I'm thinking about going to community college for some art degree and become an animator.

>thinking Yea Forums is talented enough to make games
Lmao!

I'm making a game!

Poorly.

Still spending to much time jerking it to furry porn to learn godot maybe next year I'll have something

charge 2 dollars for it on steam and you have a million seller on your hands thanks to inevitable youtuber videos.

Cool game, Foddy.

Foddy stole my idea, I started this game 5 years ago

Pretty good, I'm still at that "trying to guesstimate if learning how to code from scratch is going to actually pay off" part of the process but I'm slowly getting there.

I for one am stuck in a vicious cycle of wanting to be a one man army, not wanting to take any shortcuts for anything, and being completely demotivated by the immense amount of work it will take to learn how to code, do art, and make music from scratch all while working a full time job.

Same shit here. Don't even really know how to approach it, seems like there's a lot of research to be done even before you make a move.
>not wanting to take any shortcuts for anything
If vidya is like any other art, don't do that unless you want to be stuck on one piece of garbage forever. Take shortcuts when you can and figure out why they work later. You want to go through your complete shit phase as soon as possible and not polish something you'd surpass anyway in further projects.

PLAY BY EMAIL MULTIPLAYER

Still learning Blender techniques to accelerate the process of making monsters. I'm on the Bezier curves chapter and I think this is it guys, it's literally the fastest method to model symetrical body parts.

maybe its just because i'm coming off a long day at work and am tired, but wouldn't a mirror modifier be the easiest to create symmetry?

I want to make a 3D platformer, where do I start?

Non-existant. I just have one composer of Copy Kitty doing music for an OC of mine and that's it.

Attached: Furry spinning.png (930x960, 268K)

not him, but wouldn't you use a beizer curve together with the mirror modifier or something? I don't know, I never tried the method.

I think I used the wrong word. I just want a cleaner result than editing each loops of a mesh manually to get curves, and I found in a tutorial that you can use the screw modifier to have your bezier rotate along an axis to form a cylinder. ( something I didn't know but maybe it's something people regularly do )

If anyone is making their first game here and want original music for it, I have a couple hours to kill.

make some music to inspire us all to work hard and make our games a reality

I'm not a miracle worker, user.
Having custom music will probably motivate you tho

It's going well, I'm working on the final boss right now.
I made a nice gif earlier for promotional purposes, so here's a webm version of that

Cool. One man dev team?

vocaroo.com/i/s1ObCTTJd0f4
here you go bb

I am legitimately going to use this with a daily alert

absolutely

Impressive.

You were the one "experimenting" with unreal engine a few months back on /agdg/ right? What's he running from/to?

I love Copy Kitty. If your game is going to be like that do share later.

thanks

I wish I would win the lottery so I do not have to work my day job anymore and have more time for game dev. like 100k would be enough. Fuck.I released a few games before, but they made only a few thousand €. Still happy of course.Should I just make a KickStarter scam?

:)

youtube

Is that you in the pic?
I'm looking for a jive tune that really slaps

post soundcloud/vocaroo

Yes. What's the game?
I'm not looking for paid work.

>turning down money
sure dude, still, post soundcloud/vocaroo

>money
Post your game

Don't have one, just doing the thread a favor.
Now unless this is your long set-up for the Sorry not interested joke, post soundcloud/vocaroo

Go check Yea Forums, there's probably a soundclud thread there.

Make me a music for a sad moment.

What's the game?

You don't need any degree to go into the industry if you're worth anything of value. Learn on your own and build a portfolio of your work from collabing on mods and shipping homebrew. If your work doesn't fucking suck and you have a proven record, you can muscle your way through and be underpaid at a sponsored studio or go be a faggot for some indie startup

I'm, uh, still researching.

wip

still making new maps and testing to see if playing with a controller is manageable enough.

Attached: Desktop.webm (600x400, 2.55M)

some courses on udemy are good, but you should be able to find all neccessary documentation for free, though don't expect it to show up within a "how to create a 3d platformer in unity" google search.

Sort of? Its going to be like a Megaman Zero type action game where your characters that you choose can have custom armaments and equipment that they could select before every mission.

You guys think there are to many spoopy games on the market to bother making a other one?

Nah, it depends on what type of scary game you want to make, like there aren't a lot of Clock Tower/Haunting Ground games

horror also has a very devout following so audiences will buy a lot of games

Horror games are always popular with streamers, which could be good for marketing.

Guess I'll keep working at my warehouse and make $12 an hour and make doodles for another few years.
