CURSE YOU... SAGES!
CURSE YOU... ZELDA!
CURSE YOU... eric!
CURSE YOU... SAGES!
No erics allowed in this thread
I know its probably autistic, but it absolutely disgusts me when people change the canon names of characters in games.
My name is Eric.
FUCK ERIC
CURSE YOU... SAGES!
CURSE YOU... ZELDA!
CURSE YOU... ZELDA!
Luckily BOTW fixed this issue.
if the game gives me an option to change names, i will change them
whats wrong with that?
I named Tifa after my old crush Kaylee
CURSE YOU... Link!
In OOT all it does is ask "Name?"
If you're a little kid who just got a nintendo 64 as his first gaming console and it came with OOT, theres no way you'd have the foresight to think "My character should be called Link"
For something like Final Fantasy though, were the canon name comes in first as default, yeah I agree 100% user.
I just hate when there's no default name in something that's not a role playing game
CURSE YOU... DICKS!
My copy of OOT was bought from a second hand store, when I booted it up it had three save files.
GREG
GREG.COM
JAYHOVA
GREG.COM was basically a 100% save file, and as a kid I just sorta picked that one to see what was what, right outside gannon, etc etc. Walked in did the boss, beat him. Now looking back on it I can only remember:
"CURSE YOU... SAGES!
CURSE YOU... ZELDA!
CURSE YOU... GREG.COM" and it still cracks me up to this day.
eric wouldya get out of it?!!
CURSE YOU... SAGES!
CURSE YOU... ZELDA!
CURSE YOU... Faggot!
Literally unsolvable problem. Either have a whole game of people shouting LINK or have the best moment with 'dorf speaking in different tones for some reason.
this whole thing would've been fixed with
CURSE YOU... HERO!
wowwwww
Wow that takes me back. That game was fantastic.
CURSE YOU... SAGES!
CURSE YOU... ZELDA!
CURSE YOU... nigger
>it isn't explicitly mentioned in the menu
>start game
>Hello, NAME!
>instantly goes back to main menu to start over
Am i the only one who didnt know at first changing the save name changed links name
Eric Sparrow is the greatest antagonist in video games. The decay of your friendship with him is incredibly true to life. Real celebrities are well aware that they are surrounded by people like Eric. Every relationship is suspect.
It’s amazing that the game is as memorable as it was.
CURSE YOU... SAGES!
CURSE YOU... ZELDA!
CURSE YOU... nigger
CURSE YOU... SAGES!
CURSE YOU... ZELDA!
CURSE YOU... Dad!
>playing multiplayer FPS
>it has on screen kill feed
>You were killed by a pack of wild niggers!
>look at their Steam profile
>Mel Gibson is their profile pic
On the Australian Mordhau servers there was a guy called "Mel Gibson's #1 Fan" who would exclusively spend his time talking about Jewish conspiracy theories in chat.
Cringe
I'M CARRYING THE WILL
CURSE YOU... SAGES!
CURSE YOU... ZELDA!
CURSE YOU... Jamal!
If the character has a canon name, I just go with that.
CURSE YOU... SAGES!
CURSE YOU... ZELDA!
CURSE YOU... MARIO!
CURSE YOU... SAGES!
CURSE YOU... ZELDA!
CURSE YOU... niqqa!
Why are so many Aussie's based yet have such a cucked government?
>will
I'M CARRYING THE WHEEL
THANKS FOR ALL YOU'VE SHOWN US
BUT THIS IS HOW WE FEEL
i feel the same way about people who use anything but the default color palette in fighting games
>had FF3 for DS
>lend it to my friend one day
>realize that I named Refia after my crush
I don't think he even played it
an actual good thread
CURSE YOU...SNEED
>tfw changed Link's name to MARIO in my first time playing a Zelda game
ok
greg.com is a cool place to hang out
Unsolvable? The most basic comparison would work. The name field could export the text it has in it, and then have it added to the screen's variable for the instance with only upper case letters.
It can be as simple as a boolean IF sort.
>go to string.x
>IF a then print A
>IF b then print B
>IF c then print C
>IF d then print D
>IF e then print E
>IF f then print F
>IF g then print G
>IF h then print H
>IF i then print I
>IF j then print J
>IF k then print K
>IF l then print L
>IF m then print M
>IF n then print N
>IF o then print O
>IF p then print P
>IF q then print Q
>IF r then print R
>IF s then print S
>IF t then print T
>IF u then print U
>IF v then print V
>IF w then print W
>IF x then print X
>IF y then print Y
>If z then print Z
>else print
>string.x eql string.x+1
>IF null END
>go to 20
The only reason this is a problem is that the localizing team putting English script in didn't foresee it as a problem.
