But what does it do?

lol pot

IT

I still don't get the pot of greed joke.

In the anime they kept repeating its effect every single time they used the card which lead to memes.

Nobody gets the joke since nobody knows what the card does.

The anime constantly repeats almost every episode what pot of greed does

Nigga you can't skip the summon ritual

That's dumb, they repeat effects of everything. Why only pot of greed?

Because Pot of Greed is not only the most simple card, but it's also the most commonly played card, being used by the writers whenever they've written Yugi into a corner.

I swear to fuck YGO cards have more text than image these days.

>these days

Because it's literally one of the simplest effects, even back then. You just draw two more cards.

Because it's effext is just
>Draw 2 cards
That's it nothing more it's not complicated like the Golden Castle of Stromberg

Let's have some fun Yea Forums.

To my understanding playing Pot of Greed doesn't end your turn, so before rules were implemented people just stacked their decks with pot of greed and good monster cards. You either draw a card you want, or you draw a pot of greed, then you play the pot of greed, and either get more cards you wanted, or more pots of greed, until you bottom out your deck.

If this has pendulum or xyz then it can't be considered a good game at all.

Your understanding is wrong since you could only every have 3 of any one card

This is why it is a banned card now.

>before rules were implemented

Pot of Greed was limited to 1 per deck. If your local players were using more than 1 they were cheating.

>you can only have three
>you can only have one
does this game even have official rules or are you all just watching the show trying to figure out what you're actually meant to be doing with them

There was a rulebook in the very first starter decks

But if you don't run pots of greed then instead of drawing a pot of greed at the start of your turn to help you draw into cards you want, you just draw a card you want?

Are you implying that there was a time where you could have more than 3 of a single card in a deck? If you are then you are incredibly stupid.

>not liking Xyz summon

Certain cards were always limited. Like Blackhole and Monster Reborn.

I'm sorry, I did say to my understanding. I don't keep up with ripoff Pokémon clones

Synchro >= Xyz > fusion > Pendulum > tribute > ritual

Because its card text is literally 6 fucking words.
Also every asshole uses it because it's a broken as fuck card and there's literally no reason not to have it in your deck.

>yugioh is too complicated for the regular Yea Forums users
No wonder why people here get so triggered by cards with more than 5 words.

Everyone knows what the Golden Castle of Stromberg does. Still don't understand what Pot of Greed does though.

I just think the rules should be less complicated for a children's card game.

The rules aren't complicated at all. 6 years old kids can play modern yugioh.

You literally read the card from top to bottom and do the effects in sequence (if there are any). It doesn't get simpler than that senpai

6 seems a bit old? I thought this was aimed at a younger audience.
