The first game's art style and gameplay was kino and the story was fine
Is the second game worth playing Yea Forums?
Dishonored
Yeah its great
Dishonored 1 is great
The DLCs for Dishonored 1 are great
Dishonored 2 is great
Death of the Outsider is great
Even the fucking novel is great
The greatest injustice of this decade is that the Dishonored games didn't become the biggest hit.
I dropped dishonored 2 an hour in. I dont know man it just doesn't have the feels.
it's the same as the first game but somehow less comfy. also the new Outsider voice is absolute trash. dishonored 1 and its dlcs are perfect without the sequels.
No
They used the same concept artist who designed Half Life 2’s aesthetics as well: Viktor Antonov.
Sequel is way better but for some reason I just can't get into it.
It feels... I don't know. Soulless? I know it's a meme word but that's the best way to describe it.
Art style and level design of 2 are very good, I'd even daresay better than the first. It helped that levels are bigger but never too big. Story and voice-acting is overall weaker. Gameplay isn't as fluid as the first but it's still good. If you enjoyed the first, there's good reasons to think you'll enjoy the second. Play Knife of Dunwall and Brigmore Witches DLC if you haven't as it's just more of the 1st game if not better.
Not for the second one no.
Yeah, I like both. Of course the second one looks and feels a little different since its located in pseudo Brazil and you play (optionaly) as Corvos daughter
Dishonored 2 is literally more of the same. No better no worse. The PC port isn't nearly as optimized though. My one regret is that I played a non-lethal playthrough, I think it would've been more fun to mess around with the powers, most of which are lethal.
That's why you replay it. I played through Dishonored 2 four times. I can't think of any other game where that is the case.
Yeah for sure. Gameplay and level design and world building is just as good if not better.
Story drops the ball though, ESPECIALLY if you played the DLC for the first game. I have no idea why they decided to re use a villain. Dumb idea.
2 is an improvement in every way. I do not understand the hate some have for it.
It's definitely better.
It's inherently less novel and the story is worse. But yeah, 2 is better.
>story
Sure, but I wouldn't call the plot of 1 very good either. The world is cool, but I definitely don't return to either Dishonored for the story.
Well why would they? The concept was already there.
The story of Dishonored 1 was at least competently told. Dishonored 2 is literally just a rehash of the same story. It wasn't earned at all.
The final level and the ending of 2 was very disappointing compared to 1. Also I think it's sort of strange to return to dunwall for the final level when they committed everything else to the new setting.
I felt sort of empty after finishing 2 compared to 1. I didn't even feel like replaying it once.
