Good taste, they allow you to start investing in more characters soon. There's also a post game semi-dating sim thing. Kinda sucks, but extra content.

UDG is fucking great though

Ace Attorney has the same VN->investigation->trial formula and has you proving inconsistencies in people's testimonies with evidence found.

999 has the same killing game vibe, but is a vn/puzzle game rather than detective, and the story requires and plays off of multiple playthroughs. It's also really good and I'd highly recommend it.

I watched the anime before even knowing the games existed. Now, honestly, I don't understand how any one can possibly like this series.

I bought this game on sale, maybe on Dec last year or earlier. I have yet to finish that game. I force myself to play at least a couple of hours every week, but it is so slow an long.
