They're normally so good about calling things exclusives even when they aren't, they have so many "console exclusives" that its hard to keep track of which "exclusives" the PS4 has that AREN'T just fucking multiplats or ports of multiplats

Kamen Rider: Climax Fighters isn't Playstation exclusive at all, though. It got an updated rerelease called Climax Scramble which is exclusive to the Switch.

Don't certain studios, especially first party studios, patent the instruments they create and use?

Until Dawn also uses the Decima, and Supermassive is a third party studio.
