I've enjoyed plenty of all of those genres, made sure to try the titles everyone raved/memed about as well, just didn't find any of them as enjoyable as the ones I mentioned before I hit the wall

/m/an here. My other hobby is scale modeling and painting. You should consider it too since there's a bit of Yea Forumsidya models to build for one, and there's something for everyone. Tanks, airplanes, spaceships/scifi, mecha. It's really relaxing and you don't need painting skills either nowadays since most modern models are snapfit and plastic is somewhat well color separated depending on company/price point.

I dunno if they ever reissued them, but if you like Zone of the Enders for instance, kotobukiya made some awesome kits of Jehuty, Anubis, and Vic Viper. Check into the hobby sometime. I know quite a few people who play vidya and pickup the hobby.

I don't understand how you can live alone and be bored. I have been completely alone for about 10 years and I am very fucked up, but I have never been bored. If I want to do something I just do it. I don't have to wait on anybody.

Okay. Read Hunger by knut hamson. Its a book where the protagonist is an egotistical, poor writer and compulsive liar with nothing going for him. Genuinely entertaining book. I wouldn't call it sad though.
