It's a tricky issue, I'm not 100% against DLC characters depending on pricing and its a much better alternative to multiple physical releases and helps extend the games lifespan. Tira was a bad case because she was included as a pre order bonus but the remaining characters were not in the disc already.

there aren't any super long combos in SC and rounds can be ended very quickly, especially now that they've added lethal counters which you will receive huge damage for. You get a lot of footwork and trying to break down your opponents defenses accordingly. Guard gauge and guard impact mechanics also put players in and out of defense and offense very quickly, having ringouts as well can mean a player on a steep disadvantage can use the environment to get an instant KO. With the exception of slide inputs and just frames you could argue the actual inputs are incredibly lenient for players picking up the game too without actually sacrificing any core mechanic

I hate and like Cassandra so much.

On one hand they did a great job with her moveset. It captures her personality while also being flashy and making her stand apart from Sophitia. On the other hand she's unga bunga as fuck even at low levels. Her moves draining her guard meter is a non-issue in most matches because she spends so much time swinging that your guard is still more likely to break before hers does. She can completely control neutral with like 2 moves and a lot of her string have built in guard break so even GI is risky. That and she has tons of moves that lead into a grab mix-up and you're guaranteed to still eat a chunk of damage even if you break the follow-up. Really feel like they need to dial back her speed just a tad bit or make it harder to get her shield buff up. Or at least lower her damage. She's like a mini Nightmare with how hard she hits except her also come out faster and there are way less gaps to exploit.

Yes, honestly you shouldn't get hit by RE past your first 10 hours

The higher level you get, the less often you'll see RE. Start using A+B and other guard break moves more. They're plus on block so it's not like you'll be punished for using them and when you land one while they're doing RE, you'll get a big punish, an actual combo for most character. They're also all verticals that have little to no tracking so just side stepping often or when you see the red flash can cause them to whiff and give you a free punish. They also have a good amount of startup too so just poking with a single A/AA/B/K and then blocking/side stepping will cause them to whiff as well.

Both are generally considered high tier with Sieg usually considered 2nd best in the game lately and are pretty easy to pick up. Sieg has some specific things that will take time to learn like properly inputing agA and how to make the most of his stances whereas Mitsurugi you can get away with mainly fundementals. Skyll managed to make top 8 at EVO with Mitsu just playing footsies 90% of the time.

They should add this to the base game already, embarassing that a shipped game by supposed professionals can't do what a literal who modder can do.
