Raiden is confirmed and both Terry & Maxima are guaranteed, so I guess all I really want are King of Dinosaurs & Antonov to come back. I could see them bringing back Tizoc instead of KoD which is cool too, but Antonov is easily my favorite XIV newcomer and I want him to stick around.

I love tag fighters but KOF has always had its niche in the "each character is a round" style of team fighters. What I'd like to see is the ability to call your teammates as an assist, but only ones behind your character in the lineup; your point gets 2 assists while your mid gets 1 and your anchor has none, but obviously the amount of maximum meter/resources increases as you lose characters. It would add a major extra layer to team building, and there's been KOF games with assists before, just from a separate striker character.

You're required to learn multiple characters but still play it like a 1v1 game, and be able to switch between characters as you lose a round. There's also relatively complex movement for a grounded fighter, since there are 4 kinds of jumps and generally a universal roll. Every game has different systems though, and some are definitely better than others mechanically. Not all 15 KOFs are great, and there's other SNK fighting game series that came together into KOF that existed beforehand as well (and some that remained separate and died out that are good, with SamSho getting a revival that it deserved).

For me it's the fact that there's a ton of varied characters that often complement each other and the fantastic character designs (unless they just team up because they have to be put somewhere) the fact that up until kof XIV almost EVERYONE had the same voice actor since 94 which really greatly helped getting attached to them. Also 3v3 bich

They literally had everything to make something fairly enjoyable but the chinks are incompetent so we got ugly ass faces, twink body types and a boring storyboard. Still, it's so bad it's good

Its a fast fluid/fast paced fighter with great mobility tools, fancy but not exagerated combos, and imo, the best character designs out of any other fighter.
