during my first play through, of course i heard it a bunch of times. that doesnt have anything to do with the annoyance of the character though

There's a very good reason for this. One, his plan is still basic as fuck and he needs a shit ton of money to keep his cult going-- When Leon said "You're small time", he WASN'T KIDDING.
Compared to the big boys like umbrella they're literally peasants, and their plots a very slow one-- basically just infect people in power over time to gain power and throw the world into dissarray. They need money for the long term since they don't have BOWs to sell.

Second, by the time they start going all out, Leon's figured out that she's infected and that ruins the plan: they wanted to send her back WITHOUT the government knowing, so she could do, I don't know, fucking something (Like, the plan would make way more sense if ganados had a way to infect others so it'd look like a way to get to the pres).

But If leon takes her home then he'll tell them "look, she's infected with a super deadly parasite that mind controls you" and that basically makes the entire plan worthless.

You got a chapter out of it. Granted it was all jumpscares and slide puzzles though.

didn't the ganados in that one movie have a means of spreading the infection? maybe they meant for that to be in 4, but had to leave it out for some reason.

Resident evil 8 should be about Yandere ashley pissed about Leon rejecting him and causing a giant bio terror attack just to try and get him to save her/and or kidnap him to make him her love slave once he figures the shit out.

I honestly think Ashley adds a lot to the game.
Leon is practically a god in RE4. By himself, there's very little tension. Ashley forces the player to actually pay attention to their surroundings/positioning and adds tension. And mechanically she is (for the most part) quite consistent and fair. She follows you at an even pace, she ducks if she's in the way of your aim, she obeys your commands, and the game generally gives you a good window of time to save her if she gets captured.

Those were the more advanced plagas that were seen in RE5. They were ingested directly and took possession of the host body immediately. The first-gen ones in RE4 had to be injected while still in the eggs.

Those were ones that had been Modified by Bioweapons companies to do that and were different from the strains used by the Los illuminados.

The infectees of them (except for the one infected with a queen one) lost all higher brain functions and were basically zombies that shambled around and couldn't do jack shit but be dumb retards.

They got the advantage of spreading the infection, but lost literally every single advantage that made ganados different from Zombies.

Ironically, I think the ones in 4 could be seen as more advanced despite lacking the bells and whistles.

Ganados seemed more intelligent, and intelligence, not just control is a big plus for a weapon. Ganados could easily be given guns or other weapons, while 5's infectees didn't look capable of more than melee weapons due to their brutishness.

Their master-slave control ability has been incorporated directly into the viruses now. They name-dropped the Illuminados in Vendetta as an excuse to justify Leon's presence in the movie, but the parasites themselves are obsolete.
