Is it bad? Are you not actually enjoying yourself?

Have you actually played anything else out there? If so and you still only like street fighter then that's a shame, but if not then shut the fuck up. I really enjoy SFV, but i also enjoy other games because i tried them out and found them really damn fun.

Only when win

Attached: AI77Wkc.jpg (200x200, 8K)

Did you seriously cut Smash out of this? Fuck off. OP, as this user has shown, numbers are the only thing that matters when picking a game so you should play Smash.

What? Make sense you fucking frogfaggot.

he didn't cut anything out. this is a graph for fighting games

tried everything
all shit except SF

for you beginners check out fullmeter.com/fatonline/#/lessons

>but it's still better than everything out there
I started playing SamSho and find it way more fun, though people really exaggerate how bad SFV is.

SF is fine but stop sucking capcom's cock this hard.

This is why I hate fighting game threads on Yea Forums, games are either literally the greatest thing ever made or irredeemable shit with no value. You can like a game and realize it has shittu aspects.

>talk shows
>fighting games
Oh you

Did they ever fix the horrendous teleporting netcode? No? Oh well. I'll wait for the new GG

Should I get this game? Only $8 on psn and I dont really haven't played many fighters so I cant really tell if it's a bad game so I have no point of reference.

mad tekkenfag

For $8 it would be a pretty good introduction to the genre. Not the greatest game or anything but a good starting place. I think you can do a free trial of it right now, maybe try that first.

Can't believe this piece of shit would make me miss SF4.

>Refrains from showing Smash
SPOOKED

it's probably one of the best games to get as a new fighting game players, especially for 8 bucks
like the other guy said it's not incredible or anything, but it's perfectly fine, and very simple to understand compared to many other games.

Eh I'll just buy it then, its $8. I also have UNIST so I'm not completely clueless to fighters. Also is MvC3 good? I've seen it on sale a few times and i like the style but I heard the net code is bad and it's a really old game too.

no. half the roster and pretty much all stages and costumes are locked behind grinding and/or paywalls.

All the dlc is on sale too bro

seething tekkenfag

I love SFV. One of my favorite games of all time, honestly. I love the music, the hitstop, the crunchiness of the gameplay.

Attached: xEVKOMN.jpg (3840x2160, 586K)

I apologize for posting this I'm just positively butthurt that every time there's a tekken thread SFV fags turn up and talk endless nonsense. I just wanted to be the bad guy, I'm sorry.

it still adds up to a hell of a lot more than $8

>Also is MvC3 good?
Community is pretty dead, balance isn't great (hope you like seeing Vergil every match), and it's a difficult game to get into as very few new players will be available for you to fight. I mean, if you are passionate about the game its always worth it but honestly getting into MvC3 now would probably be quite a hassle.

No they are for things that showed up in EVO 2019 main stage, his Tekken>Street Fighter cause popularity narrative falls apart when Smash has more viewers than Tekken

Im playing the free trial rn and it's pretty fun. Got a 15 win streak too until I ran into a laggy brazilian. The game itself isn't bad but it's absolutely ridiculous how more than half of the roster is all DLCs. I'd consider buying it if they release some kind of ultra street fighter v but as of now it's not worth any money

Attached: SPOILER_zdYg2Zv8exYJn6JYKOMIlsJaaWFQPr8X5pbH7T4SHe0.png (640x385, 281K)

>hope you like seeing Vergil every match
>hating on best boy
Dante, don't even say Jackpot anymore.

In tbe game if you do character's story mode you should get enough fight money for a character or two I think. Honestly I just don't buy characters I know I have no interest in.

Not anymore. Fight money might as well not even exist.

You do, it just comes from leveling up with the xp you get by playing story mode rather than directly from playing story mode.

its not bad, just not the absolute best

That was a very fair thing to say.

Yeah I agree, I play sagat usually. Though I'm back into league again.

I kinda of realized this. Yeah SFV isn't the best street fighter game but its still the street fighter style and that just makes it better than all that anime and NRS shit

Tried guilty gear, BBTag, uniel, MK11 and God I don't know how anyone can enjoy that shit

you can buy the Arcade Edition it comes with more characters than the initial roster

Well let me put it this way, if you’ve played this game from the beginning you’re not getting much of anything for your effort. What used to pay out 4000 only gives you 1k now. Likewise, those playing just now and earning FM are only going to earn about a third of what everyone else did doing the same exact shit. Even the weekly missions are gone and what challenges there are are just laughable payouts.

Based

I slso am a fan of more grounded fighting games, i personally just alternative between sf and tekken, i might try gg because of the new one coming out but im still undecided on it.

>That one FM mission type used to give 5000
>Got reduced to 2500 at some point
>Apparently got reduced to 50 FM now
t-thanks Capcom

Attached: 1496059148634.jpg (874x841, 264K)

No it isn't. Tekken, DBFZ, Smash, Guilty Gear, all them are better. I never really played any fighting game other than Street Fighter all that much until SFV came out, because I used to agree with the idea that even a bad Street fighter is better than any other fighting game. But you have to be an absurd SF cocksucker to think it's the best Fighting game out there right now. It's not even close.

>This
It's basically an incredibly dumbed down version of SF4 made with newbies in mind. It's actually a pretty good starting place if your new to FightingGames in general and wan't to get to know the basic mechanics of how 6 button fighters work.

>The Online is absolute ass though, SFV has the most busted net code I have ever seen in a game (one sided rollback is a thing in this game which means you can get lose before the match even starts), The ping measurement tool is broken so you can get matched with a player on airport mexican wifi player because the system will give them a 5 bar connection indicator and It's infested with smurfs so bad that any rank over ultrasilver is almost completely dead. It's a complete shit show.

why are tekkenfags always trying to invent convoluted backstories about being longtime fans of street fighter before shitting on it?

Probably assblasted over all the ways people abuse the system. If you go into bronze there's a good portion you'll find a bot mining for fight money.

Every discussion of non-SF fighting games will invariably tell Capcom to suck it because of mass insecurity among non-SF players.

I completely disagree with your statement. It's not bad, but there's still better fighting games out there. Tekken, SoulCal, UNIST, GG, and SamSho (been playing this one the most) are all better imo.

Attached: content haohmaru.png (512x448, 27K)

Possibly because a lot of people liked Street Fighter until V came out and instead of sticking around and forcing themselves through that shitshow until they develop Stockholm syndrome, they just moved on to a better game. You should try it. Almost any other fighting game out now is more fun to play, not just Tekken.

You only get like 3,000FM for completeing now instead of 50,000. It's not really worth it any more, I don't even know why Capcom even bothers with it anymore.

how do i lobotomize my brain so that i can enjoy the aerial aspect of 2d fighters ?
it always feels so bad to jump. it is like im playing some meme platformer. it looks shit as well.

>but it's still better than everything out there

No. You just can't escape your comfort Zone. Right now, Samsho is the ideal footsie fighter.

>new season releases
>try out the new characters and see which I enjoy
>decide to practice with said character
>take them to online and get stomped
>end up just saying fuck it and going back to Bison
>start stomping afterward
I like new things but I also like winning

i want to git gud at this game but how? like yeah I should hit the training mode and practice but like what the fuck am i supposed to practice?

There's some habits you'll only develop by playing against others (reading habits and shit), if you wanna learn combos just look up videos on youtube

I feel like the trials are a good way to initially get a feel for what character literally feels comfortable to use.

And then go online and get into a routine

>get ass beat
>go into training mode to learn how not to get your ass beat
>win some matches
>go back to step 1

moving, knowing your moves ranges and optimizing your combo starters from all buttons/ranges/counterhits/meaties

what should I be using with Cawfee girl?

Attached: 1564630959568.png (531x655, 559K)

oof

DO THE CROIME YOU DO THE TOIME

No it's not.
SC6
Tekken 7
And even MK11 are all better fighting games. Haven't played DagonballZ fighters or DOA6, so can't speak on those games. Overall SFV was the most disappointing fighter this gen

Namcucks shilling their garbage as usual.

>SC6
>MK11
lol

>Snoretal Kombat

Tekken 7 is the most disappointing fighter. Tons of content, but actual gameplay is shallow as fuck. At EVO, I literally watched two adults cream themselves over two characters jiggling side to side.
>oh this takes so much skill
>look at those sidesteps
>what an incredible defense, he’s perfectly matching his sidestep
What a load of shit.

>competent enough to handle players that try to play footsies fine
>not so competent that I can handle players repeatedly do a short blockstring into either dp or jump in thoughtlessly

I'm depressed

Tekken and Unist are bomb. I'm even considering trying mk11

OP is playing SFV because he likes it not because of how many people are playing it you fag. If that was the case the whole FGC would be playing smash.

>Barely anybody watched SoulCalibur
Faggots, the lot of you, genuinely.

So shitpost aside and OBVIOUS REASONS ASIDE like the amount of money you have to put in just to get the fucking roster and stages, season 4 of SFV is honestly very good.

Anyhow, its time for somebody to pretend they know what neutral is, I guess.

Soulcalibur top 8 also happened at like midnight on Friday. It was not by any means a primetime slot

You're right. I'm just really angry at how shitty SoulCalibur gets treated at tournaments. I wish it got more respect.

I mean, I think its alright to be disappointed you won't see the entirety of the roster in a game with such an amazing variety. I don't think I EVER saw Thor.

They really had something going with fight money but I guess greed really kicked in when they stopped pushing units. The fact that FM can't buy costumes or STAGES will always piss me off. SFV might be in a good place gameplay wise in season 4 but its so expensive if you want everything. Sad knowing we're not getting a complete package after its reign is over, too.

user you can buy most stages with FM, they're just pretty expensive (usually either 70k or 40k)

Attached: EBVkXWEUEAAdkGO.jfif.jpg (900x506, 79K)

Fuck's your problem with SC6? You going to be that bitch that can't react to 30 frames of startup and not blame your braindead pressure?

Was this always the case? I coulda sworn you couldn't buy stages. Well, color me the fool, then. Regardless, I thought SFV was SMART with putting in grindable money to get future content because this was during the transition from buying the updated version of the game.

I guess I was wrong.

>pretty expensive (usually either 70k or 40k)
How the fuck is anyone expect to actually buy shit with fight money when the value of fight money is so low?

>Muh sf4 1frame links
Stfu faggot, sfv did the right thing making it more accessible. Its just dumb as fuck and needed hours and hours of unneeded training.

>"j-....b---....b-b-b-buy s.ss...street fighter 5... p...p..p-p-p-p-p-PLEASE"
>"I DON'T WANT TO BE ALOOOOOOOOOOOONE"
pretty sure you didn-t need a thread for this.

>I don't understand 3D fighting games, therefore they're shit

it's LITERALLY too high-IQ for you

Not him but 3D fighting games just are not my cup of tea. Nothing like a game of Tekken where there's no combo breaking or counters for being juggled for most of the match with no chance of anything.
Always hated Tekken for that.

SFV is the worst street fighter game in a series of terrible games where the only good one was third strike, and even that wasn't exceptionally good.

ono brings 3 literally who's to evo after the game got shit on thanks to how retarded of a character Kage was. Meanwhile, a brand new guilty gear game was announced that looks hype as fuck.

it is brain drain retarded to continue pretending sfv is worthwhile, relevant, or good. there's not even the excuse of it "being popular", which it isn't, or "having high ratings", which it never did. It's just a plain shitty retarded game and the skill ceiling is too high that if you didn't have savant autism and started playing day-1, you're never going to catch up to compete at a tourney-tier money-making level.

it isn't new-player friendly. it isn't "fan of street fighter" friendly. it's a game made for no one. it looks like shit. it feels like shit. it plays like shit. everyone hates it.

Is this a pasta? I don't recognize it, not bad but the tekken 7 one is better.

i was one of the people who shat all over e honda being in because who gives a shit about e honda but all honesty with his release i find i dont mind all the world warriors being together, id be okay if they had them in some form in all the games, even if they just brought them back as like dream match fighters or something like in crossover games

convince me to play sf5 when I can play usf4

As a big fan of Street Fighter who has played all major titles in the series, stick with USF4.

>I don't want to be punished for getting launched

Come on, stop pretending it's game over if you get touched, it's not marvel 3.

There's a huge difference in being punished and just sitting there helplessly while getting juggled for a ridiculous portion of your life. Not to mention there's no guard breaking, there's no counter breaking, you can't even stop the juggling with any inputs. It's just sitting there and getting pummeled. It's not fun to me. If you like it, more power to you. I just can't get behind a game that takes away control like that.

This shit right here. Poison is cute as fuck.

Attached: cutepoison.webm (682x384, 1.23M)

Just got my ass beaten online after trying Poison out.
They even ruined her compared to 4. 5 has zero redeeming qualities in my eyes. I want my money back for paying for her. I feel ripped off.

It isn't new-player friendly but you should have mentioned that on the surface it appears to be, but because of the lack of defensive options, you have to know every bit of frame-data to know when it's your turn to attack. SF4 at least gave you invincible reversals that you could FADC to make safe, along with crouch teching.

Sure it's easier to do combos but who cares about that when basic defense against characters with such strong rushdown is harder to do. Even in SF3 you had the parry, imagine playing against Akuma or Urien in that game without it.

Yeah, but she cute

*Hot as fuck
Fify

Enjoy actually trying to find people to play.

I can just call my bros and set up a mini tournament

>no guard breaking

They're called lows

>no counter breaking

What?

>you can't even stop the juggling with any inputs

Why should someone punishing you for your fuck up not be rewarded? Stop hitting buttons when it's not your turn, you wont get counterhit launched. And if you're just running into random df2 launchers, bait the shit out and punish them.

4 years....Ed is still shit at everything. Why is this allowed?

Attached: 1530602054151.jpg (153x256, 12K)

You can sit here and try to be right about this all you want, you want to be right? Be right. I literally don't care for Tekken and you'll never be able to convince me otherwise. I rather play literally any other fighting game. I simply cannot stand Tekken, never have and probably never will.

I love people pretending that C. DPs are bad and that posting a webm with zero understanding of why clean execution is important.

The problem is not the DP comes out easily, cause guess what? Same exact shit applies to SF3 and SF4. The problem is to make sure it doesn't come out cleanly. If you're whining about it not being as strict as fucking Street Fighter 1, you're a bitch.

God, every single time with these stupid webms.

What are those shoes?
Ugliest shoes I've ever seen. Worse than Crocs.

People are really making copypasta with Guilty Gear. Wow.

I'd rather play BlazBlue CTB or even Third Strike. SFV is so gay. They always do best girl Sakura wrong

n..no! PLAY TEKKEN FAGGOT YOU'RE JUST A MAD BAD WHO IS SCARED OF REAL MAN FIGHTING GAME REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Attached: 1553458579292.jpg (550x291, 35K)

You're not playing USFIV. But, I don't need to convince you to play what you like. If you want to play IV, play IV. If you want to play V, play V.

V's problems is not in its mechanics, and a lot of its problems were cleaned up as the seasons went on, giving us a very strong season 4. The problem is its optimization, monetization strategies, and overall lack of any real communication between the community and Capcom in regards to what is happening with the game moving onward.

But. At the end of the day, people talk the talk but never walk the walk when it comes to saying they'll play other fighting games. These threads tend to be made up of people who don't touch the genre.

Make all the petty memes you want. Not going to convince me that Tekken is fun, it's not. Atleast not to me. Get over it.

how is he even a tekkenfag? he said he likes the game. you must be seething right now

His baby mode control scheme doesn't allow him to be good.

I want to fuck E. Honda in his huge ass. He's like about 300 pounds of fucking power. It would be him power bottoming for sure since he's so big and it would just feel so good to feel his huge body crush and grind against me as he presses me into the bed. I think I always felt this way but seeing him in SFV just awakened this fire in me. What the fuck.

Nice bro

Shes pretty great though, Just get good?

Ed is in the game for reverse tier whores like me, who pick shittiest character possible to always have an excuse for losing.

i want omega mode in sfv

His 2nd v-skill is pretty dope, also he has that one corner combo.

>Unironically play's SFV instead of 3rd Strike

Any poorly animated and shoddily lit 3D porn using Poison's new model yet?

Lucia is lucky she has a 10/10 body. Will Capcom bring Final Fight 3 to modern platforms now?

Post poison pics so I can fap

The DLC situation is truly terrible. I own SFV since the very beginning and have bought all season passes and farmed up quite some FM and yet I still lack a few stages, 3 characters and I have only a tiny portion of the costumes available.

I just find the game super dull. After jumping ship and trying out other series it is kind of eye opening. It always gets recommend as the casual friendly game but basic shit really doesn't work right. I'm sure there are people who do like it, but a lot of those come off like new players who if they branched out a bit wouldn't go back.

Like I have no idea why they are so insistent of most projectiles being garbage and every character having an easy answer to them. It doesn't help the game at all. Even if they don't want strong zoning, they've killed the basic space control aspect of it. You don't really achieve much in neutral. SFV players seem to think the game is neutral focused cause you are pushed back to it more, but you can't really achieve anything in neutral but look for a way to dash up and start you +/-2 pressure. Karin is apparently the neutral focused character, but any I've played or watched were all about getting up in your grill. The game is all about heavy momentum, you want to get a corner carry and just keep mixing up between safe buttons and throws. All the systems push you towards that, even the really easy stun. I'd be okay with that if there were a lot of mechanics for some crazy offence, you can have an interesting game with the offensive side being much stronger but it is unga and basic.

>/fgg/

Wait for SamSho on PC

>just buy x fighting game when it gets a PC port
They always go sub 1000 players after the first week of play

You only need 1 other player dickass

>Not playing with friends
It's not as if Yea Forumsirgins or sfv general fags go to tourneys anyway

Not like playing online has anything to do with tourneys. It's just a very convenient way to play the game at any time you want with a big player variety. Since friends are not always available and singleplayer is completely useless in a fighting game that's the only way to actually play the game whenever you want.

People always think it's because the combos are easy. It's noob-friendly because it forces good habits by how easily you can get fucked. When the average player can pull off the absolute most optimal combo 99% of the time, every mistake feels critical. It forces beginners to have to play solid, because there is no other way to play. It's pretty monotonous and kinda boring, but it's a good start for beginners who want to branch out to other games and not play like shit. I'll admit that I actually got better at USF4 because of SFV.

Mk11 has some jank and balance issues but the neutral in it is surprisingly fulfilling and learning punishes and optimization is rewarding too. Its kind of weird playing an mk that actually cares about spacing and not just mindless running and mashing.

>It's noob-friendly because it forces good habits by how easily you can get fucked.
No it doesn't because those aspects are incredibly weak. It encourages you to constantly try and keep the pressure and momentum on your side. Because if t goes the other way solid play won't get you out of that situation, you'll be sitting blocking +2 buttons till you try and call them out. You are taught to constantly disrespect and challenge options. Playing neutral is not rewarding, you will not make dents in round with cr.mk hadoken but need to get them in that corner and not let up.

>cutting out Tekken's 210k peak
lame

half the inputs in that webm are not even dragonpunches. one is a hadouken motion followed by pressing backwards.

SFV is a fucking garbage dude. let it go.

I like that sfv tried new ideas as far as character variety and progression goes but a lot of new moves and designs are terrible honestly, which is frustrating cause you can take these good ideas and slap them on a more fleshed out game and things would be 100x better. But as it is akuma and ken get more unique from ryu than ever but end up looking like shit and feeling unfulfilling to play because the game itself just doesn't feel fulfilling.

As for the latest characters, I do appreciate lucia being in sf. So props for that. I hate that half her animations look recycled but the character itself is nice and its kind of a strange that shes actually incredibly good, while poison and Honda are sort of meh. Especially poison, she doesn't feel complete somehow

I don't really disagree with you there, I just think it actually beneficial for new players because of how fucked up the game is. I'm speaking from experience that my defense became more thoughtful going to other games because of how one-sided things are in SFV.

The gameplay redesigns just seem a bit more miss that hit. You have a character like Cody who was perfectly fit for SFV and would bring in some unique tools. Instead he gets redesigned to make him more similar and the old stuff he kept doesn't work as well. I swear if Makoto gets in she'll be given a projectile, hayate is a vskill that destroys projectiles and Fukiage will be a standard DP. It comes off like they only wanted to change characters so SFV is different but then had no idea where they were really taking them. Poison is the only one where I feel like they tried to do more with her, by making her Whip.

Then you look at the new characters (past the base roster anyway) and they seem way more thought out and often more complex. Their visual design isn't always on point but if SFV was a game of new characters it would probably be way better.

Thats why I stopped wishing for returning characters with a solid established move set that me or others are attached to. I assumed people would have been smart enough to not ask after seeing how dhalsim, vega, and I suppose nash was heavily changed. But no they kept asking for sakura, sagat, Honda, poison, and cody and they have either little familiarity to their old selves or too much to be of much use in sfv. The best ones like guile or urien got purposely built to be used in sfv but somewhat familiar to past incarnations, but others like sagat got no adjustment boosts, and cody and sakura seem like they were neutered to fit in less when previously one could say this type of game was perfect for their play styles.

Ever since s3 I have been hoping more for characters that people wouldn't mind changes to if they made a comeback, such as necro, oro, twelve, eagle, maki, sean etc.

Nash had to change playstyles because he was basically Guile for the Alpha games

Broski said she'll be low-mid tier.
I've just tried her out for about 20 hours and she's ...okay, ish. Definitely not a step up from Cody, which was my previous main.

God you frogposters ARE ABSOLUTE FUCKING CANCER

I liked the changes personally. But I can understand why some wouldn't want a complete rework. The only thing I don't like is he isn't capable of being a foil to guile by being rushdown to his zoning like the devolopers intended. Instead guile is just a great zoner and a great rushdown while nash is mediocre all around

I can't get over how well they did Urien in SFV. He plays great, looks great, and they even kept his thong without some gay ass DLC. Doesn't make sense.

All i think he needs is a fucking overhead for decent mix ups. I know it's not much but when all you can do to psyche your opponent is dash and grab or hit low, your options become predictable too fast.

True but i thnk his VT1 is just the better option overall.

>tfw Vega will never be good

I tried tekken and all is was was Simon says and juggling

OH SHUT THE FUCK UP SHUT THE FUCK UP FUCKING SHUT UP YOU RETARD

Also combo timing was REALLY fiddly, felt like stuff just didn't come out half the time

it would be so much better without the ebin launchers after u already hit the ground

If you block you will generally get pushed out of pressure. It's pretty obvious when people are microwalking to extend their pressure, and then you can just jab and (if the net code doesn't fuck you) you'll be okay 90% of the time.

Crouch teching and no frame buffers made applying pressure extremely difficult and technical in SF4, plinking frame traps was not beginner friendly. Plus if you didn't want to suck you had to learn all the frame data anyhow in SF4

>complains about netcode
>I'll wait for the new GG
nigga wat?

Attached: 1543965151997.jpg (839x655, 32K)

You don't think crouch teching was a good thing do you?

At this point people just hate SFV out of principle.
Even thou half the shit they use as a reason why they hate it has bean fixed by now.

I can literally think of only 1 bad thing about the game and its the net-code.
And even then the net-code is acualy pretty good assuming you and your opponent dont use shit WIFI.
Its leagues better than what ark-system uses.

Attached: 1553966026211.jpg (749x780, 114K)

Wait until next year, rumour says SSFV will come with all characters for new buyers

Its FREE TO PLAY until monday. Try it out yourself noob.

Real gameplay is on the ground. Pros almost never ever jump because punishing jumping is too easy. You are supposted to dance on the ground. Or try out akuma. That motherfucker can do like 5 different things from jump.

How many matches do you have? It took me 70 losses before i won my first game online. And about 200 games to reach super bronze.

Have you tried picking character with parry move? If you can predict what the motherfucker will do and you have access to parry, you rape them for like 30% hp per single guess.

Pick a real character. You are no better than alex fags whining nonstop about literallywho being bad. Some chars are intentionally made to be bad.

On PC? Late 2020.

Vega is good. Not tournament viable good, but all his gimmicks destroys people online.

Sincerely, I used a trainer on Season 1 to beat all survival modes after 1 battle with all characters and amounted 1 million+ FM. Never had to worry about it again.

I missed the finals because it was on a different day. I did watch early pools during Tekken commercial breaks.

>playing english when the japanese voice has a glorious kansai accent

What rumour?

Netcode is dogshit, literally the worst. Matchmaking takes about 30 minutes to find a laggy 2 bar connection. I live in EU, excellent internet, no wifi and find great matches constantly in other games with no problems. I even tried to play together with a friend with whom I have 5 bars in every other game, and guess what connection we had in 5? 1 bar with lagging and rollback out the ass - absolutely unplayable.

It's precisely that they aren't. Currency grinding is designed to frustrate the player into paying with real money.

Tekken was a waiting room for Smash.

Smash is not a fighting game.

Start by finding out the following about your character, in this order:

- Good long range pokes to use on neutral
- Anti air normals
- Cancellable normals
- Safe/Unsafe normals
- The range where you are most effective (aka your best normals connect)

Then you proceed to combos:
- Out of a jump-in
- Out of a normal in neutral
- Crush Counter combo
- After Stun Combo

Only then you should proceed to play online. And after a couple of matches you should invest in:

- How to punish shit that people spam online (demon flips, badly spaced fireballs, random tatsus on neutral, etc)
- Okizeme to keep pressure after a knockdown
- Frame traps / safe blockstrings to keep the pressure
- Shimmies

I find matched in less than 5 minutes and only 3-4 out of 10 of them are unplayable.
I live in slavland EU.

Play Tekken

>Literally the worst

You havent played many fighting games online have you? KOF13 and KOF14 sends you regards

>30 minutes
Do you have handshake icon in your fighter profile (top right corner)?

Do you have enabled Upnp in your router?

Have you rage quitted some games?

Do you lie on the internet?

What do you get from talking bullshit?

>thought lucia looked bad in the trailers
>play her and fun
I don't even like SFV but I'd be lying if I did not have fun with Lucia yesterday. Hope the charm doesn't fade away too fast.

Amazing how no one pointed out this obvious Capcom shill.

>fixed by now

Got the game at launch, played it for 3 months and dropped it. The game sucked. Why should I bother to go back?
Meanwhile I played SFIV for 4 years without fail.

At least in SFV people will play a full set 2 out of 3 most of the time with you. I love Tekken far more but the people online are total bitches that often quit after one round. Yes, you will get sometimes people that will play 20 rounds in a row with you in Tekken but that's pretty rare.

Bump

PC release for SamSho is supposed to be at the end of this year, along with Switch.

5k reward missions are gone completely, the type where you get trigger some stage event etc and bam you got easy extra 5k FM
they used to give out too much FM considering how little shit there was to buy with it and a lot of people wasted their FM on garbage like shittier story outfits because "why not, I can easily get it back in a few weeks" and then they nerfed the payouts to shit in two phases
but it's not like you can buy things like characters in other current fighters for free

What's so special about it?

>they used to give out too much FM considering how little shit there was to buy with it
>What the fuck they are giving so much DLC for free, I certainly can't save this for later season! This is terrible please fix it capgod!
This is the cucked mind of a SFV defender. That guy who says the netcode is good enough and the top tiers are neutral focused? This is his mind set.

I just got to silver with all the influx of returning and new players with Karin and I think I'm finally understanding the unga game. People rarely contest my okis at this point but I don't really blame them since meterless reversals aren't in the game and they eat a huge punish if I block it. I'm still having fun with it though.

>Better than anything else out there
>When Guilty Gear exists
Capcumguzzlers are fucking insane

Based.

Is Ultra Street Fighter IV worth trying out?
It's $13 on PS4, BUT it's $5 on PS3.

who is easier, poison or lucina. am a noob and sfv always have waifu bait thats always the hardest to play.

I am absolute shit at the game and Ed is the only character I can string a combo with. Shame.

Very based.

> I think I always felt this way but seeing him in SFV just awakened this fire in me
lmao

Lucia

>Mfw seeing that one move where his back is facing the camera
I know what you mean

This chart is incorrect.
t. someone who watched almost everything.

Poison is very easy to figure out but lucina is more worth the effort and can work without learning anything fancy. A lot of her stuff just flows together once you take her to training for a few minutes. Poison however just feels over all clunky and that might be a real turn off if you're just starting out.

watch those ankles

>half
NONE of those inputs are dps

tekken shill having a mental break down in this thread right now
