IIRC Kasumi's confidant will be similar to Adachi's from P4G that it's a confidant you have to rank up to a certain point manually and then becomes an automatic one.

So yes, Mementos is gone, Yaldy is gone, and since Yaldy is the one who gave everyone the app they no longer have access to the Palaces (until something happens in Royal that changes that). Likewise "the TV World" no longer exists (except for the brief time it came back in Arena) but the world of the collective unconscious that it came from still exists. You can literally just watch the cutscenes after the Izanami boss fight to see.

I haven't been following the info so I hope to god this is true. I'd be mad if they added all this shit but didn't even try to fix the issues the original had.

P4 despite its fairly flat characters did the best job of handling the "Jungian themes" which the series tries to cite. The shadow selves actually made sense as Shadows (whereas in P5 they essentially just exist to honestly exposit the target's crimes) and the party members' personae are actually based off of their Jungian Persona in either design or mythology (e.g. Yosuke's carefree action hero with a fake smile).
His lectures in 3 are about mythology and the occult.

The shadows/demons represent the Jungian archetypes, and the process of gaining a capital-P Persona is similar to Jung describing the formation of a persona, just in the context of a video game with supernatural elements.

In P5 the shadow selves are mostly like that due to the game's overall desire to comment on society: it makes more sense for the bad guys to actually be bad guys. However, it does still touch on the themes you're referring to with Futaba's and Sae's, as well as minor references like the idea in Yusuke's confidant that the real Madarame wasn't as one-dimensionally greedy as his shadow suggested. The Personas in 5 also fit their respective characters just as well as 4's.

anyone who played p5 is actually gonna get this? i got p3 on psp and p4 golden on vita but this seems like way too soon to play this game again since i bought it couple of months after release. A lot of my complaints are personal issues with the way the writing treats specific characters, but from a gameplay perspective it was a total upgrade to PQ, additional dialogue and baton passes were neat, but the straightforward dungeons and puzzle nerfs were disappointing. Trying to juggle a cast of almost 30 characters was far too much for them, since it felt like almost everyone but a select few got sidelined.

Yes. The Personas are more individual focused rather than having one theme like 3 and 4. For example Futaba’s Personas are based on the theme of offering forbidden knowledge which is in line with her role as a hacker.
