My dad has 4 of those.
They're nice but when he makes music it can be heard 3 floors though which can be annoying.
How many did you get?

I play with speakers and then use headphones when it's night time

I just have two and yeah I'm a little concerned whether or not my neighbors can hear them

Walmart discount tech users rise up.

Just so you know, you need a volume control and a RCA to XLR conversion for these. Like JBL M-Patch 2. So its kind of janky for home theatre / video games. The power switch is on the back of both of them.

Or you can use an expensive audio receiver that has balanced XLR output straight to the monitor.

Also I'd like to comment that these are a nearfield and while they go pretty loud, they do not perform as well as a home theatre speaker. Mine have a limiter built in to protect them and you can notice it a bit with them turned up. Also they do not have any grill and collect dust. The outside is a plastic finish. Getting both speakers properly leveled can be annoying, as the gain knob affects the balance of the tweeter and the lower driver (they have a sweet spot). But once set up properly I do like this speaker on my computer setup. I just don't want it if I have a proper TV and home setup.

What's the upside to using speakers at all?

I got a pair of these Presonus'
Superb for music and production

Which version of the Presonus do you recommend?

You don't get a headphone dent on your skull

I use the Eris E5s
don't have the space for E8's
apparently they make better ones now

stop posting sideways pictures

With quality speakers that are set up properly the audio is much more clear and you can hear every tiny little detail. Also you don't get uncomfortable because you aren't wearing shit on your head. Also you have the benefit of everything you listen to be it games, music etc. having the sound of what the audio producers intended it to sound like.

I play PC games on my home cinema.
Said home cinema has a 15.2ch Dolby Atmos/Auro-3D/DTS:X surround setup.

This. Gamer head is the worst.

arent those studio monitors? do you literally flip the switch on and off of each speaker every single time you want to play a game?

What would you get for a theater setup
