In my neighborhood at least, 360 was always what we joked was the console that all the white dudes had. LITERAL "real niggas" had PS3. A few black dudes had 360, but not many. And I'm from one of the blackest cities in America, so this should be a somewhat decent representation of black gamers in general I think.

I will say though that early adapters of 7th gen systems DID get 360, because NOBODY was paying $600 for a game console. But that also doesn't change anything because most people I knew didn't get a 7th gen system until like 2007 or 2008 at which point they were both like $400 IIRC.

ps3 multiplats depended on the studio, most jap games ran better on ps3 than 360 like dark souls. PSN was worse than XBL at the time I agree but it was free. Not to mention ps3 actually got games post 2009 and 360 lost all its exclusives and did nothing but kinect shit. If you didn't sell your 360 at the end of the gen, like I did, you made a mistake.

Online play was the defining aspect of last gen and Xbox 360 did it best, despite it's shitty price tag. It also came out before the PS3 and was much cheaper. It also took years for the PS3 to start amassing real exclusives. 360 had a lot of flaws but it had a lot more benefits.

Xbox has literally no exclusives, most Sony exclusives are the same grounded, photo-realistic walky-talky bullshit movie-games that care more about graffix and presentation than anything else. If Nintendo weren't still making lots of good exclusives for their platforms I wouldn't even own a console. Every new generation sees MS and Sony strip away more of what made consoles worth owning in the first place. No more "put the game in, play", instead we get massive day-one patches because half the game isn't on the disc and the publisher aid ship it anyway, mountains of paid DLC, fucking loot crates, paid online, etc.
