Yea Forums makes a fighting game

I think I want to make a basic fighting game with one character as practice and maybe learn how to make a basic fighter, maybe as demo project for more serious games.

In any case, I made this.
I think it would be fun taking the ideas from /fgg/ and making a game based on the combined input from all the anons, maybe a fun /fgg/ project.

This will be a fun like jam game we can all make together.

So, I'll be taking request to see what can I do.

I'll add some ribbon to the models.

Is just a small project I want to make for fun, so I wont be spending too much effort into expensive art or animations.

Maybe later on a serious project.

Why 3d

personal reasons, 3D is simpler than making hundreds of sprites.

How many buttons do you want your fighter to have?

mostly smash inputs, but I could have six buttons, three normals and three specials, so a mixture between smash and SFII.

That's rising thunders controls. 3 normals and 3 specials with cooldowns.

never played it, but I think is a good compromise between smash and SF.

Please add realistic diarrhea physics

Well if you're gonna have specials on buttons then you need to balance them with cooldowns.

Have the cooldown timing vary. For example, if the character has a DP then make it so if you hit an air opponent then it recharges almost instantly but if it misses then the timing is longer.

Cooldowns are shit. Just design the move around one-button inputs, or limit it some other way.

Why no legs? Kicks are fun. I want a jumping heel click attack.

Blade Strangers has a pretty good simple input set up.

Do you have plot ideas for it? I can imagine that you're not into focusing too much on it but I have an idea for plot that doesn't require a cinematic story mode.

is just a demo project to learn.
