Is it just me or do GC graphics have more "meat" to them than PS2 graphics?

You're gonna have to explain what precisely the fuck you mean by that OP

The gamecube was definitely very fleshy

More meat but less soul

Imagine being this new

its just you

Considering that it's stronger, it should.

It had "heart", thats for sure

Here is Burnout for example

Not your imagination, the PS2 was underpowered as fuck, by far the weakest console that generation. Both the Gamecube and Xbox had noticeably better graphics

>by far the weakest console that generation

That's because every Sony console after the Ps1 has been shovelware garbage.

You think that because gamecube games are actually colorful unlike PS2's not "realistic" mud-pallete

It has better graphics than the switch.

>turn on GC
>fucking bacon flies out

Ps2 had a much better controller though
ps2 and gamecube are about tied for me
every other console i can decide a clear winner but those are close
2nd closest would be 360 vs ps3 but the ps3 def wins because free online and reliablity and overall better exclusives
360 had charm though
and for online shooters nothing beats halo

480p vs 480i

didn't gamecube have 1080i for some games?

Dreamcast barely even counts, it was a weird between generations thing like the Wii U

it's definitely more "fatty." ps2 is like ground chuck, gamecube is wagyu.

wii u was a proper 8th gen console, it just was a flop

Gamecube could push more polygons.

>by far the weakest console that generation
that's the Dreamcast
>Both the Gamecube and Xbox had noticeably better graphics
only the Xbox, PS2 was stronger than the Gamecube

It's like soul, but with meat

What was it that made so many developers decide to run PS2 games at sub-640x480 resolutions? I know it is a known thing.

That was the PS2. As I remember it the Gamecube was 640x480 all day every day outside of the odd emulated retro game.

see:
it was all too plain how much more capable the PS2 was

the "generation" thing is an absurd meme created by "video game historians", which is a meme.

the gamecube had terrible textures
but this only happen to poorly optimized games
real top tier devs knew how to use the gamecube to its fullest
making the game look beautiful without worrying about textures
ps2 was sharper tho, best console gen and war by far.

GameCube had more powerful hardware.
This knowledge isn't new and I'm not sure how anyone WOULDN'T notice when playing back in the day.

It might have been because of lack of VRAM. Though Gamecube games rarely had 480p neither, both PS2 and GC were usually 480i. That's why GC component cables are so expensive because Nintendo didn't make much of them because HDTV's were rare back then

>console games
>don't have a choice on what meat you get, sometimes it's undercooked meat
>PC games
>can choose what type of meat, texture and seasoning you'd like, or can even mod the meat to become a different meal

>being this pedantic in some pathetic attempt to LARP as a boomer
Zoom zoom

480p support was actually pretty common among the "worthwhile" Gamecube games; most Nintendo games, for one. Just found out the Cube version of Alien Hominid of all things had it.

console and pc games aren't very different

It wasn't rare on PS2 neither, unless you live in PAL region like me

more like nintendo shitcube am i right fellas

it was less powerful than the 360 which at the time had been on the market for 7 years

>Ps2 had a much better controller though
Eh, if you were a man let sure otherwise those things were way too small.
And frail, I went through 4 of them while I still have my first GC controller and it still works.

60fps vs 30fps

Where it was cut outright from the Gamecube too. Sucks.

I remember hearing the Wii U was extremely lopsided, e.g a much better GPU but bad CPU.

Gamcube had better access to graphical "tricks" due to the hardware they were using.

It wasn't rare, but with GC hardware it was well done. Just think about how grilled the killer7 port was. Then again GOW2 looked fire for the time, so I guess it's alot about console optimisation, too.
