I mean, OP was right. The game really has no good ending no matter how you slice it. Like no matter what your actions are in the game you'll end up getting some kind of bittersweet or somber ending.

I liked the god girlfriend ending. Only the defeated incel ending was sad to me.

Not really, there's a ton of useless humans, like the hikki loli you can only recruit on a specific day at a specific time and still turns out to be useless due to her "shitty stats and weapon, but turns into a powerful magical girl idol at night" thing, basically only , Flora and Miranda are good, everyone else is either mediocre or outright bad, and the worst part is that you need to recruit everyone (meaning you either grind them to a certain level, get them a specific item or complete a sidequest for them) if you want to get the actual good characters: the guild leaders. Monster route offers a ton of strong attackers and good healers right off the bat, and iirc none of them have downsides/dumb gimmicks.

If you got at least a i5, 3~4GB video, and 8GB ram you can play it pretty decently.
This game and Raw Danger at first literally made my PC freeze or BSOD due to emulator going apeshit trying to run it at the high resolution I emulate other games, but after decreasing it I can now play it at stable 60 FPS even in the big battles.
It just happens that this game is one of the few PS2 games that use some kind of weird technology that the emulator cant handle for whatever reason.
In Raw Danger its the water that destroys the FPS but that also can be kinda fixed.

Radiata Stories was one of the few games that managed to be funny all the time without trying too hard. It was also my first experience in a game with recruitment mechanics which I've come to appreciate a lot in games

I loved how going with the obvious asshole choice at the halfway point of the game actually gives you the absolute funnest gameplay experience. You get to chill for the rest of the game in the huge ass fucking town and recruit all the badass characters. Doing the good boy choice outcasts you into shithole elf fort with trash characters for the rest of the game

I liked Radiata Stories for the combat and the character interaction but yeah the endings are bummers. I lean towards the non-human path mostly because it may imply the rebirth of humanity and that Jack only seems strange because the scene was in Ridley's perspective and she had absorbed much of the essence of the gold dragon.

Also, the non-human path seems like it was meant to be played after the human one since it answers the questions the human path did not answer such as the truth behind the death of Jack's dad.

Overall, it would have been nice for a middle ground path and ending. Plus, the non-human leaders are pricks and hypocrites. The dwarf leader says he wants a price hike but he lives in a literal gold manor.

Jack is not dead in Fairy ending, he's somewhat transparent and not opaque because he's likely bound to Ridley and is at most a phantom stuck to her. He however is still around even if humans aren't.
