PLAY AZURE STRIKER GUNVOLT

Well the first game's gameplay mechanisms weren't good. ASG2 gave us clips and Copen with his own game-mechanics and gear and clips, so it was an upgrade for the better. Now Luminous Avenger iX will also feature a more expanded Copen gameplay. Really wondering how it will be when it hits the shelves.

I played 2, and while I liked it more than the first I still didn't like the core system of tagging and shocking enemies, or ramming into them as copen and open firing with lock-on.

So what would you prefer here then?

The most surreal thing about those things is Copen himself behaving casual and somewhat friendly towards GV and other Adepts instead of trying to bloody murder them. It's pretty hilarious actually.

Luminous Avenger already has two (three if you count one being based of the Gemini) for Copen to shoot. And now one must wonder what Gunvolt 3 will bring. Also wondering how will the plot of ASG3 go. After the bittersweet ending of 2, it's going to be tricky to make a game without Joule/Cyan/Lumen/Morpho.

just found this thread after test emulating the first 3ds game for the first time. runs great but switch version of 1 and 2 are 60fps, and there's a new game coming?

seems like playing switch is better in general? looks like they removed the second screen. also the pc port has issues apparently

I got burned out trying to do the true ending in 1. It really wasn't as good as I was expecting. Like the visuals, the cheesy 00's anime feeling and aesthetic, but the levels were really bland and somewhat short, hardly any thought went into creating them. Megaman X had better levels.
At this point I don't think I'll bother with 2.

So if Gunvolt is X-Men, Sumeragi was the Mutant Registration Program and Eden was this serie's version of Magneto's Brotherhood of Mutants, then what will we get in the third game? A Sumeragi splinter group that are essentially U-Men led by not!Sublime? And yes, Sublime was a stupid concept.

2 is a visible upgrade. Takes everything good about the 1st game, polishes it and adds more.

You might be thinking of Mighty Gunvolt, which are spinoffs that play like MM. The main games are often compared to Mega Man Zero but I find hard to compare Gunvolt to other games, there's nothing quite like it, for better or for worse.
