Yes but its a must play with headphones and it build up the atmosphere/immersion if you play it at night with lights off.

If you for some reason dont dig the gameplay its still worth playing because of the characters and story. Have fun user your in for a ride.

atmosphere and sound design on fucking point, could not be any better on that regard
only flaw is that the default mode should feature limted lives, as the item loss penalty thats in place is too soft to spell any real negative consequence, but starting on hard is otherwise too challenging for any new player
soak up the atmosphere and try and survive as if it actually carried significant weight, and its a perfect survival horror

This as been one of the best horror games I've ever played. Being locked up in your house at night, hearing the banging on your barricades is absolutely terrifying. It has just the right amount of creep VS relief.

Plan ahead
Litter your hideout with broken bottles and bear traps on key spots, try and stand still, place lamps away from windows and place all your defenses on the one room you're staying in instead of spreading them all around the hideout

I already had it on pc but I just picked it up on switch because it seems like the perfect kind of game for switch. The graphics and controls are on par with pc but it does slow down a but around some areas. I recommend switch tho if you like the portability like me, seems like a good port.
