Probably.
I haven't finished it myself but I'm going to run on the assumption that it's one of those series where the mechanics/gameplay is improved with each entry
Though most people I've asked said to just outright skip the original SMT games or that the 2nd was the best out of them
My opinions, it's very grindy and has an insanely high encounter rate but most fights can be greatly shortened through the Talk mechanic
I don't really mind these though

you can start almost anywhere since they're pretty independent from each other

depends mostly on what you want to get from it
there's a pretty good SMT chart but i don't have it at the moment

people will usually tell you to start at either SMT nocturne or 4 for the overall idea
then there's persona 3-5 if you want kino trash-pop music and animu characters, p1 and p2 are closer to the mains series but with highschoolers
Devil Survivor kinda has the highschooler animu feel, but it's more plot oriented
Strange Journey is also it's own thing, but a pretty fun take on the formula
then there's a ton shit of other spinoffs. but those are more for fans of the series

this was my assumption

I've played Persona 5 and #FE, had started Persona 1 but wanted to finish if... first, but then that devolved into wanting to go all the way back into SMT, so i've played nothing.

Was most interested in if... and Nocturne, I also bought Strange Journey Redux on a whim.
