I just picked it up along with 4 of my friends. We all used to live in college dorms together and would have nights where we'd play SC5 all night. For casual fun and recreating those fight nights, it's great. I wish it had more modes and features though.

It's shit and I've been saying it's shit for a while and the whole fanbase (all 3 of them) always get assblasted when I point it out. But now that Aris himself said the game is shit they are all forced to admit it and eat shit.

How so? For example the stage selection is very poor. Number of characters without paid DLC too.

Two massive single player modes, for starters.

SC hasn't been AAA since 1. Maybe 2 if you want to be kind.

SC6 is hard to drop and pick back up again, I forget so much shit

and it's a game that only deserves to be played as a secondary so I drop it for pretty long spells.

I never really got good. Between dealing with the RE spam on wakeup, CE spam for Zas/Ivy, and constantly getting mauled to death by Sieg/Knightmare oki shenanigans, I dropped the game. I’ll give it another try for season 2, but I get the feeling I might drop it for guilty gear.

Pretty well. It's got the interesting character variety of anime fighters but with a strong neutral focus instead of dumb anime combos and blockstrings. Balance is also fantastic.

Content-wise it seems like a pretty fair package compared to other fighters this gen.

Azwel is good, but it's hyperbole to say he's not playing the same game. And it was incredibly satisfying to see him beaten by voldo. Plus the whole audience doing muscle busters and quoting cheesy azwel lines was fun

If developers wanted, they could easily let community made their own maps, AI and game modes like counter strike does. But they dont want community to do that because then they wouldnt buy new editions.

I only really played SC1-3 casually with friends back in the day so I'm definitely no expert. I played SCVI during the beta and liked it a lot, but I was learning T7 at the time already so I didn't buy it. Since I'm bad I couldn't really deal with RE. And even when you get good I bet it's still kinda annoying online. I also think the meter mechanics are wack, both the supers and the installs. I bet if I took the time to learn it I'd really love it, which I'm gonna do now.
