This is not how vidya development works at all. Beenox, by contract, receive their payment based upon sales of the game. MTX are all profit for Activision. Costs for everything were drawn up before the game was in concept stages and the price of these "free" updates were already paid and covered for via game sales and more specifically sales of the Oxide Edition. Beenox are not seeing a penny from these microtransactions and you're an absolute dumb piece of shit for thinking they would.

Look at it this way right, if you buy a game that has microtransactions in it you are saying to that game company "Microtransactions do not affect sales numbers" MTX costs the company almost nothing to make its free money for them, so even if only 1 person in the world buys a microtransaction and nobody else does but they still buy the game, then its profitable for them to put in mtx and thus will continue to do so for every single game for the eternity of time.

The only way to win is to make it so that they lose actual sales for having microtransactions, this would create a cost/benefit calculation they would need to start making before considering them, its also a good idea to socially shame whales for buying MTX as thats another good way to make sure they are earning less money from it, and as the user im replying to stated whales are less likely to buy mtx if they player numbers are lower
