The one thing that rubs me the wrong way about the whole duplicate Big Boss thing they did with Venom was that Boss was alive and conscious when they made the switch. It should've been a backup plan that he and Ocelot devised as a fail safe in case something happened to Boss, with the medic being hand-picked or something as their top guy in case they ever needed to play that card.
The whole idea of Big Boss fucking off to "build Outer Heaven" while a psychopath with a bioweapon that could destroy the whole world and a hypnokid capable of somehow controlling the single most dangerous metal gear in the entire series is complete bullshit.
Boss should've woken up after Skullface was neutralized and the threats of the parasites and Sahelanthrepus were eliminated. He shouldn't have been awake and in hiding during the events of the game.
