2010-13 was a mess
2014-2019 was a rollercoaster of incredible highs and incredible lows

Good start, shit middle. decent latter third

10/10

>Good start
Holy hell this generation had one of the worst starts in video game history.

user this generation had one of the worst starts of any generation
it just got better and better as it went on, and peaked just before it ended

Why is reddit knight on there?

Why were you conceived?

Remove Spider-Man and Ace Combat 7 and you have a decent 3x3

>Remove Ace Combat
Faggot.

7th console gen was the last even worth owning, the handhelds held out a little longer. 2014 was the last year with soul and it's been downhill from there.

2010 and 2017 were the only good years

Pretty shit, with a few gold flakes in it.

The entire game was cringy weeb bait.

I feel like you tried to intentionally pluck two of the worst years in gaming. 2010 which was renowned for its drought and awful E3, and 2017 which had a few noteworthy games but nothing else.

And that's why it's fun.

I waned a serious flying game with no story. What I got was a game were you just so happen to fly a plane but it's about anything except that.

What years do you think were the best this decade then?

>I waned a serious flying game with no story
So why the fuck did you play Ace Combat, a series renowned for being an arcade flight game with crazy plots about super weapons and coked up Japanese ideas of chivalry and knight-like duelling with aircraft?

>I wanted a hyper realistic military sim
>So I played Metal Gear Solid

terrible for AAA. the constant push for cutting edge fidelity and astronomical budgets is limiting the number of games and discourages risk taking. you could probably cut the budgets in half for a lot of these games by simply getting rid of all the movie shit.

that entire shit is stupid. it should be about planes

Worst decade for video games ever. It's telling that one person made a better video game than multi-million dollar companies with thousands of experts working togetehr.
Even the 1970s was better for gaming. Let's face it, the only way we can make things better is if there's a complete paradigm shift.

good, with some incredible potential ruined by retarded consumers supporting games and publishers with horrible business models

These are the best 9 games to come out this gen. Prove me wrong.

Go play Flight Simulator or something.

>God Tier
2018

>Good Tier
2019 (so far)
2017
2016

>Shit
Everything else

Didn't TLG have terrible controls?

>Nier Automata
>The Last Guardian
You absolute dredge of society.

>2016
Seriously? 2010 was way better.

Pretty accurate pic. There are a couple more that I'd add, but you did say 9 best of this gen, and not 9 only good games this gen, so it's cool. I'm also glad that you added Gravity Rush 2 because I do genuinely believe that it is one of the games of the generation/best exclusives on the PS4

it is a flight simulator

Some of my favorite games have come out this decade but at the same time not as many games this decade have become my favorite as had the ones the decade before. It's been both a disappointment and a good decade. Some remakes, some reboots and some sequels have taught me that there will never be games like the ones I feel in love with all those years ago.

Kind of got progressively better. Early 2010s were mostly shit.

>MHW
If this was a pic for this generation, then whatever since there are only two this gen, but if it's for the decade, then that's definitely nowhere close to the best MH since 2010

>Ace Combat
>a flight simulator

what in 2018 could've beaten the games we got in 2019 alone

I don't recognize no. 3 or 4 but it's a solid list, if a little FromSoft centric.

I'll wait for the PS5 to play TLG, game runs like fucking shit even on the Pro

It was quite shit and almost hit rock bottom after 2014. E3 2015 gave hope for the future, and then 2017 is the start to what could be a renaissance of good games.

>Red Dead Redemption 2
>God of War
>Monster Hunter: World
>Spider-Man
>Tetris Effect
>Forza Horizon 4

They're the notable releases.

I like this generation compared to the 360/PS3/Wii Era if that's what you're asking.

2010 had:
Fallout: New Vegas
Halo Reach
Bayonetta
No More Heroes 2
Fable 2
SMT: Strange Journey

>3
Xenoblade 2
>4
NieR

>Meh
>Shit
>Okay
>Okay
>Shit
>Good
Not a great lineup tbqhwyf

>Bayonetta
That's 2009, mate, just off the cut off criteria.

i agree. there's hardly anything last gen worth going back to.

Don't forget Super Mario Galaxy 2

january of 2019 kinda has that one beat

It was a January 2010 release everywhere that isn't Japan

New Vegas saved this decade

Make a new video already you lazy fuck

>retards can't tell the difference between a console generation and a decade

huh?

You forgot Red Dead Redemption.

Why the fuck is nier in this 3x3 it's a ps3 game

>I can't read

2019
Amazing start, slow middle. Will have to wait to see how it ends
2010, 2011, 2015, 2017
great years, lots good games.
2012, 2013, 2016
Mediocre but some gems
2014
Worst year in gaming history

Forgot 2018. It belongs with the mediocre years.

So nothing

nincel spotted

fable 2 came out in 2008
