How the fuck can simple, repetitive, looping and short songs be so memorable and contribute so much to this game's atmosphere? Imagine if this game had the same production value as Danganronpa. I've been replaying the entire game from the beginning to see if I could take a different path just like in ZE or in a way lesser extent, like Corpse Party in order to see if I could save ______Joe______ or _______Kai______ from their demise, but it seems major plot events are set in stone in chapter 1 and you can't do a thing about it. Pure despair... I've also tried to see during the final attraction in chapter 2 if not pushing the doll Reko would do anything but I waited two whole minutes and nothing happened, so Alice ended up dying once again.
Spoilers for chap 2 part 2 : I read some posts pointing towards Joe being an ally to the kidnappers but I didn't really believe them until getting to this part in pic related again. One thing I don't get is why does his AI show up at the end when he's not supposed to be part of the candidates right?
Was it really necessary to have a separate sprite for Kanna pissing herself?

You need to meander during the discussion segment of the final attraction by pressing statements over and over again. Then time will run out and you'll be on the Alice path.

I think having higher production values would probably be harmful. It's pretty obvious that this is mainly done by one person just because of how cohesive everything is. I think the only thing I'd want in a remastered version would be voice acting and even then I'm not sure how well it'd actually translate. >Spoilers for chap 2 part 2 He wasn't supposed to be a candidate, but I think it's just because the organiztaion knows he'd be involved since he sticks to Sara (this is mentioned in Kai's e-mails).

Joe worked with Kai. Joe loved Sara but when her father found out he told Kai to deal with Joe. Kai growing soft could not do it and instead warned Joe and roped him into it all. Its why Joe downplayed the stalker. He knew it was just Kai. Its also why he got with Sara's best friend so that he could always be near her since he could not have her. Its also why he confessed the way he did. He had to say it but knew his words could come to hurt Sara if he just outright said it.
His AI was made by Shin. As much as Shin seemed to be an asshole he is really just a good guy that is terified of dying. He saw that if he stayed himself he would always die so he became someone else. Even so he is still Shin deep down. Its why he looks so hurt and thrown off when despite all hes done you still call him a friend.

The demo for 3-1 will be released at Comiket in a few days, and the actual release will probably be later this year. Hopefully we won't have to wait long for the translation.

Yeah, I love DR but the fanbase is cancer and doesn't even try to actually discuss the games. YTTD is significantly more niche, so hopefully it won't suffer the same fate.

I'm thinking the sequence of events are as such: >Joe goes up the stairs to find Sara >Kai runs in and goes bounding toward Sara's room >Joe is distracted by the noise, sees him and tries to fight him >while they're preoccupied, they're both knocked out by whoever was in the room
