I just gave up fighting against the bugs, freezes and, if I'm remembering right, crashes as well. I've been thinking about giving it another chance recently. Should be much easier now that all games of that era require a VM anyway.

>ywn be an 8 year old colonizing natives in the new world again.

Feels bad man.

I lost my ability to appreciate any Civ clone (and the Civs themselves) after discovering MoM.

That's one of those games where the entire population of Poland played it and noone else.

It was fine.

This game was fucking weird.

Attached: dreams.jpg (451x640, 29K)

I remember it being pretty good.

Fucking Shadowflare. It was a Chinese Diablo 2 clone where you had a dog companion. Was a bad game but pretty “comfy” iirc

Fucking Ore No Roymi 2

Attached: ONR2header[1].jpg (640x480, 278K)

>hack-n-slash RPG fighting
This game pretty fucking based.

Platypus, ey.
I only know about it because it showed up on Steam randomly.

I played it a lot on wildtangent. There are so many games I wish I could remember the name on there

Mushroom Wars for the PlayStation 3

Attached: file.png (1280x720, 1.45M)

Attached: K240-screenshot.png (330x216, 9K)

I played it again last year, it aint that hard, just go to the old chinese master to teach you the kick attack

more like games that you wish they where good but aren't

The voice acting was pretty funny too

Q.A.D: Quintessential Art of Destruction

Attached: QADFC.jpg (2209x2846, 561K)

You misunderstood. Hard as in not getting too annoyed by the game fucking up and dying, not as in gameplay difficulty.

I think it was pretty great

ah, I know what you mean, savescumming is your best friend in that case

James Cameron's Avatar: The Game

Was actually pretty damn interesting, you had to side with either the humans or the blue people and you had special powers and shit. The areas were pretty damn beautiful at the time, too. I wish they did a sequel to it. Lots of potential in that franchise for videogames. Even more so than movies, in my opinion.

That looks pretty interesting, how many classes does the game have?

Dominant Species

Attached: DomSpecFC.jpg (2173x2776, 1.47M)

Not sure because it was a looong time ago, but weren't there bugs that could subtly break something but not be apparently visible? So it you saved it would essentially fuck up your progress because it wasn't normal to have unlimited save slots back then?

Attached: Game.jpg (1600x800, 315K)

Played the hell out of this. Lock is unironically one of the best rpg protags I've ever seen.

Now, picrelated is the true hardcore level.

Attached: hqdefault (5).jpg (480x360, 17K)

It wasn't a civ clone at all. You played as any one of the famous age of sail explorers. Captain Cook, Amerigo Vespucci, Christopher Columbus, etc. You started off with a tiny ship and utilized trading, exploration and being a privateer to earn gold to buy more supplies, bigger ships. The further along you got you could start new colonies, build mines and make absolute dosh. If you didn't donate to the church enough, or did negative things in the eyes of the church you would be excommunicated and wouldn't be able to return home.

It was a pretty content dense for a game made 1995.

Attached: Exploration_Coverart.png (220x252, 82K)

What game? Looks comfy

I love that a random piece of trash item you get at the first stage will net you the most powerful item if you keep finding the people that wants you to trade for it. Anybody remembers what's the term for this? A term for eventually trading a small valued item, which would eventually net you a much larger valued item?

Attached: 51F3ZJE8K7L._AC_SY400_.jpg (394x400, 35K)

The Iron Man movie game was good too, if I remember correctly. Was pretty fun flying around, setting terrorists on fire and blowing them up with rockets. Being able to upgrade your suit was pretty neat, as well

I dont think there were any, only problems I had were the crashes but maybe I am just lucky

I played a mobile game version, are you talking about the same one? I dont think anyone played THAT version

MADSPACE

Non-Euclidean geometry gimmick

Attached: MADSPACEFC.jpg (2244x3071, 2.55M)

PS3 version

So many good games to pick from

Can't wait till it's finished

Fortune Cookie

planetary conquest was hard as balls in that game man

I bought it this year and having a decent fun.
I have played it, had it from some bundle on Fanatical or something

Attached: Mace_Griffin.jpg (250x355, 27K)

O skurwesyn! Grałem w demo

Thanks

Okay faggots help me out.
>Probably early/middle 3-D graphics era
>3rd PP, gameplay, (Not exclusively) looked like arena combat (Maybe other gamemodes as well)
>Grim and dark setting, some wizardbro looking guy shooting green fireballs(I assume?)

This is the game I've been looking for for many years with no success, it's still stuck in my childhood memories.

Wasn't this the game Cook Serve Delicious was based on?

O.D.T?

also

Attached: DSO-pcksht-Xbox-final-US.jpg (1605x2255, 522K)

I remember if it's the game about bunch of cops with a huge fem-android

is it good? Looking at the cover it looks like a risky investment

What platform

At first impression I thought that was it, it was more of dark-fantasy setting.

Thanks for the help tho, the game looks interesting.

The platform is PC btw.

Ok man, you got it lucky, but what about THIS?!

Attached: 996405532.jpg (480x457, 76K)

It's been a long time since I played but it's a decent space sim, it's probably next to nothing to buy if you can find it

With your description its far-fetched but maybe Sacrifice

tf2 hats depression

Sacrifice I know and remember well, but thanks for trying to help.

Well done, my man!
But
I've prepared something speshul too

Attached: 97379155.jpg (540x720, 57K)

Enclave?

Spellforce?
Darkened Skye?

I don't remember it very well, but I was really disappointed once I discovered everything boils down to drowning everything in highest tier tanks. Disruptors they were called, I think.
Playing as humans was like its own difficulty, though. Was there a difficulty setting, actually?

Ok, you think you're tough huh? I can do this all day

Attached: maxresdefault.jpg (1280x720, 88K)

zelda.gamepedia.com/Trading_Sequence

No, but it looks very similar.

Neither one.
Thanks for the help though.

Die by The Sword
Deathtrap Dungeon
Nightmare Creatures

Is this Oni with a male mod?

Attached: file.png (220x271, 144K)

I think we're getting somewhere, Deathtrap Dungeon sparked a memory, those two games were together on a demo disc, I'm pretty sure!

>Alchemist/Wizard dude throwing/casting some green glowing shit.
>Multiple (2/3, or more?) characters to choose from
>Definitely Deathtrap Dungeon aesthetic

can i touch your dragon

I was hoping for it and it's a fighting game, just not as good

Attached: hqdefault.jpg (480x360, 24K)

Hexen 2?

Is it the sequel? Or whatever that other one was. Because it looks a lot like TV but the UI is a bit different and I'm pretty sure there were no structures like that one.

Hey mold man, how is THE MOVER coming along?

How does it compare to Colonization? Either OG or FreeCol or the Civ IV version?

No, I didn't even know there was a sequel lol

Looks like Fury3

3rd person perspective for sure.

is there a Master of Orion Clone where the ground combat was more detailed?
I remember playing sth. akin to MoO2, with the same races, but also different.
When i got the GoG version of MoO2 it looked too 3D - i remembered it way more colorful, like Warcraft 2

I miss the days when you only had the box art to inform you whether or not a game was good and it was always an utter gamble. Luckily one of the games I bought as a child because I liked the box turned out to be one of the best games I've ever played.
This one, to be precise.

Attached: Aidyn_Chronicles-_The_First_Mage_game_cover.jpg (256x181, 21K)

Correct :^)

That game was kino as fuck

Heretic 2

Dunno seen it in Zelda games the most

Attached: neng.jpg (351x500, 35K)

I could post heaps of old, obscure atari games, like drakkhen, dragon's breath, bloodwych etc.
But of modern games the two that I really like but have NEVER seen discussed, like EVER are pic related, and..

Attached: images (9).jpg (739x415, 19K)

The fuck is this?

Necropolis got a bunch of threads on release.
People were disappointed with it and then the devs abandoned it. There's nothing more to say.

Attached: 300px-Psi5cover.jpg (300x412, 48K)

Why don't they make games even remotely close to obi these days? This game holds up rediculously well

Attached: proxy.duckduckgo.png (280x357, 249K)

Also this.
Which I'm co op ping through with my mates currently and thoroughly enjoying.

Attached: images (8).jpg (616x353, 46K)

It was a real game, it was shit but it came out

I just remembered that there was no exact term but it was based on Straw Millionaire. I remembered that I first learned about in Hyouka.

It's a notsequel to Terminal Velocity. It shouldn't be hard to understand my confusion:

You are like a little baby. Watch this.

Attached: maxresdefault (3).jpg (1280x720, 131K)

>a Master of Orion Clone
No. Imperium Galactica 2, however, is the pinnacle of the genre.

good game about Mesoamerican Civilization

Attached: 3075original[1].jpg (430x322, 20K)

Cool but ugly indie game. Story isn't finished and after 5-6 hours you just roam around taking random mission but there is a lot of potential.

Its Mass effect X XCOM X Freelancer.

Attached: hqdefault.jpg (480x360, 33K)

Gonna throw in Crusaders of Might and Magic into the pot just in case.

I'll look into it, thank you for your expertise

Both it and 1 are top tier.

Never played colonization desu. I can't really compare it to a civ game. It was more lile Starsector, but set in the Age of Sail. I haven't played it in damn near 17 years or so.

My dad thought I would like it since I watched the show with him occasionally. Had some decent minigames.

Attached: 220px-Deadliest_Catch_Alaskan_Storm_cover.jpg (220x317, 28K)

Is it any good? Looks cute.

think i saw one dude mention it on here before, a while ago

Attached: tzar.jpg (480x360, 31K)

Your dad is cool.

If you like story driven games and puzzles, Id say give it a try

played it once and never touched it again

Attached: Super_Bubble_Pop.jpg (256x363, 34K)

Still one the best stories in any rpg i ever played

Attached: maxresdefault.jpg (1280x720, 87K)

So many memories.

Attached: gbox.jpg (640x640, 85K)

Well colonization is a pretty comfy colony management 4X. The goal is to declare independence from your homeland but when that happens they WILL wreck your shit.

I only had the demo of that but I played it nonstop.

which gobbo game is this?

Oh hell yeah dog.
Picked up the PC version again on GoG a while back, and I'm pleased to see the controls are just ass garbage as I remember. Maybe one day I'll go hunting for a mouse support mod.

It doesnt feel like it, but I am glad to see people have also played it

great game

Attached: Romancing Walker.png (320x240, 18K)

absolutely, the combos and the finishing moves were fantastic

Aw ye. Loved it. Found this one to be way better than the sequel. Dunno, something about the second one just didn't sit right with me for some reason.

Man, the multiplayer really shines in Nox.

Heaven and Hell

Attached: heavenandhellcdvd_2.jpg (800x600, 147K)

Kino.
Glad I have an xbox one to replay this gem.

Played it. A classic. 5/5 atmospheric.

There's two of them, Fury3 and Hellbender

Attached: archimedean-dynasty_23[1].png (640x480, 133K)

what a great game it was

It exists

Attached: Spin Jam.jpg (226x223, 22K)

Started it several years ago, realized it's going to take a lot of time without major interruptions and put near the top of backlog.

This game is a fucking masterpiece.

Attached: original-war.jpg (1024x768, 179K)

I remember this game. This was a fun game.

everyone played those niggas

Attached: alley cast.jpg (854x480, 60K)

I fucking wish you were the only one who played that.
Piece of unfunny garbage. If Borderlands' writing met Final Fantasy VII's gameplay, what a winning fucking formula.

It always gets mentioned in the RTS hugbox threads. What makes it so great?

Attached: Clash.jpg (700x525, 140K)

Why did you post a game everyone and their shitty cat played in the nineties?

because everyone played the games it was a reply to

Several things.

1. The campaign is... actually good for a RTS game.
2. Each character is... a character. You manager named individuals who each have their own skillset at the start and you can mold them to be what you need them to be. You don't manage armies, you manage groups of individuals.
3. Your people are fragile and you need to keep them save. If you lose one, he's gone forever.
4. The distinct factions feel distinct.
5. You can make nukes and nuke the shit out of your enemies.

But really, get a cheap copy of the game and play it yourself. From the first moment you play the american campaign you FEEL what the game is supposed to be about.

You are like little babies. Watch this.

Attached: Amazing_Island.jpg (267x372, 27K)

What about this one? Anyone remember the Angelos brothers?

Attached: metal_fatigue.jpg (960x960, 260K)

I did not. Not one of them. I've read about Anachronox in magazines several times and once or twice about Myth.

A streamer played this in front of 3000 people, it aint that unknown now

Flying torso + flying legs + energy guns = best anti-air in the game.

Blessed

I played this shit. I didn't have a lot of GC games and my bro hogged the PS2 so I ended up playing this a lot, but I never played it for more than like 30 minutes at a time. Fucking terrible.

good times

I had this one. I hated it.

Attached: 794_front.jpg (640x784, 99K)

I remember seeing it in one of the first game magazines I got and agreeing with its half star score.

user, I'm not judging or anything, but...
What are you gonna do to all those dead girls?

Attached: 1376012601214.jpg (1024x768, 180K)

Oh shit yes! I always played with elite pilots and put them in Neuropas flying Combots just because it looked rad, even though they do nothing for ranged weapons.
Ten pennant-flying bots with dual sniper lasers harrassing enemy bases from the fucking sky, shit was hilarious.

Marrow is relatively famous actually

Combot air battles were amazing. Also this game has some excellent for stationary artillery.
And the three layer concept is still collecting dust on the shelves. The only other ones who did anything similar are Earth 21xx series and Armies of Exigo.

I liked it, but it was kinda unbalanced and either really hard or really easy

Attached: capsule_616x353.jpg (616x353, 113K)

What is the name of this game please

I tried but I was too casualty

Inquisitor. Also known as potion chugging simulator until you become the fist of god and get the spells to smite ALL the heathens. Then it's fun.

Thank you user.

Yeah, there were a lot of cool concepts in that game.
Too bad Skirmish always ends up with you owning the entire overworld and having to grind down the enemy underground with eight million ridiculous tanks.

This and Lula 3D have a strange cult following in Germany.

Underground usually ends up for me with establishing a turret perimeter with workers on patrol (for repairs) behind it and slowly digging out everything else because the AI is going to dig out everything anyway.

It has this comfy vibe. I don't really miss it, though. Wasn't Lula modelled after Pam Anderson?

Honestly, usually I don't even bother.
Just like chasing submarines in Red Alert, it'll take a goddamned year, and there's no way they'll win anyway.
Might as well just abandon game and claim strategic victory.
