good thread OP

this piece of bureaucracy cost 35 billion euros btw

Wheres the fucking remaster reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

I live in PALestine and I've never seen a game with the modified rating.

Hack GU sold like shit so they gave up
Bamco were idiots to remaster the GU series instead of the originals, but what else is new

What

Interested to know how that happened since PEGI has never had an 11 rating.
ELSPA had 11+, so I can only assume this is one of the very first PEGI rated games in the transition.

probably something to do with the DVD that comes with it which is rated PG by the BBFC

it was 11+ and 15+ instead of 12+ and 16+ just in finland for whatever reason up until 2007.

As a fan of the franchise who played them all on PS2, I understand why they did GU instead. Current markets like action games and menu driven combat is looked down on by many. They might be the better story and the combat might be more interesting in some aspects the fact is it's just not hip in IMOQ anymore.

If the goal was to revitalize the franchise remastering the more accessible one is just smart business. Also, it didn't come with 4 anime OVAs that help paint the picture of the outside world and had all that integrated into the GU games that kept costs down.

If you're going to bitch about anything, bitch about them making the game way easier and adding cheats on top to make the gameplay pointless. That likely sabotaged the sales more than anything else.

I just like the original .hack games music better

hopefully the PS5 will have a PS1-4 store like the PS3 did and PS2 games like .hack 1-4 will be available again

Loli PEGI

Can they do this?

.hack plays perfectly fine on an emulator and it's not like they remade G.U.
It was obviously much easier to remaster G.U. than completely remake .hack

And as someone who actually got into the series with Last Recode I can only say I really enjoyed the collection-aspect of the game.
The only things that bothered me was how short each story is and how the tutorial-messages NEVER STOP APPEARING IN E.V.E.R.Y EPISODE.

Why has there been an uptick in .hack threads? Not that I'm complaining but I haven't seen anyone talk about the game in years and suddenly I find a somewhat consistent number of threads about it.

I'm gonna save this for future cover threads.
