Quick rundown: >ragna0 is based on kRO zero, which is a new mode of Ragnarok Online that changes the game a lot (pretty much all skills are different now, new gear, gears have stats a la Diablo, there are fever maps containing stronger versions of mobs) etc. >Currently second jobs+ninja, but kRO already reached rebirth so there is room for progression >since there are no code leaks, everything is being playtested the hard way, but it already completed its beta >exp tables and drops are different from normal RO so the rates aren't what you might think
no YOU shut up OSWALDx69! and I know you're in here, BatistaBanger, you stole my card!

>new Ragnarok Online server, sweet! >"come join our /vg/ guild!!" >know they'll get lv99 in 2-3 days, ""run out of content"" and quit within a week before moving to the next server >server population a couple of weeks from now = single digits Same shit happens with EVERY fucking server Yea Forums recommends. 2 months ago it was all Legends of Midgard shilling. It was a good server but you cunts dropped that server quicksmart after you "ran out of content" from try-harding too much.
Cant you cunts just enjoy RO as it was meant to be played? (ie: comfy sip alcohol while watching TV and occasionally left clicking some enemy to death hat simulator)
Ninjas have always been overpowered, just like all the side classes (Soul linkers, Taekwons, Supernovice) no-one plays them because they're "different"
Samuel Evans
>Legend of Midgard You realized that the server fucked up and wiped the zeny right? Good riddance Super Novice is garbage
Luis Morales
Literally noone played LoM you fake news merchant, there wasn't even a guild
Julian Ramirez
Dual up to 2 clients are allowed too but partying seems to be popular so you can assume a third of them are duals
Caleb Green
>Cant you cunts just enjoy RO as it was meant to be played? (ie: comfy sip alcohol while watching TV and occasionally left clicking some enemy to death hat simulator)
I'm smelling a fucking Snorigins slave, just remember that your kind is permabanned from all future /rog/ guilds
>from 150 at launch to 300+ in a week n-no!!!, it was supposed to fail!!!
time to give it a chance I guess
Kayden Wood
>Snoriginlet already coping
Leo Thomas
giving bad info like this is why no one is going to take you fucks seriously when you try to shill this server
Nathaniel Lee
Stay in your own shit server Snorigincuck
Hunter Russell
don't play this server its shit
Liam Ross
you really don't have to point it out, you can deduce it from the replies
Brody Rodriguez
I only played ro2, trees of savior and ro mobile. how will i fare in this one? Also I'm a girl gamer but that's not important.
Colton Price
>no new IP Snoriginshitters already started samefagging huh. Even Renewal players aren’t this bad
Isaac Sanchez
Anyone here play RO M?
James Butler
I did, i didn’t like it. Too p2w
Benjamin Nelson
i enjoyed it a lot, but i wished the guys who made it just made a pc version with the original maps and mechanics with the new shit they added in
Nicholas Powell
Call me when they get Gunslingers.
Evan Wood
Where can I find a guide for total noob? I never played RO before.
Jason Ortiz
Don’t rely on guides, RO is choose your own adventure game. This mechanic is still new to a lot of people so no min maxing yet
Jack Gonzalez
Tbqh i dont know shit about zero
Jacob Nguyen
The server starts off by holding your hand so you probably don't need a guide, I also received stat and skill reset coupons so you can fuck up stats without having to reroll
Jacob Miller
mechanic is mostly renewal but it would be wrong to suggest reading into them because there's also quite a bit of enw mechanics.
For totally noob: You're a novice, you click on monsters to get exp.
You have two levels to work on, base and job. Every time you get a base level, you can add points to your stats, every time you get a job lvl, you can add points to skills.
When you get to job lvl 10, you can change job to either:
Swordie: sort of tank on the first jobs. uses swords and spears for a bit of range. has a sort of reliable aoe skill but don't have quite enough sp for it.
Mage: Magic user, obviously. You get elemental bolts so you have early elemental advantage. (other jobs have to rely on elemental weapons that are quite mid game items)
Archer: ranged obviously. also has elemental advantage early on with arrows but their attacks are physical (which won't matter early game really)
Thief: meelee speedsters. Not much usable offensive skills on the first job so you're stuck with autoattacking things. they have high flee and double attack though.
Merchant: Meelee. They uhhh, can get discounts and overcharge items. They can also vend things in town and go offline while doing so (server specific QoL). Mostly auto attack because its one offensive skill costs money to use.
Acolyte: Support job. Supports the party and shit. You have an option to not be a support though, which brings us to:
Kayden Allen
2nd jobs When you reach base and job 50, you get to change to your second job based on your first job:
Swordie: Knight and Crusader Knight is the more offensive variant and crusader the defensive one. Knights have one of the best AOEs while crusaders can be invaluable in parties. They both move fast because they can ride pecos (sort of like chocobos of RO)
Mage: Wizard and Sage Wizard is an expansion of your offensive mage skills. You get AOE elemental skills. Sage is more support orriented but doesn't have to. They have ability to change other people's elemental type without needing a weapon.
Aaron Russell
Archer: Hunter and Bard/Dancer Hunter is pretty much just stronger archer. You have option to be a trapper though, which lays traps and blast mobs. You get a cool falcon. Bards and Dancers are usually support types. They give boosts to parties and shit through songs and dances. Most notable is the one that buffs exp or one that makes wizards cast faster.
Thief: Assassin and Rogue Assassin is uhh, I don't know. I guess they're still meelee folks. Their theme is poison but poison sucks so I'm not sure if that's worth noting. Other than that, they can double their critical attack rate (ignores def) when they're using katars. Rogues are meelee types that can get more loots passively because they can steal while autoattacking. They can also a single skill from other classes (but loses it when they're attacked by another skill).
Nathan Sanders
Merchant: Blacksmith and Alchemist Smiths are strong. Most of their offensive skills boosts their (and their party's) attacks. They use Two handed axes that previously have the most attack in game. They can also make elemental weapons which usually drives a server's economy mid game but doing so means you have to allocate stats on stats that make you quite useless in battle. Alchemists are the same in that they have a crafting skill line and make potions. Offensive-wise, they use bombs and their pet homunculus to deal damage but making bombs are expensive and time consuming while you need to raise your homunculus to make them useful.
Acolyte: Priest and Monk Priests are a continuation of the support line of the acolyte. They get more party buffs. They do get offensive skills though, notably one that can one-shot undead enemies. They also have a holy type AOE (which can now deal damage to none undead enemies too). Monks are physically offensive sort of acolyte. They punch tihngs or beat them with a mace. They have once of the strongest one shot attack in game. They also have a skill that makes them super hard so they're nice tanks for party play.

>no soul linker to make sages not just a trash pvp class >no real meaningful sage changes pass. retards didn't even carry over essential concepts like rogue having plagiarism protection from reinc
Nolan Lewis
hindsight drops bolts half the hidsight level which is not as strong as soul linked sage but not that bad either.
>rogue having plagiarism protection from reinc why would you want that? that's the whole shebang of their transcended form.
Samuel Ross
>tried out the server >claims that it's prerenewal but it's actually just a renewal in a prerenewal skinsuit with the stupid fixed casting, attack/def changes, level exp scaling and renewal mob location
Julian Russell
>didn't try out the server >claim I did on Yea Forums >make my self look like a retard for claiming things I didn't really check
Zachary Collins
nah they died because an update of theirs was getting picked up by windows10 anti-virus, which was instantly deleting the .exe. the tiny minority of codefags told everyone else to "git gud" while the average joe couldn't make it work, before dying of old age waiting a month for an update to finally not show up as a virus. servers just have to stop assuming that the average retard knows how to code because honestly half the mouth-breathers on the internet these days dont even know what alt-f4 does.
Adam Lewis
>ragnarok online-related searches for items, quests and cards is showing RO:M by default now
It's true fucktard, you can check the defense mechanic just by looking at yiur gear and the mobs ain't giving me prerenewal exp and isn't in their classic/prerenewal location so stop trying to disinfo to bait people into playing your server
Eli Torres
Private servers has been and will always be shit. You guys need to move on.
Luke Turner
>cuckfficial player
Oh nonono
Nathaniel Carter
This was never a pre-re server. their claim is that it's a zero-based server, which was never pre-renewal. you're not wrong that it's renewal because that's exactly where zero is built on top of.
Connor Martin
The future is now, old man.
Nathaniel Perry
Shining Moon RO had 500 players at launch. This is what peak Ragnarok Online server launching looks like.
Christopher Flores
Never played RO, how is TalonRO for a beginner? I want to play something that isnt loaded with custom game breaking items and weird stuff like that
can't you guys, like, just license r0, and make a new ir0
Jason Lopez
i can tell this game is something i would have loved as a kid in 2004 but now i'd never be able to get into it
Landon Thomas
>>ragna0 is based on kRO zero, which is a new mode of Ragnarok Online that changes the game a lot Is kRO zero some chink OC donut steel or actual Gravity mechanics?
Jaxson Jackson
Yeah it's actual Gravity mechanic. "New" is a bit of a stretch since it's still mostly renewal. There's just new concepts like random stat bonuses on weapons that mobs drop, actual-new weapons, some new skill mechanics, Fever Maps which are sort of stronger version of normal mobs but they use the same sprite only darker, some kro:zero specific instances, grindier exp table, and new quests, I think.
So it's pretty much still just same old RO (renewal) except you can't use the established guides because no one knows yet what to min max yet. I mean the stats are still the same but now your end gears aren't the usual suspects anymore (or maybe they are, who knows)
Carson Davis
i wish you guys would play so you guys would talk and I won't have to bump this stupid thread
I think the only MMO Yea Forums would consider playing aside from the current ones is that Blue Protocol MMO.
It is still in Alpha Mode though.
Hunter Jenkins
>muh unique exp tables and drops rate Is this supposed to be a feature?
Cameron Kelly
Leika > nobbacuck
Noah Perry
Cool, does it have a Yea Forums guild yet?
Henry Garcia
Its the whole reason they suck ass as a class before reincarn and are limited to farming 3 zones as a shitty knight clone.
If you're going to make customizations to the classes you should atleast bring the important ones. Having looked at the class differences most of them are joke shit. sage stuck as a gimmick woe class etc
Brody Diaz
What is Routver up to these days?
Brandon Gutierrez
Does anyone still play on Origins. I remember being in Moebros like a year ago. Started over with a new character now.
I just get an itch for RO every once in a while, last time I played was about a year ago. I like leveling, grinding for loot, PvP and WoE. Sure I'll be bored again in a month or two.
Aaron Green
I was busy playing the game
The random drops make no sense, I got a bunch of high level swordsman and thief gear off porings and now I have a crossbow with +400 health at level 20, probably not gonna play it again
John Williams
Could make one
Levi Allen
>filled with pinoy plvling one another all day >can literally spend cash to buy mvp cards Stay away. t. been in a pinoy guild there for a few months. really regretted it
Liam Ramirez
Routver literally got bullied into ragequitting RO and disappearing forever by the DiscordCHAD openclique friends. I am not making this up. He eventually came crawling back after months in exile, but moerats is dead now and they've gone to some other guild (or presumably stopped playing entirely). Good riddance.
