I know it's a minor nitpick but I was really disappointed when in the arctic area you had to collect ten of something and Hat Kid stopped counting at 6 because voice lines had never been recorded to that point.

It seemed really lazy that they couldn't get new lines.

Absolutely fucking excellent game with stellar movement, good map design, plenty of variety/content, and great writing - but the dlc is disappointing.

Seal the Deal is very short and doesn't make much use of the wide open cruise ship beyond scattering things around it to do/collect in the second and third act. I appreciate them trying to do something different with it but it feels like they designed it with the idea of prioritizing co-op, because it's really only when there's another player and you're both scampering around the huge ship or icebergs trying to get shit done on a timelimit while messily coordinating as you loop and weave around and over one another that it's particularly fun. I genuinely suspect the singleplayer was compromised for the sake of making it co-op focused, but even then its too short.

Nyankuza Metro is notably better despite still feeling like it's partly designed to accomodate the mass multiplayer mode, with lots of room for Hat/Bow kids to create their own fun with races or dump shenanigans and level design to match, but it's still pretty fucking good in singleplayer and the amount of effort put into npc dialogue, the social media messages, the shop voiceovers, etc. makes it quite a nice change of pace to how barren other levels can be in terms of feeling lived in. The total anticlimax of an ending with no bossfight is really a major downer though considering how good the buildup is for one, it's right ul there with how well The Snatcher is setup - and then poof, nada.

There's some great mods too, I'd rec anything by Elsie (LCL) to start with - it's all voice acted too, and decently at that.

It was everything I wanted in a platformer aside from being too short...the mod community sort of helps this out I guess.

Also Subcon Forest was the best part of the game and it pains me when I explore it and see all of the cool shit they never got to flesh out (like that Alice in Wonderland section), the whole game could have been that level and I'd have been fine with it.

Well in general, she has a bad silhouette, her design is more of a nonplayable character, and in general her color scheme isn't that good, not to say that the character couldn't work, it's just that she needs a redesign.
