Guys i want to play a rpg with a good athmosphere.
I know fallout 76 had a really rough start. As far as I know though, it has gotten much better now.
is the game any fun with a variety of gameplay missions and is the athmosphere any good?

Fallout New Vegas gets that wild west atmosphere.
I played 76 a few days ago since people wouldnt stop talking about how good itd got now. I went to an event and a load of those mutant crab things spawned and just stood there while i shot them. Apparently this was enough to beat the event and it gave me some items that made my inventory full. This all happened at about 25 fps with constant stuttering for some reason. Then it crashed.
Its shit.
It's bad no matter how you look at it, even now. You're just looking for an excuse to buy this game because you want it, you will stick to any single positive post. Fuck excuses, don't waste our time. If you want to buy the game - buy it and have fun.

You know there have been fires burning off into space since the beginning, and you know that they've gone into hibernation. And you know there are two types of space travel: ones for exploration and these for profit. In Fallout New Vegas a rogue space trader named Caesar has set up base off the coast of the Mojave, and so far has put himself in a position of strength because he can control both sides in this conflict. If you've ever taken some modded Fallout, you know his ship is a giant super jet fighter called the Zephyr, and he's using some of its crew to fly around his space station, killing and plundering everything that moves on his ship. If you take any other modded Fallout game, and try to fly around on a super jet, it's just plain annoying. But with Fallout New Vegas, you can fly around, while still doing great damage to everything along the way. And since there aren't really any other spaceships to drive up to, you can spend your time on your own ship and make your own little empire. All you need is the fuel. And when you take those fuel cans, you can keep flying and taking your time. And it's worth it...
Fallout 76 is barely an RPG, calling it that would be ridiculous. If you liked Fallout 4 then it's pretty much the same thing but as an online survival game like Rust or ARK. If you want an actual good RPG game with a good atmosphere, you can just look at the previous mainline Fallout games except for 3 and 4.

Yes it's good. Don't believe the zoomers who have never played the game that get their opinions from their favorite meme youtubers. The game is no more or less stable than any other bethesda game at this point, you'll see funny shit occasionally but it's perfectly playable. It's much better than Fallout 4 in every way. All of the stuff they removed from that game was shitty anyways, the levelling system, crafting system, gear, camps, enemy variety, weapon mods, everything that actually matters is all there. Play on the survival mode and PVP becomes a non issue because everyone isn't visible to everyone else on the map. You'll encounter one or two other people for every several hours you play as long as you're not in the starting zone. It's basically singleplayer but with actual dynamic events because of the occasional human encounter. The multiplayer is fun too if you have a friend you can convince to join you.
I came here to say Fallout 76 sucks. That is all.

not RPGs, but Furi and Shadow Tactics BotS are fairly recent and really good games though. Underrail too, but it's a cRPG not an aRPG.
They have improved it a great deal. It still sucks.
