It might be possible for the complete edition to include the updated version of the original and the trading system, but they're so retarded that we'd be lucky to even get the pre-order Agumons and Black Agumon and Gabumon and any other DLC.

I think its worse because it just lacks cohesion. It has a lot of filler, and while the first game has some too, it feels a lot worse with HM because the game has like three plot threads and none of them have anything to do with each other, and two of them ultimately don't matter since the game is sitting so much in the shadow of the first game's story and the way it ends.

The anime typically do not recycle partnermons from prior series, with the closest I can think of being NEXT having an Agumon and Gaomon that have the same line as those in Savers, but only up to the Perfect level anyway. I get where you're going but that logic kind of ignores a lot of other factors of what builds upon the atmosphere of the game and also the circumstances of the characters in the story.
For example we don't know if the whole class will get transported to the same place (assuming that's going to happen to begin with), if the main character starts alone or accompied, if the characters are willing to work together at all, their individual reaction to the foreign world and digimon, and so on.

I mean, it's not even out yet. Right now it's just pre-orders. Those are all gravy anyway. The post release sales are the real meat and potatoes.

Digimon games are usually wildly different from one to another.

CS games are the most comparable to Pokemon, they're decent enough, very long and involved story. I never tried the online mode, but the battle mechanics don't have as much depth and obviously the games aren't as popular, so there's not much of a competitive scene

Why is this? I rather play something like this on Switch or PC and may get it on Switch for physical copy plus overall will be cheaper brand new for the two games than if I got them both on PS4 physically new.

To the contrary, when playing N0, I found that I inherited very little stats from prior generations, but was quick to gain them back anyway because battling would give large stat bonuses to all stats. At any rate with all of these games, the differences from one Digimon to the next are small and come mostly down to aesthetic preference, so that's all the locking feature is good for anyway

I don't remember if there's a way to make your digimon effectively immortal in DW1, but in the PSP game you can and it actually kind of sucks. The game is kind of designed to have those training episodes where you can try out new digimon, because just going from objective to objective gets stale fast.

I don't remember that at all. The closest thing to it is being able to save a copy of your Digimon for use in the optional colosseum battles and I think whatever the online mode it used to have. The only other way to do that was to fish up a bunch of life extension fish, but that took forever and IIRC feeding them that fish caused them to have a chance of getting sick to balance it anyway

N0 does have ways of making your Digimon immortal, but it's something you can only really do in the post-game

I think any digimon should be able to evolve to any digimon of ascending level as long as there is one reason even if it's a stretch ergo an Agumon can become both a Birdramon and a Meramon because all three are firey, but I also think Ebidramon should be able to become MameTyranomon Because they're both armored, red, and use their arms to fight and I also think MameTyranomon should be able to become Pukumon, I don't think I need to explain that
