I just completed one again for the first time in years, and never played 2. I fired up 2 and immediately hated what they've done to the game. Does it get better after the tutorial zone?

i feel like 2 peaks around the part where you meet the clever girls, which is about 1/3 to 1/2 of the game

2 is seriously incredible. You should really give it a chance. Isaac's character is so much more interesting than the blank slate of 1. Not to mention it just has better set pieces and armor designs
