Ubisoft will never top AC1

maybe it's nostalgia talking but AC1 was based

AC1 had very repetitive gameplay, but its atmosphere was top notch. Each city felt differently.

The first AC-Brotherhood were comfy

Watchdogs is fun

Man Ass Creed 1 was so good.

Still best AC with Rogue in close second.

I feel so bad for him

I wish I could remove my memories of playing Black Flag so I could experience it for the first time again

Play Pirates of the Caribbean.

Ubisoft fills all of their games with this skinner box bullshit where every little thing you do unlocks a million different nothings on a bunch of different worthless progression paths. It 's so diluted and blatantly artificial that it's impossible to care about any of it.

the only good thing about nu-ac is discovery mode. it really tickled the historical autism in me

A great game that had the curse to be an AC game.
Had they just focused on making a free roam pirate game with factions, trading, better tresure and remove all the shitty AC mechanics and this could've been such an amazing game.

Play Rogue, because it's pretty much your second chance at playing 4 for the first time

Did they ever get around to adding it to Odyssey? I haven't gotten around to playing it yet, so I'm hoping it gets added by the time I get around to starting it up

Imagine playing anything after II

BE WARY FRIENDS! THE SHAITAN IS EVERYWHERE!
WATCHING, WAITING! HE TEMPTS US ALWAYS!

I agree. Still the closest we get to a Sid Meyer's Pirates! game on newer platforms.

Already did with AC2.

Agreed, AC 1 was fucking amazing, especially the atmosphere.

it's supposed to be coming out this fall. i never got into the campaign but i'll definitely be diving in to get that sweet, sweet history of greece

>TOKW basically has Connor take over the Connor of that alternate universe.
>He knows everything from roughly sequence 11 backwards yet only really alludes to it with Ziio, constantly shouting at Washington, and says "Kanen'to:kon! Alive!"
>Doesn't try to seek out Achilles despite people talking about him in episode 2.
>Doesn't try to seek out Haytham despite Ziio handing him some Hidden Blades of his (Unless that specifically implied he died I guess).
So how does this work? Did he literally body hop into an AU Connor or is he the OG Connor and he erased AU Connor? Considering this is all canon as well, including the magical spirit creature powers, it's just part of that alternate universe. I'm also so confused when this takes place during the game because Connor doesn't hate Washington in the flashbacks yet Kannen'to:kon already died? I'm overthinking this, aren't I?
All the natives speaking English when they were in their native tongue is also really idiotic outside of Ziio, especially with Kennen'to:kon. At least the Elder is far better in English compared to her horrible deadpan voice.

Play with HUD on minimal.

>leaves ubi
>joins new studio
>starts making new game
>ubi buys studio
>fires him
>cancels game
guy got cucked twice by the frenchies

what was the game

why are europeans so afraid of change?

Game was called 1666 iirc

amsterdam 1666

These games are not designed around having HUD elements turned off outside of small superfluous ones like the buttons at the top-right, but even those are useful for knowing when you can steal, when you pick up a body vs pick up a weapon, or when an enemy is in range, etc. I can only really think of a couple areas in 1, 2, maybe Brotherhood, 3, Liberation (Specifically Louisiana, not the swamp), and some of the really small cities in BF and Rogue that this is actually viable in, anything bigger than something like Forli is a recipe for disaster. It would be hellish most of the time and you'll either be running in circles (France and Constantinople are very easy examples) or never knowing where your main story stuff is short of actually stumbling upon them. Heaven forbid you actually want to sail somewhere in BF or Rogue and get to there in under an hour.
