I really like the Arbiter but I wasn't a fan of how Chief felt like a B plot in Halo 2. He kills a prophet no one cares about, gets blown up, fails to kill other prophets, and then just goes home.

Halo 3's campaign was dogshit. It took out all the levity and fun of Halo 1 & 2, and recycled ideas from the first two campaigns but did them worse, most of the levels were tedious and boring. Halo 3 also looked kind of bad for its time, blood and bullet holes wouldn't stay on the walls like in 2, everything was a bit too shiny and the character models for the humans looked weird. ODST was a breath of fresh air and had enough fun original parts to make up for it being on the lackluster Halo 3 game engine. Halo 1 was great until the tedious part near the end when you have to follow the little robot guy through the flood zone. Halo 2 was wonderful: the characters and dialogue were fun, all the levels were enjoyable, and it had the most epic moment in the series: "Bring the Covenant back their bomb."
