloaded with plates until my body buckles under the weight and it crushes me. A barbell falling on my neck/chest while benching also works.
>tfw we'll never see a case with two different killers based on that one rule from V3, where killer 1 does his thing and gets executed, but killer 2 stays in the game after doing some truly fucked up shit and garnering immediate hate from everyone
Only in DR1. Regardless, if Monokuma noticed some people going on a murder spree (and he would), he'd interfere since it'd probably go against his plan for the killing game.
Luke Allen
>Killing and getting away with it is too hard Exactly, the game's rigged for the killer to lose. Out of the entire series only Nagito and Korekiyo come close to perfect crimes, and kiyo threw it away for memes.
Me, during mornings I'd always travel in a group of 3 so backstabbing can't occur, there's nothing to gain from two people killing one person so I doubt it'd happen. At night I barricade myself in my room just as you said. Don't want to be too smart so killers want to get rid of me, but at the same time can't be a fucking idiot to make myself an easy target.
>No one can solve >Everyone but you has verifiable alibis I wonder what your execution is gonna look like
>what do you like about DR, what did it do well? Murder mysteries are fun, the characters (most of them) are likeable, I like the presentation, the UI the way trials work, the music is fucking awesome >what were things it did too much or things you didnt like 2 has the most annoying minigames, free time feels slightly tacked on, and the rewards and stuff you get are useless >what were things you didnt see you would have liked to or things they didnt do enough of? Things I don't like are how fast people get over a murder. Someone dies and they spring back to normal the next day
>Monokuma forces you onto a squat rack wearing only sandals on your feet
Daniel Phillips
Get killed by some asshole because I'm too trusting.
Jack Gray
>Someone dies and they spring back to normal the next day This, i'd expect them to at least do something outside trials to remember the dead still exist, only saihara and kuzuryuu actually seem to remember people die
Dominic Barnes

Christian Johnson

Robert Campbell
Worst characters are by far Maki and Kokichi, Tsumugi and Kirumi are downright inoffensive compared to that shit.
David Clark
>theres 220kg locked on the bar >you've never lifted before devious
Ryder Phillips
DR1 and DR2 have that rule. Only V3 doesn't have it
Mason Brooks
You missed the point, note how happy she is initially, she's getting the exact kind of execution she would want since she loves gothic shit. Then monokuma fucks with her one last time by slamming a truck into her.
Isaiah Morales
That is some genuinely horrific taste. Study worthy.
I remember many first chapter mornings that their reeling over the day before. Usually its Monokuma giving them some new item or unlocking a new area that has to break the tension.
Lucas Stewart
They'd rebrand Chuck's into Sneed's Feed and Seed with me inside
Joshua Harris
Kirumi was planned, but as a blackened, she knew what the fuck to do. There's no other killer in my opinion, that ran the game so well that the characters didn't realize they hadn't properly assessed the crime scene until 2/3 of the trial was over.
Honestly i feel monokuma shoving his presence into them actually breaks the despair, imagine if he waited an entire day before giving them the motives and just let the feeling of despair really sink into them
Henry Phillips

Henry Cruz
That's how serial killers kill so many
if you have a reason to kill someone, the cops will investigate you first, but if you kill someone you don't even know, randomly, and without witnesses, nobody will catch you

What are the top 3 chapters of the series?
Zachary Perez
Anyone who thinks >I should kill is already dead. They have had 53 seasons of DR. This should tell you the game is rigged, if the first two already didn't. Monokuma will fuck you over if the chance comes to keep the game going.
What'd I would do is lay low for the first chapter until someone dies. Then move in groups of at least three, get to learn everybody's habits and personalities. If anything like motives shakes them or they act out of the ordinary, I'd stay the hell away. Don't make yourself out too smart, but don't be too stupid that you look like easy pickings. Like prison mentality, you need to express toughness to some degree.
Honestly, if Kyoko didn't run around alone all the time or Byakuya wasn't so hilariously dickish, they would be the characters who played the killing game in the most efficient way.
Kokichi has no solid character foundation, everything written about him can instantly be swept away with a simple :^). He's a 1 dimensional piece of shit whose only action is to stir shit for no reason beyond being an asshole. Maki is the same, just walks on screen, mutters her dipshit catchphrase and fucks off again until we need to be reminded she's totally a super dangerous edgehog assassin.
Maki trying to get you killed in 3-5 and then the story sweeping this entirely under the rug with romance dribble and not even a single apology, was painfully offensive. Worst girl
Kokichi isn't the worst but he's certainly the most inconsistently written. Unlike Nagito, Kokichi does not have a solid base to explain his behavior in a coherent fashion.
Sebastian Russell
2-5 2-1 1-4
Hunter Gonzalez
First morning sure, but my day 2 we're back to slice of life fun time bounce castle.
>That time in v3 where monokuma goes on vacation and is replaced by some scuffed monokuma that doesn't say shit Whether they meant it or not, that segment was pretty unsettling.
Jack Collins
Aoi is just very airheaded is all
Luke Torres
The exact same thing happened with Aoi though but you give her a pass because she's cute and waifu material right? Have sex.
Ethan Fisher
Monodam theatre was great. The part where Monokuma was on vacation was the only time I genuinely enjoyed the Monokubs.
Jaxon Wright
Was always curious about what if somebody got drowned in the ocean and the body never recovered. Would there ever be a trial? What if somebody actually died accidentally?
Daniel Gutierrez
Yeah, monokuma is hilarious but he doesn't need to ramble all the time. just let him fuck off for a day or so and have that day have everyone actually have a depressing day. Maybe even let them do something like make a shrine for the deceased or hold a improptu funeral.
Liam Rivera
Asahina straight up apologized after the trial. It's not swept under the rug at all. Not to mention the only reason any of this happened is because Maki wanted to kill someone. Aoi acted on reflex to someone having been killed.
Thomas Myers
>don't be too stupid that you look like easy pickings I dunno man, the idiot characters don't tend to get killed. Aoi, Hagakure, Souda, Akane and Himiko got out alright, Gonta probably would have too if not for Killing Game Buster shenanigans
Jason Green
this actually, being a huge target actually works for survival because it seems that being enough of an idiot makes it seem too easy.
Justin Perry
Why's that?
Hudson Long
Made me laugh a ton of times. The bald monokuma was a great joke to. I hope my friend plays these, i just gifted them to him on the steam sale
Jonathan Sanchez
Is there a mode in these games to just play them as a straight visual novel? All the minigames in the trials seem annoying.
James Clark
Would a corpse count for littering?
Nicholas Kelly
Would work, but then she would just fuck kill you
Jordan Cooper
You should've used Byakuya instead of Asahina, she did apologize, meanwhile no one questions Byakuya for toying with a corpse
Xavier Morales
No, but you can play it on braindead easy or just look up a spoiler free guide
Daniel Gray
If the rules were everybody else had to die nobody would do it. there arent very many highschool students on the planet that would be willing to murder, lie, and result in the death of even more people just to save themselves.
also you gotta realize 99% of people would crack as the blackened in a class trial. its rare for someone to be able to lie well about something serious
Carson Miller
I hope I don't have to explain 2-5. 2-1 is mainly because it's the best opening of the games. Decently difficult trial that doesn't rely on asspulls or some glaring oversight that ruins the trial. Nagito as always, carries it by the reveal, and the fact that he survives sets the tone of the game in a different way from the first game.
1-4 was one of the emotionally impactful moments in DR without being obnoxious about it in many ways that I felt V3 was. You can figure out Sakura committed suicide (or had some role in her death) from just finding her body, but the real mystery is finding out that Asahina knew and got so outraged that she wanted to take everyone down with her. It's a sharp but sensible turn for a previously inoffensive (and useless) character. The others all have some role (even Hagakure) and 1-4 thematically is a complete turnaround of 1-2 for Togami. The conclusion of the trial also marks the end of the killing game. I found no faults with it and was DR1's high point.
Aaron Campbell
How was V3 obnoxious about its emotional moments, out of curiosity?
Noah Perez
>also you gotta realize 99% of people would crack as the blackened in a class trial. its rare for someone to be able to lie well about something serious That happens in the games though, most people start to break down the very instant they're accused.
William Miller
Not even the same guy but >2-5 I don't think this needs any explaining, Hopeman's Wild Ride taking you on like 5 different twists that all make perfect sense in the end. Even the buildup is great, with the bombs and everything. Not even Ace Attorney cases can reach this level of kino. >2-1 The best opening case in the series, out of the 15 characters, almost everybody is relevant. Only Saionji, Akane and Sonia have no role in this case. Nagito's involvement/reveal makes things interesting, and Teruteru's breakdown is great >1-4 While it becomes kind of an established trope, this is the first case where somebody uses the rules against Monokuma, which was an interesting twist. The fact that the whole "murder" was so simple but it got covered up by 3 different people was memorable. Asahina going nuclear was a good twist, and the sucker punch of Alter Ego's execution made it so nobody had to feel robbed at the end.
Logan Kelly
Jap Monokuma's seyuu change kinda made me like him less in V3, but him simply showing up to shoo away the JUSTed Monokuma made me lose my shit hard.
John Reyes
>no one questions Byakuya for toying with a corpse ... Toying with a corpse is one of the least offensive actions in DR. Even Kyoko was more reprehensible for putting Makoto in mortal peril twice. Plus Togami gets BTFO for it in chapter , because Asahina messed with the crime scene like he did and outsmarted him. It's not like the game lets him get away with it, he has a breakdown in 1-4
Christopher Clark
How inoffensive you find it is irrelevant. In chapter 2, post trial it is never brought up by anyone how disgusting it is, that he messed around with a dead body.
Josiah Davis
V3 lays it on pretty thick IMO. For example, Kaede's death is made so grandiose in the game (despite you knowing she's just a plot device for Shuichi's progression as the franchise has done this exact thing before) by Shuichi despite him only knowing her for a short time. Naegi went through something similar, but Shuichi was obsessed by comparison.
Mason Jones
Sure, but danganronpa takes 3 hours to get there, when in reality the blackened would appear guilty most likely before the trial even started
Camden Martin
I always found it funny how the "Queen of Liars" who's the "Ultimate Gambler" has perhaps the worst poker face of any culprit in the entire series.
>you find it It's not "you find it" it just is. Toying with a corpse is not nearly as bad as actually plotting or executing a murder which nearly all of the cast is guilty of in some way. Togami's an asshole, everyone knew this and he was even called out for it in the trial.
Jason Fisher
Big Guy dies in Chapter 4 Cartoony guy dies before Trial 3 Chapter 3 is double murder
Bentley Miller
>this is the first case where somebody uses the rules against Monokuma
it's been like 5 years since I played DR1, how did they use the rules against him?
Byakuya was supposed to be considered a dick though.
Michael Nguyen
DR or overall? cause if DR fuck having the pattern repeating again, just move it around for fucks sake. if deadly game in general, stop having the protagonist be the single most plan bread boring character in the game.
Benjamin Howard
Celestia is the one character who you can immediately spot is the blackened BEFORE YOU FIND THE BODIES. That's how bad of a liar this chick was. I actually think Mondo and Sayaka were better at hiding and lying than she was.
Lincoln Anderson
What? Shuichi was obsessed because he was sad when a person he knew was killed trying to do the right thing?
what a retarded take
Alexander Foster
>kill myself >leave enough evidence to condemn the person whom I hate the most >tfw we both die >ftw I die painlessly and they suffer trying to clear their name
forced double murder in the middle they're always bad
Hunter Jackson
This. Had Kiyo not gone for the seesaw memes and lived, I'd have put 3-3 in here as well. It was certainly the best of the double murder cases regardless.
Kayden Parker
Sakura was being blackmailed by Monokuma, she had to kill someone to keep the killing game going. She killed herself, technically fulfilling his request, but before that, she broke another rule (forcing the lock) but she couldn't be punished for it anymore because she was already dead. It's not as explicit as what Kyoko does in case 5, but it's the first real "blow" you strike against Monokuma.
Blake Price
>tfw an user spoiled V3 ending for me in a totally unrelated DR thread back in 2017 >tfw finished V3 last night and still enjoyed it
I can't remember the dialogue in trial but I'm sure when they found out they gave him shit during it. After the trial I would think the characters wouldn't want to talk about it cause of how exhausting it was plus he's an asshole they already don't like talking to him and he avoids them
Nathan Baker
despair
Daniel Parker
Get off this trend retard. It's pretty great tho
Kayden Bennett
I watched a friend play through 1 and 2 and the only part I got really bored by was the strawberry/grape house shit in 2.
Eli Miller
Fair enough, good point.
Aaron Carter
Lies. Lots and lots of lies.
Matthew Williams
>Shy dude makes *one* friend during this entire nightmare >Over the course of a few days they spent the entire time together, feelings are probably roaring at this point >Has to watch her get killed and later learn further she didn't even kill anyone Shuichi is the most realistic one by far
Thomas King
I had a fucking flashback mixed with a dejavu of reading a Tsumugi spoiler the moment I went through the reveal in the game, shit was surreal.
William White
it's pretty gud, get out of the thread before you get spoiled
Angel Brooks
This was me. Chapter 4 was a slogfest. The trial was also really boring. Not outwardly bad like chapter 3, but just tedious and extensive. Fucking hours spent on figuring out the elevator's movement pattern was the key when the players would know immediately.
Elijah Mitchell
alright. bye! i'll be back in another thread
Adrian Wilson
Can we have a death game without some shitty animal mascot?
Jayden Taylor
id fuck the bear
Aaron Cook
>realistic Thats not Leon
Aaron Davis
Not to mention that her execution was one of the most brutal in the series. If only the fucking Monokubs didn't ruin it at the end
Anthony Harris
>hating on Basedokuma Cringe. He's fucking hilarious and sets the tone perfectly. If you're talking about sidekicks like Monomi (which I liked too) and the Monokubs which were shit, I agree.
Wyatt Ramirez
I feel like spoilers in these games don't matter that much, since so much that happens isn't important to the ultimate truth behind each game.
Blake Smith
>Shuichi is the most realistic one by far No not really. What you said could apply to the other protagonists. Shuichi's just really attached to Kaede because he's the most fragile. It doesn't make him anymore realistic than the others. Unless the word you're looking for is "relatable", and that depends on who's asking.
Daniel Miller
"Leon did nothing wrong" fags are so dumb
Daniel Bell
What's fucked up people were spamming spoilers in unrelated DR threads when the game came out. It soften the blow when the big revival happened but I still enjoyed the wild ride.
Evan Stewart
V3 jumped the shark with Gonta, he literally didn’t kill anyone it was his avatar
Monokuma cheated
Wyatt Parker
I'm happy that there is some actual discussion in this thread today! :)
Elijah Peterson
I'll act retarded and goofy and end up surviving from sheer luck because I'm the comic relief character.
Relatable might be a better word. I remember back in high school, a girl that rejected me so brutally it messed up my psyche for about two years.
Leo Butler
What if i was a girl who raped all the guys
Kayden Cruz
monokuma is okay but when you look at Virtues Last Reward you get an example of a cringefest character that gets its dialogue skipped everytime.
Jason Parker
Fuck no it's not. It was average. Teruteru got dumped in fucking lava for example.
Parker Gutierrez
I think Kirumi's was worse, but hers is pretty morbid yeah. Glad they got back on track with that though, 2's were eh. Peko's was good and Gundham's was decent, but Teru's was too clowny to take seriously, Mikan's is just outright shit, and Chiaki's is again to unrealistic to stay grounded.
Anthony Flores
Excuse me, were we not talking about the most realistic dangan? How is the most arrogent, self centered, quick tempered, horny little adolescent of them all not the most realistic? Not defending him at all, unrelated
Aaron Wood
After Gonta's death there weren't any characters left I actually cared about. I was on board for Kokichi's wild ride in Chapter 5 then just pushed through Chapter 6 for the sake of it.
Lucas Torres
It was a bit over the top. Also not nearly as terrible a death as that extremely jerky hanging
Adam Peterson
I look at Kazuichi, Sonia and Akane, and I refuse to believe DR2 has the best cast.
Mason Ross
Oh, I thought you were about to say he was actually innocent or something, those dudes are fucking stupid.
Jeremiah Jackson
>most arrogent, self centered Did we just forget Toges?
But yeah, Leon was THE normie of Danganronpa.
Austin Hernandez
>Korekiyo >burned alive >Gonta >stung, impaled then burned I'm glad V3's executions were more brutal after 2's laughable attempts.
Anthony Martinez
Nah hers was fucked up slowly gettng choked out. Leon was pretty bad too
Joseph Lewis
Nagito and Fuyuhiko singlehandedly carry it.
Adrian Mitchell
Most of the DR2 ones were too goofy to take seriously. Mikan's doesn't even feel like a death scene.
Christian Green
I was so mad that Kazuichi, the fucking mechanic, couldnt build a single damn thing that aided towards their escape or easing the time on the island.
Elijah Hughes
Well they did harp on that point in the trial
Isaac Collins
>main character is literally named switch >game isn't on switch explain this bullshit
I still assert 1-1's was perfect becauae it lacked goof, though 1-3 is really fucking good too
Dominic Allen
Nagito carried the game. Every good thing about DR2 can be traced back to him. Similarly, you could say the excess focus on him is also one of the worst things about the game's structure.
Dylan Foster
I think 3-1's might be my favorite because it manages to both be brutal and ridiculous.
Josiah Williams
This is so true. V3 is really bloated compared to 1/2 but what hurts it the most, is all the interesting or funny characters die early. Being stuck with himiko, kaito, and maki fucking sucked
Lincoln Campbell
Does "Kaede" happen to mean bait or something?
James Torres
2-2 was good and Nagito had basically no role in it I mostly agree though
Jason Sanders
Monokuma would get rid of it anyway, plus they had everything building minimaru was a nice sentiment tho
Carter Perez
Too busy getting cucked by Gundham for some fucking reason in chapter 4. I like Sonia but she was one of the worst handled characters.
Kayden Hill
Out of curiosity, which characters would you consider the interesting ones?
John Powell
Not him, but I've never cared so much about Fuyuhiko. His character development was so dry and predictable. It doesn't really have a huge impact on the overarching plot either.
Kevin Clark
Wait really? Isn't that a massive spoiler for japanese players then?
Ethan Ortiz
Miu, angie, korekiyo, ryoma, rantaro, tenko. Kaede was annoying and gonta was dumb but it was lovable dumb, not just an outright retard like kaito and himiko
Chase Jenkins
Not him, but Miu and Ryoma were my picks.
Liam Gray
What about Kirumi?
Nathan James
This, pretty much every character in DR2 was a joke except for the main trio of Hajime, Chiaki, and Nagito, and to a lesser extent Fuyuhiko and Peko. Though that isn't necessarily bad since for most of DR2, Hajime figured out the murders with his own reasoning with some help from Chiaki. Nagito was the only character who was a step ahead of Hajime because Nagito is just a madman. It makes Hajime seem like a smart dude when almost everyone else in the cast is a gibbering retard.
Compare that to DR1, where every time Makoto finds something, it's revealed that Kyoko and Byakuya were five steps ahead of you and already figured the whole thing out, only waiting for you to spell it out to everyone. I get that Byakuya is an asshole and wants to make things """interesting"""" but there really isn't any reason for Kyoko to act like she doesn't know anything only to then be like "heh naegi is right" and then explain everything to everyone like she had the whole thing figured out.
Colton Roberts
Good fetish bait with the design and being a designated mommy but a liiiittle bland
Joshua Ramirez
DR2 cast is considered the best because it has the most overtly likable characters. Compare the characters to DR1 and you can see they have more flavor and exaggerated quirks and thus stand out more. I do not say this as a good thing, because DR2's cast are even more one-dimensional and designed with as little flaws as possible to pander. Like in DR1 you have teenagers doing bad shit, for their own reasons, but their choices were still their own and they're better off for it. in DR2, there are many who get some sappy excuse one way or the other. DR3 adding the brainwashing element to explain their despair was just icing on the cake.
Blake Sullivan
If she grows her hair way longer
Jackson Brooks
>we
Chase Campbell
Fuck no, short-mid length hair a cute.
Justin Turner
this is the worst part of the first two games, how there are two characters that live to the end whose sole purpose is to discover the case on their own while it's your job to find an 8 letter word for a machine that moves things between floors of a building.
Brandon Brooks
I cant tell what was worse, Zero III's voice or shitty nicknames and puns.
Jace Myers
>Hajime figured out the murders with his own reasoning with some help from Chiaki ? Hajime figured out murders because Nagito was feeding him trails like crazy every single time and when couldn't keep up, Chiaki had to be the one to solve the crime. Even Monokuma notes that those two are the actual crime solvers after Chiaki and Nagito die, and that your group is lucky the trials are now over.
>but there really isn't any reason for Kyoko to act like she doesn't know anything only to then be like "heh naegi is right" and then explain everything to everyone like she had the whole thing figured out. Kyoko uses Makoto as bait so she doesn't stand out. That's how I've always seen it, and she literally uses him as bait to lure out the mastermind, knowing he was in danger in chapter 4.
It's really ridiculous and I'm glad they got the hang of it with V3. The player is the one presenting the evidence and cluing things together. Our avatar should not be dumbed down to make support characters look like geniuses. It makes the process tedious.
Ryder Diaz
They at least died before the finale in 2
Christopher Martinez
Being fair to Makoto. Kyoko and Byakuya don't do shit in the last trial.
Adam Rivera
Well, 4 out of the 6 survivors were irrelevant after chapter 4 in the first game. Come to think of it it's kinda odd that you spend nearly half the game with just the survivors.
Wyatt Taylor
It’s in English bro. SU-EE-CHI. Enunciate it out loud. SUWICH.
Zachary Carter
>wait till they organize a retarded party or some shit >lock them all in >burn the fucking place No people, no trial, no risk
Grayson Clark
What
Hunter Ward
>we
Benjamin Perry
Especially since during Free Time there are so many people just hanging out in a room with literally no one around. No one would have alibis since hardly anyone hangs out in groups. It would be so easy to just walk in, stab someone, and leave.
Easton Morales
>fucking burn to death or asphyxiate also because you're locked in a sealed airtight building
Parker Cruz
Chiaki was smarter than Hajime bro, she doesn't like to stand out. Go watch 2-1 and 2-5. Chiaki's the one who provides the tangible deductions to oust Nagito's game. Hajime just meanders around 'feeling' that something was wrong, but can't solidify it.
Gavin Mitchell
>Lock the mastermind in >Monokuma busts in with a massive hose and puts the fire out >Monokuma then executes you for damaging the school and being a smartass
Wyatt Turner
>I cant be the only one who though this was a girl
Ian Howard
Hey at least Monokuma'd have to intervene and ruin his own fucking show lol
Jace Reyes
I imagine all but the last happening. If they havent layed down the +2 rule, you did nothing wrong in the game's eyes
By sappy excuses you mean the blacken right? I really don't agree. Teruteru? Eh it was sappy but it's trial 1 so its logical, peko excuse wasn't sappy and it had legit reasons and good development, mikan is null cause of the virus, gundum had a pretty good no? And mr.hopemans excuse was too. They were all pretty flawed
Jayden Rodriguez
Wait a sec, >stage a fire >it fails but kills some people >blame shifted on those not at party >you however go in party before trap sets and fire starts >you knew the fire would fail, nobody else did Perfect alabi as long as the firestarter is self-destroying
Christian Russell
Go back to Strudelberg ESL
Jack Jones
You technically would be breaking the rule of destruction of the cameras since they would all go down the shitter along with the rest of the room. monokuma's a master of rule lawyering, and he's not above pulling the rule out of his ass even if you didn't knew about it (like he did with leon)
Christopher Watson
>but it was lovable dumb Nope
Caleb Gutierrez
Teruteru wasn't any less sappy than Sayaka's. I'm more referring to how Peko gets the 'selfless' angle for Fuyuhiko. Mikan has the virus to explain her behavior. Gundham and Nekomaru fought and tried to kill each other. Chiaki was the real blackened but that was caused by Nagito, who in turn wanted to get rid of the mass-murderers.
Andrew Turner
Even though Akane destroyed Hajime's door lock?
Zachary Reed
Wasn't that ibuki?
Samuel Allen
>will fulfill any wish her master desires you tell me, bud
I like the rhythm games as one of my favorites because I like seeing the characters crack and fly off the handle and attacking their statements to the rhythm is like keeping up with their frenzied state of mind and finally presenting the last piece of evidence that will break them. They are a nice appeal to the psychological aspect to the killing games and the class trials.
Easton Brown
Thanks for the correction. I just thought "most destructive girl" and defaulted to Akane But there WAS a rule about destroying property, right?
Being present on the scene wouldn't be a perfect alibi, once they find out that the fire was supposed to fail the situation will immediately turn around and everyone at the party would be a suspect, it would be better to just not be there in the first place but even then if you're unlucky they could find you out. Basically, it's as good as any other standard Danganronpa plan
Jace Brooks
Yes, but it only says that it's not allowed to break/damage the cameras. and littering in 2.
Blake Lopez
I too like seeing the characters break, but hated PTA.
Dylan Turner
Then just use poisonous gas or something non destructive, shit's easy to DIY
Robert Morris
You say selfless as if the game justifies it. Fuyu says he didn't want her to kill anyone and just wanted her to stick around cause he loves her. So it made everything she did for naught
Jose Murphy
>V3 ending What ending?
Nathaniel Davis
>Sonya and Sayaka in virgin lmao
Easton Green
Komaru reads BL smut.
Parker Hill
>pretends to only have a 30% chance of predicting things correctly but actually has a 99.99% chance and is bored with the world because everything goes perfectly according to his predictions Would have been a cool Ultimate Despair honestly
Leo Flores
>Interested in getting this game >Looks to be another novel game
I couldn't get into P5 or 4 for the same reason, too much fucking dialogue. Which one is good though I want to pirate and at least try.
Does anyone have that picture where the DR1 cast is acting out the game's events in a play? Chihiro is holding Monokuma and Hifumi is hurrying behind the stage.
Jonathan Robinson
>What did you like? The music is fantastic. The (memes aside) ATMOSPHERE of the 1st game was so damn good. The characters were fun, not necessarily well written (though a lot are) . The mysteries were fun.
>Didn't like Sometimes it can drag, especially some cases (THE FUCKING SWITCHING ROOMS IN DR2) Some GOOD characters die too early or just..at all. (See Fish tank death from 3 both victim and murderer) The story as it goes on gets a bit more..ridiculous, even for itself, but its still entertaining enough. >What were things you didn't see and would have liked to or things they didn't do enough of?
Too many to list, but I'd of loved to see alternate endings / murder results. Like befriending person A makes them not turn into a murderer but Person B who feels betrayed or something turns to crime as a result. maybe a light dating aspect? They..kinda did it in 3 with the love hotel? I dunno. never pursed too much.
I'd unironically love a 4th game, but 3 kinda left it out in the open. But seems a 4th game isn't gonna happen ever.
I'm talking about an alternate version of the story lol obviously before all that shit. Besides Izuru relies more on his Ultimate Analyst powers which is closer to Junko who is literally the mastermind of the first game. So I'm saying that it would be cool if it did happen or in an alternate universe or whatever
William Nguyen
>Mikan >ibuki >natsumi >kanon fingering yourself/being fingered doesn't count as being unvirgin. Genocider just wants byak dick. Sayaka got couch'd , angie a slut, tenko is horny, saionji too, aoi has a notably dirty mind, sonia canon unvirgin, and mahiru is a closet pervert
Parker Clark
That is great and all OP, but Monokuma cheats and will force people to start killing. Plus if you fail to find a culprit in the class trial you still die.
Charles Sullivan
Angie cannonically does orgies on her island, how is she a virgin?
Joshua Edwards
>Free food supplied every day >Shielded from terrors of outside world >No need to work Sounds like a chill time as long nobody kills each other
Ryan Baker
The Katana was from Kiyo's room, he'd have still been the top suspect
Caleb Johnson
the motives, user.
Jack Sanders
Really?
Jose Perry
I liked the frenzied music in the PTA the most honestly. It has like a tinge of sadness or regret mixed with the unstable psyche of whoever you're destroying. And I liked the Soul Shield thing because it was like you were destroying everything they represent, like Teruteru's fancy-looking chef emblems or Mikan's pitiful-looking gender symbol that signified her attention-seeking nature as well as the implied rape or sex done out of desperation in her past, with the bandages and nails sticking out of it as if she was already broken and you're just breaking her again.
Tyler Brooks
Angie said the same thing. Hell I'd agree, but being locked up juat isnt something I can live with. Plus Monokuma keeps prodding everyone until they'll do shit. Remember motives every chapter?
Brayden Sullivan
I can't remember this mentioned, free time events?
Zachary Reyes
>bought the Absolute Despair pack with DR1, DR2 and UDG >mfw V3 in the DR1/DR2/V3 pack gets a fucking extra 10% discount (from 60% to 70%) I didn't want to blow too much on danglygrampas but I'm seriously considering it right now.
>Nobody would've known Angie died outside her lab if Tenko didn't die >He wasn't a council member so he wouldn't be able to get in if she was in there how would he even be a suspect?
Michael Carter
I agree, though I also liked AA for its tense music and the characters wearing outfits that are exaggerations of their talents.
Tyler Lopez
Ryoko has Junko's body. No way is that a virgin. I doubt Chisa is either.
Christopher Long
You would still die then if the people you're with are completely retarded, they either vote you wrongly or someone else, and then everyone dies.
Cameron Morales
>This, why would anyone marry a smelly gaymer? I like a stinky pussy sometimes
I liked that too. It was nice to have the A.A actually be a full on argument from the character on why they couldn't have done it instead of the simple statements and words that fly at you during the BTB/PTA. It made the progression as the tempo changed and the statements became more desperate flow more naturally I think. And the designs the characters get during them are interesting too. I like how they start out menacing-looking and sturdy but as you shoot down their words they become pitiful-looking and barely able to keep their clothes on.
Evan Watson
I never had time to look at the emblems, everything happens so fast and I'm trying to remember the commands since I only do this like once or twice a chapter. I jiat dont like how it plays, but its clear the atmosphere for the game has a lot of good designs
Jacob Morales
there is so much wrong with this post it's pathetic
Henry Sanchez
Just destroy the body so no one can find it or tie a rock to it and throw em in the ocean. Piss easy to get away with murder when it’s just children investigating you
Adam Evans
MONOKUMA FAI~RU
Gabriel Evans
Not even exaggerating, now is the time to buy.
Owen Sanchez
>as long as nobody kills eachother yeah until this shit starts blaring all over the building youtube.com/watch?v=LOB0A_mphX8
Easton Wood
And then what? You need to get through a class trial. There won't be a trial unless 3 people find the body.
William Ross
I would protect all the cute girls and try to keep any murders from happening As a fellow incel I would have no incentive to leave
Jose Mitchell
Is the demo for V3 really worth playing?
William Ward
the victim wrote the killers name in their own blood, this trope also appears in literally every single ace attorney game ever made
Julian Young
It worked once
Henry Perry
Monokuma would probably just make something up once everyone else noticed they were missing, like the absence of the person is technically "finding a body" in a way.
Evan Lewis
Mad faggot I don't think his visual novels are that good
Jonathan Price
I doubt it. If anything, he'd take people on a fishing trip and they just happen to find the body. Monokuma would never give someone a free win.
Daniel Rodriguez
>wants to try shit games you like eating shit, plebeian?

When playing through the game I never had the feeling that Chiaki was one of the main trial carriers. What she always did that was helpful was being like "okay we're not getting anywhere so let's look at this from a different angle". She never really made any direct contribution aside from 2-5 when she thought that maybe it wasn't a suicide after all, but that was after her saying that maybe Nagito's death was a suicide. It shows that she's good at figuring things out but she isn't a genius at it, she just keeps looking at things until they piece together properly. Like that moment in Chapter 4 when they just arrived at Grape House and Chiaki proposes the theory of the tower being one tower that connects both houses on the same floor. It was wrong, but she's more of a theorycrafter than a detective, which is what a detective does but she wasn't always on the mark.

Yes, and I won't apologize.

>Marry mikan >After she dies, kill the main character so I can't get executed
Grayson Nguyen
She's very useful in trials, but she's very subtle about it. After seeing the trials a second time, you notice that a lot of the times, she's the one who steers the conversation in the right direction and gives you clues. Same thing for the investigations
Ryder Rodriguez
>She never really made any direct contribution 2-1 is Chiaki cluing on the actual killer and exposing Nagito as a fake along with his motives. The game itself disagrees with you at the end of chapter 5.
Chiaki wasn't perfect but she was without a doubt the smartest after Nagito.
That reminds me. I wish there was more attempts on the mcs life outside of 1-1. Imagine if kaede was actually killed in 3-1 so you would switch to shuichi after since it makes the most sense
Blake Nguyen
>I never had the feeling that Chiaki was one of the main trial carriers. Sure you wouldn't. Like the user says, Chiaki tried not to stand out. You notice it when you pay attention that she says a lot of the right things (also wrong but never without solid basis, and often this will lead you in the correct direction anyway). Though I wouldn't call her a genius yeah. Only Nagito was.
Anthony Evans
On the subject of 2-1 I don't have a transcript of the trial in front of me so I might be wrong but while she definitely helps get things going in the right direction like I said it felt like her contribution was just a little above average of everyone there. Firstly, Mikan was the one who actually suggested that Nagito wasn't the killer after all. She was the one who started talking about the murder weapon not matching up as well as Nagito's clean appearance not matching up with how he should have killed him. I suppose I'll concede and agree with you though. She did assist in directing things, but even with her 'not trying to stand out' I feel as if Kyoko did that but it felt more as if she actually was just using you as a mouthpiece rather than just giving her input when there's no leads.

>tfw i stopped clicking through dialogue just so I could listen to this for 5 minutes since I didn't know when it would end How did they make the music so much better with each game?
>Telecommunication in chapter 3 >Fixing the elevator in chapter 4 >Making Minimaru in chapter 5 Souda is a pussy but he's a good dude and did more than his fair share of work
For me it's Box 15 Despair Searching Ikoroshia Ekoroshia Box 16 Hope Searching
Despair Searching is great, I fucking love listening to it at night

If UDG had actual good gameplay, it would've been the best entry into the franchise.

What are we actually seeing here? The one with the bat and all the dead students is obvioous, it's monokuma killing everyone for not participating in the killing game.
But what of the group hanging? And the group drowning, with one boy swimming?
I dig it, but it always a little strange to me how they used what sounds like a black dude singing, same with monokumas theme, sounds like a small group of african dudes.
Ryder Sanchez
Probably just showing everyone hanging but zoomed in so the dummies are bigger. The swimmer is struggling and looks tired or ready to give up and drown
Jeremiah Hughes
>meanwhile no one questions Byakuya for toying with a corpse
You're right, but he did say that he would've said who the killer was if no one else found out.
Think the black piece represents the blackened and the multiple ways to get away with it. The black piece with the bat is them mass murdering everyone since the rule of only 2 people wasn't in that game, but obviously it never would have happened because Team Danganronpa wouldn't have wanted to write it that way. The group hanging is when they get away with the class trial and everyone else gets executed I think. And the drowning one is them in the process of murdering a group of people. Or maybe they all just represent mass execution after the class trial victory. But then again that wouldn't make sense because of the First Blood Perk. So upon all these considerations it's probably just different scenes of mass murder, with the hypnotic effect of the colours and music to perhaps 'suggest' ways of murder to the participants psychologically, without the actual 'mass' part of the murder being explicitly intended.
Jayden Smith
Also I think the black piece represents the blackened because they all look like pawns, which is something a participant would look like not the headmaster, and the fact that all the other pieces are sparkling, aka 'spotless' which is the name given to innocent players, while that one piece is black.
Jayden Wood
how the hell did leon get that scuffed up?
Wyatt Williams
It's not really a win if they never go to trial. The killer's still stuck there until 3 people discover the body.
Jose White
being pummeled with balls

I unironically could have listened to this shit all day, those other faggots are mega chumps.

Anybody have any art of the blackened getting away with it? I thought this was rad and want to see more
