god damn it why am i so fucking bad at this, i play drums in a fucking metal band, i probably have a better sense of rythym than all you faggots combined and yet i even fail at the easy songs on this

Then play something else, getting good at Osu isn't worth it anyway

Don't panic, look at the note you are going to hit in the future, not the note you need to hit now. Practice. Osu is also a lot harder than it was in 2007, so sort your songs by star difficulty rating. Find your comfort zone and push it slowly.

A sense of rhythm is the least of your worries, chart reading is much harder to do.

Osu is more for people who play shooters than people who have rhythm.

osu is trash
have some self respect and pick up a taiko no tatsujin or something

Dont get distracted by a missed note. Focus on the next one so you dont keep missing.
Also change volume levels so the hitsounds are at max, makes it easier to tell how accurate your timing is

yeah might not bother with it too much, i dont have a drawing tablet and playing it with the mouse makes my hand cramp like a bitch

this, get Cytus instead.

Currently top 6300. Was 4600 and climbing but I kinda lost motivation. Literally just play more and build good habits, alternative, good grip, etc.

Having musical talent doesn't make you good at rhythm games. They're more based on reaction times than anything else, that and pure power of memorizing movement.

osu is barely a rhythm game

Games like rhythm heaven can be played purely by listening to the music and not looking at the screen
Its the only real rhythm game series in my opinion

swallow your pride

>Just activate king crimson dude.

osu is a game for people who are too shit at rhythm games
Play StepMania like a real chad instead

>used to be kind of decent at an old guitar hero clone
>charts were made using the main instrument, usually a guitar
>check a bunch of "similar" rhythm games
>most are hyperhard charts that use even the drums in the same chart where they're only there to make it harder
I miss Jam Legend

>Cytus
this is just osu with extra steps

A fair point, I've even found that not looking helps

I found that sometimes I download files where legit the timing is not perfect and it fucks me up
and then chart makers choose to follow dumb parts of the rhythm instead of the lead and it annoys me

Looks more like a poor mans djmax technika than osu to be honest my dude.

I just want a new Ouendan/EBA ;_;

i have a question kinda unrelated to osu! but still related to rhythm games. I have a midi keyboard that I use for music production, is there any fun rhythm games that would be able to be used with it? Maybe like a piano style rhythm game?

Tapsonic Bold I guess? Might be some old arcade rhythm games you could figure out how to emulate that might be good with that as well but I don't remember the names of them.

Maybe we don't have fucking toasters as a pc.

just checked out Tapsonic, seems pretty cool. I'll look around for a midi translator. Thank you for the response!

you need high tier autism to play this shit

keyboardmania

Keep playing

The shitters on Yea Forums just can't play it

I don't really like the game but I have a friend who is top 10 of our country so that's cool.
