Both those games added to the Quake formula in terms of depth and gameplay. TF2's rocket jumping is far more complex than Quake's. Easily. Halo might not stroke your epeen as hard but it is still fun casually with a wide variety of mechanics

It's like actual IRL boomers that want you to believe everything from their childhood was amazing. A normal, healthy person can see the pros and cons but Quake-fags are so obsessed with their epeen to where it is the only thing they have towards their identity.
