yeah, soulless charm perfectly sums this game up

It was good until it turned into an RTS.

oh no first post best post again who could've thought

It was always good

At the second level

The only really annoying RTS missions i found to be the ones where they force you build a specific unit to destroy a tower.
Though yeah, i also prefer everything else over the ther RTS parts.

It was a perfect average AA game. Nothing more nothing less. Was a really fun rental.

Can't lie. That moment gave me a boner.

I actually really like the idea of the RTS sections being a back-and-forth blend of third-person combat and RTS management.

I just think they're less interesting then the early hack-and-slash sections, and they don't have much room for strategy beyond spamming random units.

This game had potential such a fun play through, loved the art style shame it got cut short and the ending was just slapped in.

I wish there was a way to get a rerelease of this with all the cut content. The third area where you finally go to the demon’s realm would have been amazing

It really deserves a Director's Cut of sorts, that fleshes out the world a bit more.

Should have been a simplistic hack-n-slash from beginning to end, instead of a crappy RTS. Nothing else in the game came close to the Metal Queen.

i wouldn't have minded the rts parts if
1) they were a bit more in-depth instead of 'make the big unit to clear the way'
2) if the difficulty spike in the last few wasn't so fucking high.
if this had just been a hack and slash game, it'd have done much better.

Tim was prototyping a sequel where you did go to the Demon realm and your guide would be a character played by Ronnie James Dio. Never came to be unfortunately. Dio was supposed to be Lord Doviculous originally but he told Tim the character didn't fit him but he'd be up for a sequel.

>Brytal Legend
Fuck does that mean?

This was one of those games that I saw was deeply discounted and thought "hey, for $7 I'll give it a shot." Next thing I know I was at the ending and 30 hours had passed (spent some time getting the dragon statues). Pretty fun game. Not a great game, but if you can get it for less than $10 its a steal.

Yeah, I found it in a bargain bin after the fact as well and enjoyed it quite a bit for what I paid. Shame we probably won't get a sequel.

It reminded me of Sacrifice, which I loved.
But I thought it was pretty charming, but no replay value whatsoever and the PvP was trash

Prequel would rock

I usually really dislike prequels that have nowhere new to go from what we already know, but Eddie's father becoming a time traveling warrior and falling in love with the demon emperor sounded great.
