This. Given how fucking disastrous every attempt Capcom has made at mobile games was before this I can understand them outsourcing for it when they're currently focusing on cutting out the outsourcing for their main game series on consoles/PC. Even Nintendo figured this shit out before they did.

I figured for tournaments they would just use Room Match. You can turn any deck into a QR code so you can pretty easily move from setup to setup if you have the code on you, and that's if you wouldn't just use your personal phone.

All these fucking card games play and are the exact same based on Hearthstone's progression system and play area.

They really should start adding Ace Attorney stuff. You could do so much with its characters as cards (and of course Wright as a Hero). That said it's pretty clear they're setting up Akuma & Nero to be Heroes in the future.

I'm not familiar with HS but Teppen's gameplay is definitely different, as it works in real time instead of turns.

Teppen is way different to Hearthstone, there's no turns, you're actively needing to manage a constantly regenerating AP pool to keep the 3 sides of your field loaded with units while using action cards to help them and counter your opponent's cards. If there's anything you can't call it, it's a Hearthstone clone.

Hopefully Akuma won't be too soon, SF's representation is fine for now. Even Jill, it not for her themed expansion, feels out of place although her Explore mechanic is really cool.

Half the reason people are playing this is because it's not a regular card game. It's real-time and has character/super selection like a fighting game. The other half is because they know who the characters are already rather than it being a new IP.

Jill feels rushed out early to come with the Asian launch. I expect the new set to have a lot of Explore support.

Definitely. Unless they screw up unit stats like with Guile/Carlos I can see her becoming top tier with her second HA. Still, from a story pov she feels redundant - we already had Chun Li as "detective chasing the criminal"

I'd happily play his Story section even though they mostly exist as fluff because his would be great comedy. Just a dude in a suit running around a weird generic fantasy world attacked by monsters and robots and martial artists and somehow winning because card games.

I feel like you could make some really interesting cards/mechanics out of lawyers too. Finding "evidence" that goes into the EX Pocket is the first thing that comes to mind, but existing mechanics like Seal would also be fitting.

You can reach the top without spending any money so not yet. They aren't giving away as many booster packs as the first month but there's plenty of virtual currency to buy packs or craft cards.

An HA that seals akin to Morrigan's stun would be really scary.

Not quite, all heroes are free and in the past season the meta was determined by their supers which unlock by leveling them through playing matches, cards are still important but they're all balanced decently enough that none are gigantic game changers on their own.

It'd be really cool to see honestly. 17-20 AP to Seal any one enemy Unit. The opponent would need to be able to afford building wide instead of tall so that they force Wright to choose which is the bigger issue. It wouldn't be busted because it wouldn't remove Attack/HP boosts and Sealed Units can get more effects after being Sealed.

In that regard Dreading Rathalos can got fuck itself. Unless you have a bunch of flying/destroy/stun or Hadoken ready he can really change the flow. Really annoying considering that it has no drawbacks unlike the black legendaries.

There's definitely Top Tier/meta cards though. Like 60% of Ranked has Green in their deck and every Green deck runs at least one Epic Iris, Epic Ibuki can win a game for a Purple deck solo, and since Jill dropped any Red deck that doesn't run at least 2 Mikhails isn't optimal. Legendaries are also very strong but they're meant to be since they're high-cost and have a 1-per-deck limit.

Do people cheat by forcing their opponent to dc in this game? I swear, it only happens when I'm winning.

With Morrigan you could try keeping halt and HA around for everytime they use wrath awoken, should work like Wesker's Dark Destruction. Having the "return to ex" cards around can also help as most of their minions are going to be 3-4MP.

There's a card database somewhere online now but it doesn't have the full art that shows when you tap the card. Even then the Secret Rares and all the Heroes are animated so caps don't really work.

I'm playing DD Wesker and all my cards except 4 are revenge based, the third art is kind of redundant when there's already 3 cards with the same purpose.

Also after the nerf spike launch isn't as effective, the only good variant I've run into was based around damage boosting with only the crows as sacrifice units.

I kind of hate that this is clearly 4/5 DT despite it being a moment from DMC1.
