There was a free Visual Novel game that played exactly like BR.
Extremely old, way before Dangan and all that kinda stuff.
You were part of a class and you were on an island and started out with a random weapon, there was a pretty cool battle system, you could pick and choose who to kill, etc.
I forgot the name unfortinately and now if i google "battle royale game" i'm just gonna get swarmed with fortnite cancer so i can't really look it up.

The randomized loadouts and explosive collars based on danger zones are what I really want to see. Most BR games just go the pussy route of slowly killing you if you're in the danger zone instead of having the balls to just flat out insta-kill you with the collars like in the Manga. Would make for some butt clenching moments in an actual game if it was made today.
