How long is the campaign?
The bit in Calvino's office with the safe was sweet as hell. The machine shop in general was fun. Very impressed with the game so far.
If you run through main story only, probably about 18-20 hours. As much as twice that if you try to explore and do every corner of the map.
>tfw Bethfucks raped yet another modern classic out of existence by naming their unrelated game "Prey".
No one even cared about Prey2006, they just jerked off to the idea of the sequel which was already in a wildly incompetent devs hands.
It not even close to those hours unless your retarded. 15-18 hours max and thats even on the hardest difficulty.
>which was already in a wildly incompetent devs hands.
unironically, based
the video demo everyone kept jerking off about looks incredibly fucking janky and unpolished for a game that was supposedly near the end of development -animation bugs up the ass, being able to spam tools that were clearly designed to be limited use, "combat" just being auto-aim with a one hit kill gun that slowed down time every time you killed someone- and then Human-Head went ahead and made The Quiet Man which proved they couldn't be trusted to make a functional hallway-game, let alone a big open world RPG
>devs that made this also made the Dishonored series plus its expansion
>now being forced to work on Wolfenshit by Bethesda
>then Human-Head went ahead and made The Quiet Man
Anyone who spergs out about prey 2 should be reminded of this
No, he's about right.
>on my first playthrough
>19 hours on record
>at life support
Oh no!
>No one even cared about Prey2006,
speak to yourself, little zoom zoom.
Imagine being this bad at vidya.
Imagine rushing through games for no good reason.
Cope, I usually parrot OLD GAME GOOD but once a decade something amazing comes out.
So what ending did morgon choice if we were playing through his memories
Also, How does moon dlc play into the timeline?
>games is filled to the fucking brim with world-building text
>dont ready any of it and play like it's a zoomer shooter
stop doing that
Brainlet, I've beat the game multiple times and on my first playthrough it was still under 20 hours with all sidequests. No excuses for taking that long unless you legitimately can't navigate the spaceship or doing a hard mode with no PSI run.
>only company still making Warren Spector-style games
>forced to make shitty shooter
Beth pls
So you rushed.
It's implied that the outbreak on earth was caused by the moonbase after a mimic snuck onboard a shuttle.
most people didnt give a single fuck user
it's one of those games that had a small vocal fanbase relative to other "cult classics"
nobody thinks you are smart or good at video games for zipping through them
game sure as fuck wasn't hard so im guessing most people taking their time did so because shit looked cool and they wanted to roam around and backtrack a lot
This. Regardless of your opinion on the 06 Prey, calling this game _____ Shock would have been more accurate and it would've probably sold more.
Maybe if you know where stuff is, but if you're playing for the first time it's gonna take you a little longer.
Ignoring the fact that nu-Prey is the superior title in every way (and the best game of 2017)
If by rushed you mean beat all side quests, tried out the various endings and read the flavour text then yes.
I'm not implying I'm good at all. Anyone saying this game has a length of 18-20 hours on a first run however is a kotaku journalist tier brainlet however.
>and it would've probably sold more
What honestly makes you believe that?
NO MIMIC YOU ARE SHUTTLE
To whoever designed the looking glass calibration scene in psychotronics: FUCK YOU
Depends on which Morgan. If you mean the "original", pre tests, probably the nullwave.
Anyone else disappointed as fuck about the mooncrash DLC? More of the base game would have been kino instead of the randomisation and awful chars.
Ccomparisons to Bioshock would have helped it since normalniggers ate Infinite up
>he didn't find all the bodies.
guys what's the correct order for moon crashers?
I think the Shock name recognition is still strong enough that people would impulse buy it based on the name. I've recommended Prey to people who loved the System/Bioshock games but hadn't cared about Prey when it released, and they loved it. I really feel like the game would have gotten more recognition if it had been named better, and more recognition means more sales.
engie, hacker, vol, yu, sec
will there be a sequel? shit was dank
I don't know if I want a direct sequel. The story was pretty self contained. Another game with similar gameplay and a equal or better story though? I'd be down.
Probably never cause it sold like shit. Bethesda forcing the Prey IP on it probably hurt more than it helped. Calling it Neuroshock to get Bioshock and System Shock fags to buy it would have been a lot better.
>mfw Arkane actually delivers the Prey2 that autists screech about but with the customization/mechanics of the 2017 game and better gunplay
I never get a chance to post this so here we are.
Don't mess with my emotions like that
2006 had soul
>tfw Arkane is just an outsourcing studio now for the two worst games in bethesdas portfolio (76 and Youngblood)
>Dishonored has been put on hold
>Prey is similarly frozen
>Arx Fatalis is 100% dead
>tfw immersive sims are dead outside of a scarce few indie games
post yfw entering Talos 1 exterior for the first time
So did 2017.
they have an original game called deathloop coming up, claimed to have "freedom to play how you want" and "meticulously designed levels"
so back to something more like dishonored and prey
Is this worth pirating, playing with a trainer for a week or two, and then never touching it again or finishing it?
Yes
>dishonored is dead
>prey is on hold
>deus ex is dead
>thief is dead
>trainer
lmao casual, go back to 2005
>Cheat Activated
What did you just say to me?
What type of Typhon is this?
>have fear of being adrift in space
>mfw
once i got the booster upgrade it was fun though
>already forgot about it
fuck, thats not a good sign
>Square enix killed all of its immersive sims and nearly shuttered the studio doing the immsim-like (Hitman and iO) for a live service avengers game
Even if Avengers somehow turns out to the greatest games ever made (even though all signs point to it just being sonic boom 2) I will still hate square til my dying breath
Daily reminder
daily reminder that just because prey 2 sadly got canceled doesn't mean 2017 is a bad game
Heh.
what happens?
The concept looks damn good and the early gameplay they showed before it was canned tried to stay true to the trailer. That footage felt a bit lackluster, thouse that might be because it was meant as a short vertical slice. A Prey 2 made by Arkane with all the lessons learned from Dishonored and and Prey applied would be pretty cool.
>Favorite genres are stealth and immersive sim
>Both are practically dead
I played as FeMorgan
It took me 17 hours to do every quest on normal and I was exploring every nook and cranny for loot. Took me 12 hours to do the same thing on nightmare my second run.
