>sword Saint
>final form includes naginata and gun
what the actual fuck? how can they get away with it?

I know his fighting style was "do whatever it takes", but it's hypocritical of him to label Tomoe as a heretic and then use her lightning techniques against you.

He refers to himself and the rest of Ashina as "heretics" as well. I think it's just a weeb way of saying "hipster"

>sword saint
>uses a glock
bravo miyazaki, you hack

is this a jojo reference?

He tried to just do sword against you on his first life bar and you fucked him up. So he's changing tactics.

Best game of 2019

Attached: 37474817y72.jpg (2560x1920, 1.79M)

I stopped playing at this part. Fucking four phase boss that I can't even beat the second phase, fuck off.
I think the part I hate the most about Sekiro is that the posture meter recedes. You can do really great but get hit by some OHKO attack and the entire posture bar that you filled up halfway through goes back to 0 while you do your respawning animation.
And don't tell me "dude just get their health down". At that point you may as well defeat the boss by just whittling its health down, which is the most boring, and yet the safest way to defeat everything in Sekiro. The concept of the posture bar being the most important thing is inherently flawed and only two bosses, Genichiro and Lady Butterfly, can work with it, and only because they both have long combos that you can block to get their posture up really high.

Attached: 1532292357244.png (640x400, 9K)

is it explained in game why he crawls out of genichiro's body?
i'm lost

because honor is a dumb fucking concept

based beyond belief

No____

So, pretty sure the fight against this guy was just his grandson "channelling" him, and metaphorical in its visuals. Dude is not only dead, but randomly young again? This is probably how his grandson viewed him.

mortal blade aka I ain't gotta explain shit nigga

Genichiro summons Isshin from the afterlife using the mortal blade
When people are brought back from the dead they are in their prime again

Git gud

Throw a shuriken at the boss if you see the posture recovers

Just don't die lol

why is every enemy faster than sekiro? literally fight even the basic of mooks and you will see that if you both start the attack at the same time, theirs will land first. also sekiro's sword range is terribly small compared to every enemy. also that input delay in a game requiring precision and accurarcy.

they gimped the player way too much in this game.

Sword Saint is a title for a extraordinary swordmaster. He can have that title and fight with his bare hands if he wants. He doesn't need to prove shit to you or Sekiro.

You're supposed to be aggressive as fuck. Just stay on the attack until you get deflected (there's a very distinct sound when it happens to you) and then get ready to deflect their attack, or mikiri/headstomp if they're doing a thrust/sweep attack. After you counter go back on the attack.

i hate people like you who think you deserve to criticise something despite not putting in even a fraction of the effort others did to overcome the challenge. Go play your cinematic garbage that gives checpoints every 2 steps

Hesitation is defeat

OH HOW MY BLOOD BOILS

Not every boss is supposed to be beaten with the posture bar, i remember this annoying me until i understood it too.
The more of a beast a person is, the more health damage you need to do to break their posture.
For example, ape; basially 100% health damage. bull, 100% health damage. animals.
Now trained, sophisticated fighters work much better at being posture broken. Any ninja, ashina of the seven spears, roberts father, etc.
Now you can use the rule like a sliding scale, and see who is more or less animalistic than others, Isshin starts off the very picture of a disciplined fighter, but once his blood begins to boil he slips into a more wild fighting style, he cannot help himself.
thats the way i view it through my autism vision (tm)

IKUZO SEKIROOOOOO

lmaoo my nigga lemme see your dmc 5 case

Except thats not true. Try fighting Owl this way, you might be surprised how much you can bully him.

Just because it's a challenge doesn't make it good. Sekiro is far closer to cinematic garbage than Bloodborne or Dark Souls anyway.

Of course

based black hand bro

based black man! make m'amboub'te for de witch docta he make de rein come.

>be respawning demon
>depopulate Japan because demon
>have a good run for maybe a few hundred years until some foreigners point something they call a "Gatling Gun"

i actually noticed those things while fighting owl on ng+4 charmless. Plenty of times, I will deflect his combos, close in, attack, but his shit lands first. Can't even land a hit on him unless im in his face cuz of the small range. I did beat him after an hour or so, but towards the end, it stopped being fun. Also tried fighting him aggressively deflecting all his combos and sometimes, the delay kicks in and nothing happens and instant death. maybe its the basedstation im playing on, but apart from those things and a buncha other crap, I liked sekiro 8/10.

まよえば やぶれる

This

Shura ending Isshin was the better boss and you can't argue otherwise.

>Not every boss is supposed to be beaten with the posture bar, i remember this annoying me until i understood it too.
Lady Butterfly is there specifically to teach you that lesson but people just don't pay attention.

thats my nigga..best 2 games of the year so far also RE2

>input delay
Im an idort so dont take this the wrong way but DONT PLAY SEKIRO ON PS4
I own both versions and even a month after launch it was fucking unplayable on ps4.

How do i motivate myself to beat the demon of hatred and double monkey before going to ng+? I already beat Isshin but those last two are such ridiculous pain in the ass encounters and i just skipped them until now.

Why is this game so good bros? It’s the best damn game in a long time and has set the bar for how to polish a game

Attached: F37E7336-CA10-452A-BB7A-8DBDCCC4BDC6.jpg (2846x1536, 861K)

Legitimately one of the greatest last bosses ever created.
Why is it so hard for devs to save the best one for last?

Just use the prosthetics you tard

Killing the headless monkey makes the other monkey just disappear. Play it super safe, take your time, and kill that white monkey.
As for the demon of hatred its just a fucking slog, no way around it. Get in close and treat it like a souls boss, make him attack past you.

Demon of Hatred is a beautiful boss to fight as long as you know how to dance with it. It’s all about rushing right up to it and making space between it and yourself on certain move sets. Then if you use the Malcontent whistle you can trivialize the entire third phase

Both of these games suck donkey sick bro. Destroy them and make way for death stranding and last of us 2.

based and BLACKEDpilled

Why is your Sekiro box still in its wrapping? Have you actually played it?

git gud

Double Monkey Trouble is honestly easier than the solo fight. White's second phase is way simpler to parry and using the spear on its stump does great damage. Additionally, you can bully the brown with firecrackers and kill it incredibly quickly, it's got surprisingly low health. Just be aggressive and you'll get through no problem.

No fucking idea about Demon of Hatred beyond I think using the umbrella, I "put if off until later" and haven't came back to the game since.

And of course it’s a soulsbrony

Death stranding seems like a weird type of game but at this point I play video games for about 23 years and I need weird games. Hopefully it has lots of fun gameplay because from what I seen it doesn't look like it.

I'm getting The Last of Us 2 day 1

Who said that you cannot enjoy both Japanese games and Western games it's just that this year Japanese games have dominated for my taste personally

>there will never be a legit 1v1 perfectly balanced final boss in a souls game

>DUDE GAEL IS JUST LIKE YOU BUT 3 TIMES AS LARGE AND SHOOTS LIGHTNING CROSSBOWS OUT OF HIS ASSHOLE FOR 3 PHASES WOW HES JUST LIKE THE MAIN CHARACTER

>DUDE HESITATION IS DEFEAT >*BANG*BANG*BANG*BANG*BANG*BANG

Attached: 1546232525410.png (238x344, 79K)

Demon of Hatred isn't worth fighting.

Just cheese him off the cliff.

Allant would like a word with you.
Also PvP you nig.

Stay ducking scrub. Isshin is the perfect boss and is incredibly fun to play. I beat him yesterday on my NG+2 run and it was satisfying and great to play. Didn’t even get stuck. Keep crying about some random move that pushed your shit in.

The cliff thing for Demon and Gyobu has been patched. Also he is worth it to fight for the soul memory so you can boost your attack power.

i think vergil in DMC5 was kinda better. Isshin is trivialized if you are even slightly good at deflecting and not playing charmless

Looks and plays so good

>tfw got tired of the game and used cheat engine for unlimited hp and max damage

Game is a lot more fun when you follow the Shinobi code of ethics, "Win by any means necessary"

Actually posture bullying her is waaay faster. I even beat guardian ape with posture bullying

Game is fun when you git gud as well, zoomer scrub

since when did you stop straight shitposting?

He never did

Who said i ever stopped shitposting?

Attached: 374847262837.jpg (2560x1920, 1.72M)

Answer my question nigtron why is Sekiro still wrapped?

The Demon isn't that hard, you just use confetti like with all aparitions. Then you have to stay close and be agressive, always chasing right after it but knowing when to back down a little. For example, if you jump backwards after its charge you can make it to it before it starts throwing fireballs; except on the second phase where it uses the fire wave, that one's harder to dodge up close.
Anyway it's a fun fight if you're not fucking up left and right.

ruggarell never shitposted? lmao

Never stopped I mean

Really? I beat him normally last week on PS4, but even on the latest patch he still gets stuck on the tree and you can jump onto the roof of the gate. Didn't try walking to the end of the roof because I wanted to beat him normally though.

You might be able to still jump up there but they made it so there bosses don’t route over to you

it just seems like there's more actual discussion then I remember in the past, rather than straight bait for the sake of it.

Learn to read, Isshin is a great boss. I'm saying these bosses absolutely are not on the same base skill level as the player character in the sense that you are able to do the same things.

Same with allant and shit. You cannot make a fucking AoE charge attack that covers the entire stage in Demon's Souls. That's something that only he specifically can do.

I'm saying the quality of the final boss could be that of the Bloody Crow of Cainhurst just turned up to 11 with actual music. Being on the same even level as your enemy makes combat much more enjoyable.

Attached: 1551073289428.png (1542x1080, 909K)

Is this game really all about timing parries?
I played for an hour and got bored

Yes. It’s about sword fighting

play other games then

can anyone here tell me whats the deal with the fucking giant rope guy? I thought it was hilarious but theyre gonna explain later or I can read about it in an item description but no, nothing, on my third run and still have no idea whats it all about

Why did you take a picture of your monitor?

Just a remnant of old gods and mythical beings like Mibu Village and the rest of Fountainhead. Coiled rope is also a spiritual symbol in Japan and temples, guarding stones, and other things can sometimes get annointed with a coiled rope dangling from it as a form of protection (kind of like holly branches in eastern and Southern Europe traditions and western occultism). I. Shinto these ropes protect from evil spirits and such. The ropes are called “shimenawa” in Japan and are beautiful sights. There’s some temples that have ropes that are as thick as Californian redwoods and sequoias and weigh over a ton.

Attached: 11401655-7879-4D42-BF4C-F6179E9CA636.jpg (1000x666, 269K)

Most “mirror match” bosses in games (let’s just call them that), usually have some moves and other advantages over the player so it’s never a 100% equal fight. The closest a game has ever gotten to a completely equal fight is Azel from God Hand and even then he has some advantages over Gene.

Case in point, Vergil from DMC has several ranged attacks movements and super moves that Dante has no equivalent for.

Learn to write more like cuz that’s not what I got from your post at all. Either way I understand your point but I sort of feel those kinds of fights turn out more underwhelming than you’d think. It’s nice to see something new and alien and overcome that. It’s more exciting I think.

A game that sort of did what you said was Metal Gear Rising with Raiden vs Sam but even then Sam had some other moves Raiden didn’t to spice things up

*dodges your sword*

Psst... Nothin personnel... Sekiro....

Sekiro is a celebration of Japanese culture and lore. You sort of have to know them already to appreciate the references. Just like how the whole journey to Fountainhead Palace (and the whole squid people that suck your youth thing) actually allude to Urashima Taro and other folk tales in Japan. Then there’s Isshin resembling Nobunaga, etc.

Just to add: even so, the world building within the game itself is spectacular and the lore they build up within it is done really well. Knowing Japanese culture and myths just gives you a greater appreciation for their inspirations

Have some respect for the late robin williams and don't make him a lesbian user.

Robin Williams should have respect for Japanese weapons before he makes a movie with a title that sound like one.

Wheres the best Souls game though?

Hands down, guns up, the best final boss From did to date.

posture rewards you for being good and makes the bosses really quick, health is there for scrubs like you who are too retarded to use basic defensive mechanics and keep their offense up

They were "heretics" because they worshipp3d the giant snakes and the Divine Dragon instead of Buddha and the Shinto Emperor

>final bosses just get better with each game they make

What did we do to deserve From

second phase is very doable. deflect the ashina cross slashes for a lot of posture damage. attack twice, expect counterattack. jump when he does sweeps. it's pretty straightforward.

Fuck off dmcuck

It’s an efficient game but much more polished than any other From game. All packaged in a nice 12GB download. It’s like a katana itself.

Heres a tip that i didnt realise when i first played.
Save him for last, beat the monkies at the bhuddist temple first, to gain your first damage upgrade, which will help you beat the monk in the mibu village, who will then give you another damage upgrade which will make the ape really easy. Honestly if you do it this way the monk is probably harder.

Attached: sword saint isshin.gif (480x320, 1.84M)

DSP beat Isshin after three attempts. You've missed something if you're still struggling.

Hesitation is defeat

the immortal blade was such awasted potential in this game, genichiro barely uses his and isshin doesn't have one

Isshin uses the Black Blade after he springs from Genichiro's neck. That's the one in OPs pic.

How do I achieve such an awe inspiring physique?

Eat rice, drink sake, and hunt rats while enjoying the fresh air.

>stuck on ape
>decide to explore the world
>stuck on ape and monk
Those damage upgrades make a huge difference though.

Hesitation is defeat.

First or headless phase?

If you parry him and make him fall over during the headless phase, shove the Spear prosthetic up his neck stump. it yanks the centipede out and does a pretty fucking absurd amount of health and posture damage to him.

Attached: Sword_Saint_Isshin.jpg (687x686, 88K)

>first playthrough

>2nd playthrough

What the hell is wrong with this game?

It teaches you to git gud. Also it promotes a "zen" mentality so that if you are frustrated and angry you will fail, but if you take a break and come back to it when you care less you will succeed just from the calm mind you have.

I just beat this guy not five minutes ago and I can really appreciate what a scrub buster he is. Bravo From. Lure people into a false sense of security, make them think they can just play hit and run forever, then crush their hopes at the last possible moment.
I mean look at . Isshin has stolen that user's soul. He will carry that weight for a long, long time

I also like how Genichiro goes from impossible to may as well be another mook tier.

Also note that on NG+ you have 4x as much attack power, 10x as many gourds, and 3x as much health.

I need the DLC RIGHT NOW.

If they added more variety to your playstyle, Sekiro would rival BB and DS1. Easy GOTY so far.

He didn't label Tomoe a heretic, his followers did. As far as I can tell anyway.

This game had the most satisfying combat system of all time. Once you got in the zone and were 100% focused it was something else. Actually felt like a dance.

No, they simply didn't want to be vassals of the Interior Ministry and wanted to retain their own freedom and culture of Snake worship and their Divine Lineage. The heresy itself was drinking from the Rejuvenating waters and also learning their combat ways (i.e. from Tomoe). Also the word "heretic" is used mostly in the conversation between Sekiro and Genichiro when Sekiro says "Heresy" to Genichiro's proposal of obeying another lord for Ashina, then Genichiro questions wether it's Heresy to fight for Ashina and he says he would even master the "heretical" arts (which Sekiro only simply referred to as "unusual" when speaking about it with Isshin).

This.

okay, not really planning on changing anyone's mind. just find it funny how much this game gets praised as the best thing ever.
sekiro was fun but the gameplay mechanics were pretty shallow, and the game was really easy. charmless + demon bell was the only time I had to plan for fights, aside from the headless ones.

The game was legit fun but really short and extremely repetitive. Also this once you get in the zone it's really something else.

>You are just being facetious out of some malice at this point.
why? because I don't find repetitive and extremely lax parry timing to be the best thing ever in a game? your webm is just the exact same 3 things repeated.combat art, attack, duck.
like I said, I enjoyed the game, but there are way better action games out there.

That webm is showing you how tight hitboxes are and the precision of the combat (look at the filename). There's plenty of other good action games out there, but it's not unbelievable at all to say that Sekiro is one of the best, if not the best. Again, you're just butthurt over something (perhaps a certain other From game you are a fan of?) and are acting sour over very legitimate statements.

I want the gaming industry to be better and continue to strive for better, and that's why giving merit where merit is due and not being a child about it is important.

Sword saint is the translation of the word "kensei" which in japanese is used to refer to extraordinarily good warriors. It need not specifically be connected to a sword or might be connected to a sword among other weapons. Keep in mind that samurai of the time did not generally fight open war with katana, so a "Sword saint" wielding multiple weapons is not at all odd.

That's what you get for taking mr "fuck you, anything goes" at his word

No kidding?

katanagatari is better than this trash
youtube.com/watch?v=kzJNYSwn0xA

Not to mention the first "kensei"/sword saint was Miyamoto Musashi who fought with two katanas and was a duel wielder, so he was technically a "swords" saint. So even for that guy the sword saint thing doesn't apply. And that's why you shouldn't try to make witty nitpicks over translations for things that aren't a part of your culture.

Many times in this thread and also by me: Sekiro is GOTY and one of the best games of all time.

Yes, there is a scroll near where Isshin hanged out at inside a chest. It explains there is a second mortal blade that is black. It bluntly puts that resurrection is possible and even brings them to prime form.

Reminder to dab on em

I'm wondering wether you've graduated high school or not.

double monkey is piss easy, beat it blind on my first try and damageless on ng3 charmless
posture break headless by deflecting his big wind up sword slam, and spam the shit out of firecrackers for the brown ape without even attacking, she'll take cumulative posture damage and you'll be able to deathblow her immediately
doh is all about learning his patterns, you'll never break his posture so feel free to go for hit and run tactics, albeit being aggressive also works

Is that the highest form of accomplishment you can think of? lol

no, just the highest I think you're capable of.

I can't explain the gun but the spear was sitting on the ground because that field is where Isshin killed that general in the opening cutscene, you beat his sword style so he improvised and grabbed the spear of his fallen foe which had been laying there for years

There is rhythm in all things once you get good. There is a rhythm in Counter Strike. There is rhythm in Burnout and Gran Turismo games. There is rhythm in Fight Night games. It's not really an observation that says anything. It feels more like an attempt at trying to debase something.

I gave up at the gorilla boss fight as I wasnt having fun with the game.

>got bored
*got tossed around like a little bitch by chained ogre
ftfy

Well yeah, he trained for many years to perfect his style. Old Isshin is fucking diseased. Prime Isshin is after the opening prologue of the game. He uses the same spear that the general was using. He probably got the gun some other time. Probably black powder fuckers or shit.

god damn fucker until i autistically memorized every time he was going to do it he killed me with that every time
unironically harder than sword saint for me

Thanks you’ll get there one day as well. I believe in you.

BRAVO FROM

Attached: mada mada.gif (480x270, 2.54M)

you tried.

I disagree. Finding the rythm in the fights is the core of Sekiro combat in a way it isn't for CS.

Could you not tell from the first trailer?

Finding rhythm is at the core of every game. In CS for example there is rhythm in knowing how to fire the guns without losing accuracy, how to rotate around the maps and use your positioning, and how to find rhythm in finding the right time to pop out of cover.

You can deduce everything as rhythm, which is why it's a meaningless description.

How much would it cost to buy some authentic Japanese armor like the one Seven Spears wears?

That's cheap. You got any on you bro?

I know. I'm still waiting.

yeah but the gameplay was actually satisfying instead of memorizing garbage combos

I am sorry Genichiro. I want Ashina to prosper as well but the Iron Code must be obeyed.

glad you got my meaning :)

>still trying to stir shit up because you don't like other people's opinions

Just go to the Bloodborne thread already. You don't belong here.

Someone shop isshin into that first of the north star dynamite screencap

sorry, man BB just has so many badass combos to memorize.

I mean, it's pretty common knowledge that Bloodborne was the high point of the series, and the game they'd always wanted to make. Sekiro was just a half-assed thing they threw out because they were obligated to to and it shows.

Haha called it. Seething and jealous little Bloodbronies. Always easy to pick out.

>badass combos
And none of them matter compared to r1 spam.

Don’t reply to Bloodbronies

Literally just beat Isshin with no prosthetics after taking a break from the game a couple months ago.

It's funny how much fucking easier this game gets when you just stop caring and turn on a podcast or something. The less you try to avoid dying the better you play.

Attached: Motivated.png (1280x836, 1.22M)

As opposed to just running around in circles and poking Sekiro bosses whenever they did a big attack.

Which is why they have so many moments showing Sekiro praying to Buddha. The game is literally trying to tell you to relax so you play better. It’s really well done and subtle story telling that actually works with your own experience.

People who got gud don’t play Sekiro like that fyi

As compared to just running around in circles and poking Bloodborne bosses whenever they did a big attack.

Well I beat the game fine doing that. Sekiro bosses were just incredibly underwhelming and boring as shit.

Maybe because you spent hours just circling them instead of learning to deflect and killing them within 5 minutes

>play the game in the most boring way possible out of fear
>don't enjoy it

Now you know how I feel about Bloodborne and the Souls series

Did Isshin actually kill himself?

He had cancer or something, he was terminally ill.

Isshin died of some sickness (dragonrot maybe? Although Emma would’ve said something about it), but it’s implied that Isshin committed seppuku or was stabbed in the gut laterally at one point but survived the ordeal. He had that scar on his belly both before and after resurrecting. The game doesn’t really say anything about it but I guess it just adds to the character more showing how strong his vitality and will to live and conquer was.

oooooommmmmmmm

Yes yes of course, no harm no foul Nigel.

I’m gonna do it.

I meant it Nigel. Now who needs a sticker?

shameless samefag

I got the feeling he grabbed his sword when the castle was attacked and got shanked by a ninja

who is nigel btw?

Yeah but when you see his dead body in Ashina castle there’s no blood. And Emma mentions Isshin succumbed to his illness. Also the scar is on Isshin before that as well (you can see it when you talk to him).

Some anglo

are both of you retarded? both bb and sekiro arent combo based games, this dmcfag is making you look like fools

Interesting, are there more of these?
I wanna see how Owl does against other bosses.

Emma is harder than Genichiro, imo.
Which is pretty embarassing for Genichiro, really.

Just run from scream, jump from perils, and parry the 2 hour telegraphed attack.

>durrr blocking and rolling is totally the same
Good luck spamming rolls bro, just activate the infinite stamina trainer beforehand, otherwise I don't see how this could work

Poison kick ninjas which evenutally become bosses or white monkeys

>implying there isn’t a posture system in Sekiro that prevents you from spamming block either

Maybe you missed the part where that post was making fun of the original post it was replying to?

Dont worry you can undo it whenever you want.

Dude, no joke, but he was pretty fucking easy and straightforward

>implying posture works in Sekiro
user next time you play try rapidly clicking L1 every time an enemy approaches. You'd be surprised

did the same until i realized that i had to block his attacks instead of eating his sword and running away

Yes, this doesn't work. Once you train in this game you are tapping L1 when the swing is coming in at you, and you try to tap it again in the same timing with their next swing. There's more than just spamming to it. This is how this game forces you to learn.

that legit was the only thing you had to figure out. that the guy should be blocked actively when he isn't doing the ichimonji or stuff you should dodge or mikiri counter.

>he doesn't play charmless

Attached: confused sekiro.png (477x269, 306K)

When you do a charge attack on Owl and he Mikiri counters you.

He's a Mist Noble

Do you guys think OOOOOOOOHHHHH THE Elden Ring will stand up to sekiro?

soulsfags will certainly like it more considering it will be more of an rpg than an action game

how should we even know

Not him but I took a pic of my keyboard. This myth seems plausible.

Attached: C81E9766-3BC5-4B78-B403-04D371F0C6E8.jpg (1930x1713, 559K)

I doubt you could even imagine it.
I'm expecting it to have very few beautiful places unlike sekiro, due to the whole intro saying the world is fucked.
The combat should be good, but I'm worried about the open world.

>there's other games out there that are more kino than Sekir-

Those straw hat guys around the temple with the twin blades.

Attached: Sekiro spear.webm (540x256, 836K)

Sekiro is a tech demo for Elden Ring.

They're just hard to fight in groups, but 1v1ing them seems easy as long as you have prosthetics/combat arts that help you close distance quickly since they like to flip over you and zip away from you quickly to throw shuriken at you. However for me those white dual wielding monkeys always gave me trouble.

Attached: Ape Raped.webm (1280x720, 1.94M)

>fan into flame vent
fuck how did I not think of that before

the poison lone shadows are rather easy once you get the parry timing right
and the white monkeys are extremely vulnerable to anti air

The nightjar when you jump onto the main castle are the worst, if it's the first time.

HhhhhoooOOOOOOOOO

People ignore the fan due to the slow windup
the ash+fan combo is broken

You can also use mist feathers as well for a similar effect. And if you add contact powder to mist feathers (giving yourself poison status), you can use mist feathers non stop without having to wait for an attack.

Attached: MistFeathers.webm (854x480, 2.62M)

I like when you're almost getting close to the top of Ashina Castle and all you hear are the whistling sounds of Nightjar ninjas communicating amongst each other. When I first heard the sound I couldn't tell if it was coming from the game or from outside.

Attached: awoooo.webm (1920x1080, 2.1M)

I cannot believe it has almost sold 4m copies.
Fucking based that from gets rewarded for doing something that was very much not a souls game.

That's cool as fuck.
I defininitely did not use Mist Raven enough, it seems broken if you actually use it correctly.

I'm glad too.

Attached: GenichiroFight.webm (854x480, 2.86M)

I just noticed that he's using his bow to perform his lightning attacks.

Genichiro has a reputation for being good with the bow. You can eavesdrop on some guards talking about how he's a menace with the bow and how Ashina will be protected by him (and Gyobu the Demon).

Did anyone else feel like the game peaks at thecutscene before Genichiro into Genichiro fight and mid-fight cutscene?

Wolf just feels insanely badass, facing Genichiro who defeated him once and feeling confident about it, and the way Kuro talks about how he believes in him just got me hyped to fight.

No, because Sword Saint Ashina exists all the way at the end.

That's the first peak. The second peak is definitely endgame Ashina. Heading out the window to see half the fucking castle on fire, with ministry soldiers torching people with flamethrowers is something else.
And from there you have the escape, Genichiro being nothing but a glorified speedbump despite his new sword, and the fight with Isshin. It's such a good ending, I can't name many games that are better

I liked it mechanically and stylistically but it didn't make me feel moved.

I agree that endgame Ashina is pretty good, makes you kinda side with the guys you initially were assassinating.

The real romance I would've wanted to know about was Orangutan (aka Sculptor) and Emma.

And also Isshin and Tomoe

Double monkey is actually really easy. Kite until headless ape screams, at which point brown ape will rush you and you can beat on her. Her health bar is small, and once she's dead headless ape is a nerfed version of the guardian ape's second phase version.

It's kind of funny how an old ass man hobbles around his kingdom killing Ministry jerks as a hobby

That's how it was done in the olden days.
